Kolo Bike Park

Overall a bit disappointing. I tried to ride the jump lines earlier in the year (back in July) but they said the 2 biggest lines were closed... It now being November I was hoping they would be open but alas that is not so (the biggest line was open but not the smaller one next to it so progression over jumping building confidence to go bigger is not there). Trail maintenance is needed badly on the Intermediate trail loop as the back half of that was also closed. I'm sure it's great for kids and families, but as a solo rider I wish I would have spent my day elsewhere. I don't think I'll be back unless the trails and jumps are better maintained and fully open

This place was awesome! I attended with my 7 year old. He enjoyed the 2 hours of trail riding. He even took a nap, afterwards.😂

Kolo bike park is fun for all levels! We stayed on the easy trails since my daughter is still learning to ride. This place really gave her a confidence boost and she even took on some hills at the skills park. Zip lining looked fun and popular. The staff upon check in was friendly and informative. I love that they offer locals a discount. Will definitely be back!!

Sick jump parks and some nice trails through the woods. Some nice big wooden features (berm, booter jumps, see-saw, drops…) and lots of well shaped, hard packed, smooth dirt rollers, tabletops, and doubles. A few rock gardens and technical stuff but mostly nice smooth singletrack. $25 for a full day bike pass, and you can rent bikes if needed (a decent hardtail or dirt jumper works for most of the stuff though).

Easy to book, great check-in experience. Excellent rental bikes - but odd that the equipment guy didn't know how to change gears and said "just ride around and figure it out". Nice trails but they could be marked a little better - got lost a few times. Overall, had a nice time.

Awesome bicycling experience! Registration and sign in is made very easy after you give all the required information just one time. I bring my own bikes but they have a pretty good selection of rental bikes at fair prices for you to choose from. They have a nice selection of souvenirs to take home as well, t-shirts, stickers, water bottles, socks, etc. As for the bike riding aspect, there is something for riders of all skill levels! It has pump tracks, cross country trails, enduro trails with technical features, an obsticle course, and my personal favorite, the dirt jumps! Theres small tabletops, big table tops, and big gap jumps. You can learn to catch air here, or dial in your tricks on the big air jumps, nobody judges you here, just encouragement! I'm sure if anyone was causing problems or bullying the staff would promptly handle it. I also don't have to worry about my vehicle being robbed in the parking lot while I'm off in a different section of the park. I do wish it was a bit cheaper but for all you get its well worth it. Closest place to Andrews NC with public access dirt jumps. The whole park is pretty well maintained.

Super affordable, Absolute must for MTB'ers, if you're in the area. Great beginner trail sections, wooden features, dirt pump tracks, dirt jumps, from beginner to professional, and even an XC trail. Didn't get to ride all of the park as I went down on a dirt jump and had to go get tree stitches in my elbow. I'd go back every day if we didn't live nine hours away.

The park is awesome! We are just passing through and decided to stop. I am glad we did. They offer zip lining, mountain biking, and pump tracks. We rented an e-bike and that thing is kool. The kids had a blast as well.

This was a waste of time. First, there is not one single sign identifying the location until you are standing on their "porch". That's when you will see this waist high faded "Kolo" sign. It took me 30 plus minutes to find the place with GPS and only after a phone call. Their website is misleading. If you are looking for a kid friendly place to pedal and zip line- cool. If you are in town looking to mtn bike- forget it. Does the name indicate "Kids Only something something"?I didn't get that from the website. 2nd, they have regular office hours, closing at 5pm. Awesome if you are a stay at home parent but as a traveler looking to ride after work- not good (website could have been a lot more helpful here). Lastly, I got there at 4:30. With "only 30 Minutes left to ride", they recommended that I come back a couple days later and ride- at full price ($25)! ?!? I'm really glad that they are helping to expose young riders to the sport but fix the website and get some signage and if someone arrives with only a few minutes left to ride, you might think about offering the twilight price if they come back another day. The good news is that I did find a fantastic area to ride about 25 minutes away. Bent Creek. Open past 5pm and no charge. Plus the locals (and the shop nearby-Epic) there are super friendly and helpful.

My sons home away from home. What Ana amazing place. They treat you like family! My son has been coming here for two years now and it's seriously amazing. They care about what he is learning and teach from the heart. I love everything about this place!

Fun is fun. Fun here is fun because they have stuff I find to be fun. The mountain bike trail is fun and gives your body something called exercise, which I find fun too. It's a win win. The trails need a little bit of maintenance to make it a little more fun but it works.

Did an outdoor play date there with a couple of 5 year olds yesterday. So fun that we bought an annual pass! Our kid had a fantastic time, and we've only explored a tiny chunk of the park so far!

This was exactly the experience i was looking for when searching for a bike rental spot, while vacationing in Asheville. The service was excellent, the bike options fit my needs/level and was very well maintained. The course was diverse and super fun. I am 100% satisfied, and want to come back with friends and family.

I read about Kolo online and looked forward to visiting the park. I appreciate their effort to bring mountain biking and BMX recreation to an urban proximity. While in Asheville, my lodging was in downtown. My drive over to Kolo was only about 6 minutes. Once I arrived, I easily found parking and walked in to ask a few questions, I was quickly greeted and helped. I had my BMX with me so I just paid 8 bucks for a two hour ride along trails with really good flow. A few signs were confusing, but on my second run, I had a good flow. I like this park and the staff. I will definitely return and suggest others check it out.

Our family enjoys Kolo Bike Park so much that my kids have an annual pass, they attend camps and clinics there and they ask to have their friends there to celebrate their birthdays. The trails are fun and allow everyone to try things that are new and can advance their bike skills. The camps have counselors that truly enjoy teaching kids to be better riders. Danielle and Collin run an awesome program and facility. Jeff has created a great place for adults and kids to enjoy bikes right in downtown asheville. Go check it out!!!

The trails are marked is what I was told, but only with about 2 markers per trail, and even those don't tell you which trail you are on. That mixed with the fact that there are dozens of unmarked roads lead to a terrible experience. 1 star.

My kids are loving the summer camp at Kolo!! Great facility, great instruction, and happy tired kids at the end of the day.... win-win!
