"A mountain in the Western Tatras, Kasprowy Wierch towers 6,519 feet above the border between Poland and Slovakia. A cable car runs to the top, making the mountain an ideal place for skiing in the winter, hiking in the summer, or simply enjoying the sweeping views year-round. There are two ski runs that go to the bottom, though both are rather demanding and require experience. If you decide to attempt them, be prepared to wait for the cable car, as Kasprowy Wierch is a very popular skiing destination. In the summer, you can take the cable car to the top starting at 7 a.m., or walk all the way up—depending on the route, it’ll take you about four hours."
Amazing place! We took the cable car and bought our tickets earlier that morning. When we arrived, we saw a very long line, so it’s worth checking the website even if you’re already there. Prices change depending on the time of day, so if you want a cheaper option, check the website to see when it’s best to go. We went up the mountain and hiked back down — really beautiful!

It was amazing. I'd like to hike there next time instead of the cable car. Be careful with the timing and the weather, even though it was sunny, up there was crazy cold and windy. After some time we were completely in the clouds.

It's as beautiful as it is crowded. Buy your tickets in advance and only from PKL official website. Depending where you are staying you can most likely get to the lift station by walking. You can bring water and snacks with you, although the cafe is great if you're planning on exploring for a while, and there is a lot to explore. But please don't leave your litter behind. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. It is a hiking trail and not a fashion runway. Also watch your kids as there are no safety restrictions and you can easily fall down the mountain. Mid mornings and early afternoons are very, very busy so do expect large crowds, and remember, you are not the only one so be kind and be polite and your experience will be that much more enjoyable. The beauty of the mountain range speaks for itself so you will not regret choosing it as a family friendly activity.

Waited in line to get a ticked for about 1,5h, eventually decided to hike instead of waiting. Great hike (northern route along the left side of the river) fairly easy if trained well maintained path except for all the garbage :( after the ascend we wanted to take the cable car but we were told that again we needed to wait a long time with the possibility of being stranded. Eventually I decided to do the descent by foot what ended up in a beautiful scenic hike into sundown!

Great views.
We hiked. 3 h up. Took cable car back down 30 euros, very expensive. To expensive for a Eastern Europe country. Makes no sense its more expensive than the ones in North America…. But it is what it is.
No parking close must get private parking.
Lots of people.
Great views at the top Only. Worth it for hiker not so much for non hikers, your kind of just gonna wait in a super long line to get on top of a mountain then you have 1,40 min max on top before waiting in line again and going back down.
Cool hike for hikers. Not super difficult

We couldn’t find tickets online, so we bought ours at the ticket office. We went around 11 a.m. and waited in line for about an hour and a half. The up-down ticket is 149 zloty, giving you 1 hour and 40 minutes at the top. It’s a bit more expensive, but if you want to spend more time up there, you can buy your return ticket once you’ve gone up. I remember seeing a lower price before, so I guess it’s gone up during the busy season. It was a great experience, and the views were amazing.

Another great spot to visit once in southern Poland. We visited on a weekday, out of summer holidays and there was no line whatsoever. If you get lucky with weather as well, you'll be getting beautiful views. The Ground station is not accessible by cars, cars to be parked in town and shuttle to be taken to the ground station. Area is wheelchair accessible; lifts and ramps are available all the way through. Eating outlets are available around the area as well. Free restrooms are available next to the ticket booth.

This cable car was not the best we have experienced. There’s only one cable car on the Polish side of the Tatras, so they have a captive audience. You are expected to show up 20 minutes early for your time slot and you are then packed in like sardines. It’s the only Gondola type
cable car I have experienced where all 40-60 people have to get out half way up and change cars. Once you get up there you have only one hour and fourth minutes on your round trip ticket before you are expected back for the return trip. The price wasn’t too bad but I would have liked to spend several hours hiking before I had to return.
