Kolsai Lakes National Park

It’s really a stunning place. For sure it will be more stunning with nicer weather condition. It’s windy at the mountain side so better have scarf or jacket with you or if you are a tougher one;) the water is fresh cold when I touch it. Some people like to try the horse riding there. Why not especially up to the hill. Better than use your own legs😅

Kolsai Lake is so pretty! 🌲💧 Big mountains, green trees, and clear blue water. You can walk, take pictures, or ride a boat and a horse. It’s quiet and peaceful. A fun place for nature and fresh air.

Stunning! Visited the lake at the end of winter and saw it half frozen and half clear. I was told that the locals will do a lot of boat activities during summer time when the lake is really clear. There are a few cabins on top of the lake in case you want to spend the night.

A really nice lake, surrounded by lots of trails and things to do. A very popular spot for tourists and locals alike. Few places to grab some food, do horse riding or a photoshooting dressed in traditional Kazakh clothes.

Visited this magnificent place during Christmas holiday. The lake looks absolutely beautiful and stunning! During the winter you can clearly tell that there is A LOT of snow and the ice is even thick enough for you to walk on which was really cool. If you love winter imagery, you can take amazing looking photos of winter and snow here. I recommend visiting here if you ever decide to come to Kazakhstan!👍🌅

Kolsai Lakes feels like walking into the Kazakh version of the book Heidi. Giant, breathtaking mountains, beautiful lakes, valleys filled with wildflowers. It's a bit of a drive to get here, but I found a day trip from Almaty for around $60, and I'm so glad I did! This place stole my heart. I only wish I'd had time to hike deeper into the park, but I knew what I was signing up for. I didn't do any of the many activities they have here, but I went off on a back trail a bit, and it got prettier the further I went. It looks like there's a hotel on the lake, so I think I'm going to come back and check that out in the future. Seriously, if you're on the fence, do yourself a favor and check out Kolsai!

It is a beautiful lake and it it was frozen in the month of March. There are few restaurants around the lake and you have to walk for almost a kilometer to reach there.
