Kolmenhof inn at the Breg spring

We just turned up without booking to make use of the new pop up camping spot in this beautiful location. The owners have a few spots for a nights camp for camper vans or tents for a very reasonable price if you have their breakfast ( very good and reasonably priced too). The hotel itself looked great if you want a bit more luxurybut we were really happy to have had the evening meal there which was lovely. Our hosts were fabulous and couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.

My family and I were visiting for 3 days. The hotel owner was charming and helpful. Her English is impeccable. If you like to stay where it is quiet and relaxed then this is for you. The restaurant's food was excellent with many choices. Those serving were again fluent in English and more than attentive. We ate trout for the first time and had no idea how to best tackle this meal. Our waitress sat down with us and demonstrated how best to eat it, all the while with a smile and sense of humor. The rooms are small but clean. I would not hesitate to go there again at any time and would recommend it to anyone.

I hope to visit again! Located in a peaceful spot above the town of Furtwagen, Kolmenhof was a sanctuary. Easy but beautiful hiking was readily available from the B&B. Sweeping views from some of the bedrooms. The staff hold every position and were gracious and willing to help. Family run and family friendly establishment.

We have stayed here twice. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The restaurant has fantastic food and great beer. The breakfast was delicious and they serve coffee to you. There are beautiful hikes close by and we see many people riding bikes. The family is so kind and helpful. The guesthouse is about 30 mins from Triberg.

Stayed one night early September. Property is located in the depths of the Black Forest, very tranquil and picturesque. Traditional German hotel/guesthouse with modern facilities. The room was quite large with ensuite bathroom and was clean and comfortable. |Had dinner in the restaurant and the food was very nice with generous portions. Fairly extensive menu. Breakfast the next morning was a little limited choice but good quality. |Plenty of parking and the owner offered to have our motorbike overnight in their garage. |Overall a very enjoyable experience and if we are ever in the area again we would definitely stay here again.

Our family absolutely loved this place and we regret having had only one night to stay here. The proprietor was very sweet and welcoming, the food excellent - you should have the smoked trout! - and the room was spotless, quiet and up-to-date with super-comfortable beds. We hope to return some day!

We stayed at the Kolmenhof ahead of a bike trip we'd planned, travelling from the source of the Danube to Budapest and back. The official source of the Danube is right outside this hotel making it a very convenient hotel to stay to kick off our adventure.||||The Dold family were more than welcoming and very helpful to us, giving us great local advice and offering real flexibility about our return journey booking at the hotel.||||The staff at the Kolmenhof were also really friendly and did everything they could to help with small issues (like digging out a UK plug adapter - we'd forgotten ours!) A special thanks to Julia who remembered the requirement for gluten free bread without prompting! ||||The rooms at the Kolmenhof are of various sizes, some big enough to accommodate families. Our room was delightful with a view directly over the source of the Danube. The setting of the hotel is wonderful - it would be a challenge to find anywhere as tranquil, and the Black Forest is a delightful backdrop. The restaurant food and breakfast , along with the service were excellent. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we'd love to go back. It's a great place to go directly on the forest trails on mountain bikes or to walk and simply drink in the peace and natural surroundings.||||Thank you, again to Katharina and Christoph for being excellent hosts.

The short time we experienced here was: - too short - expectation exceeding - familiar and welcoming - heart warming - taste buds pleasing - child friendly to the maximum We have had the best time here! The "Gasthaus" style, the friendly people, the cute rustic rooms, the great drinks, air, food, views and basically everything was wonderful! Thank you for everything!
