Kokotel Bangkok Surawong

Overall it was a comfortable stay. The air-conditioning was excellent, one of the best in Bangkok I would say, for a pretty budget hotel. The room could be a bit small for some but I think it's just the right size for a solo traveller. I was able to fully open a 29in suitcase and a carry-on with just enough space to walk to the bathroom but blocking the main door. This hotel is environmentally friendly, not much amenities in the room (but is available upon request). Water machine is just outside in the hallway. The only 2 downside for me is: 1) they have a beautiful desk with chair but has no plug nearby, quite inconvenient if you want to use your laptop. There are 2 plugs on each side of the bed tho. 2) The reception is located in a separate building. There are 4 flights of pretty high stairs leading to the reception. If you have bulky luggage, that means u have to go up and down twice to check in and out. I checked in really late at night so the kind gentleman at the reception assisted me with my luggage but at check out I was on my own.

It’s a good hotel for a short stay, easy to get around, the price comparing the quality is good enough. The hotel is same as descriptions, the staffs are very helpful, breakfast don’t have much options only few things same as picture described. They gave us a Photo Booth only can join one time per stay. It’s really good. The kids loved the slide and the playroom is ok for the size of the hotel. The room is good and the size of the beds are ok. In general can recommend it for sure. It’s close to every places by taking grab.

Do not trust this place! Lots of good reviews, but they are just thieves. Did not stay here, would not refund me. I was kind honest and promptly let them know the back pain their beds caused me. They did not care, did not reply to my booking agency ignored them, and would not consider any time of refund. Nice on the way in, but the opposite on the way out. I guess they just want to trade reviews for money. Money is more important to them than the customer. Better hotels right next door honestly, like way better! At the same price, if not cheaper. Shame on you guys

I am cominb back to give a more detailed review. My family and I stayed for two weeks here and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. The room was cozy and comfortable, the WiFi and smart TV worked really well and the kids enjoyed using them as well as the play area. The staff were super kind and attentive. They helped us resolve our payment issue with the biggest smiles. The breakfast menu was pretty decent and healthy. Overall, I would recommend kokotel over and over again to anyone. It's a 100/10. I have been staying here for many times. Bed always comfy, i love it. But recently often found dust on curtain, and some rooms have a feel of unventilate due to the structure i assume. I would suggest the hostel improve this issue, so that it will be more comfortable.

This hotel was a really bad choice for my business trip. Even though I asked for an early check-in and a quiet room via email before I arrived, they first gave me a room right by the noisy main road. Most of the deluxe rooms face this noisy road, so you hear cars all night. I had to complain again to get a quieter room, but it still had problems. The AC in room 77 was so loud I had to use earplugs to sleep. Also, the toilet in the next room was right next to my bedroom wall, so I could hear everything. Plus, there was a noisy water pipe in my room. Breakfast was just okay, with not many choices, and you had to pick from a set menu. I also found that customer service in Thailand isn't great, and it was often hard to understand each other because of the language. I only picked this hotel because it was close to the Marriott where my conference was, and I could walk there. But the noise and other issues made it a terrible place to stay for a business trip. I wouldn't recommend it.

We were very disappointed with our stay. Unfortunately, we left a valuable pencil case in the room. We contacted the hotel and were told that nothing had been found. It is difficult for us to believe that such a noticeable item simply disappeared. The way our case was handled felt unprofessional and not customer-oriented. We will not be returning.
