6 ways to celebrate International Women's Day in Singapore - SilverKris

"A striking restaurant and sushi bar at Marina Bay Sands presenting executive chef Kunihiro Moroi’s modern interpretation of Japanese cuisine, complemented by impressive cocktails and bold decor anchored by a giant 2.5m bell featuring 20 faces; for International Women’s Day (7 March) ladies enjoy one-for-one cocktails, and purchasing such a cocktail can include free entry to a partnering nightclub before midnight." - Balvinder Sandhu

8 ways to celebrate Halloween in Singapore - SilverKris

"An acclaimed Japanese restaurant at Marina Bay Sands offering Halloween-themed food and drinks, including a dark cocktail called KOMA Raven (made with Patrón XO Cafe, Plantation Original Dark Rum, Luxardo Cherry Liqueur and Kahlúa) and a gothic dessert, Murder Was The Case, featuring black sesame gelato in a crunchy black sesame waffle cone topped with chocolate praline and raspberry sauce. The specials lean into dramatic flavors and presentation for a seasonal dining experience." - Vanessa Tai

We recently visited KOMA to celebrate my birthday, and while the food didn’t quite live up to my expectations, the ambience truly made up for it. The interior design is done with such taste and class—absolutely stunning. Loved the ceiling; it’s a real showstopper and adds so much character to the space. The cocktails were another highlight of the evening. They were well-crafted and tasted really good, especially the Umeshu Sunrise and Sawayaka Sake—both refreshing and perfectly balanced and not overly sweet or bland. The cake and desserts were also impressive, with rich chocolate that was thick yet not overly sweet. The presentation and plating of the dishes were beautifully done, making everything look very appetising. Overall, while the food could improve, KOMA’s ambience, cocktails, and desserts made the birthday celebration memorable.

What's not to like? Stunning ambience, craveable food, impeccable service! Had the most delightful experience at Koma. From the moment we stepped in to the moment we left, the hospitality was off the charts! Everything we had was delectable but the Charcoal Grilled Yellowtail Collar and the Lemon Yuzu dessert was just sublime! Tip: for those who avoid alcohol in their food, they also have an alcohol-free menu.

Food was absolutely amazing!! I would definitely go back for it. The atmosphere could have been better. It was the Halloween weekend, and they decided to use some cheap decorations which spoiled the main interior design. The staff was a bit too forgetful firstly when we ordered the waitress repeated the order and came back to ask again what was our order. Secondly they did not come to check on us to give us back the menu to order more when we were done with our appetizers. Finally it was my wife’s birthday, I clearly asked on my booking to kindly add an happy birthday note on her desert plate, this has not been done.

Celebrated my husband and son's birthday. The restaurant boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere, with soft lighting and comfortable seating with attentive staff anticipating every need and ensuring a memorable dining experience. Appealing food presentation but all our verdict was average. We have higher expectations for the beef but we were quite disappointed. Dessert bonsai was nice. Overall it was still a nice dining experience. Free slice of cake for birthday babies and complimentary parking coupon given.

✨ KOMA Singapore — More than a meal, it’s a show. Walking through the orange tunnel of KOMA feels like stepping into Kyoto, but with the drama of Las Vegas. The glowing torii gates lead into a grand hall where a giant bell, wooden bridge, and reflecting pool instantly make you go “wow.” Every corner is cinematic — you don’t just dine here, you arrive. The atmosphere is lively yet elegant, with just the right balance of energy and intimacy. Perfect for a night out when you want something that feels special — a place where every photo turns out beautifully, even without trying. Food-wise, I’d call it modern Japanese with flair. The Wagyu beef gyoza melts in your mouth, and the crispy chicken with tomato ponzu is surprisingly addictive. The signature sushi rolls are creative — not the most traditional, but beautifully plated and full of texture. A few dishes can feel a little more “style than substance,” but when the flavors land, they really land. Dessert deserves its own mention — their Japanese cheesecake is light, creamy, and the perfect sweet ending after all the umami. Service is polished, a little on the “fine-dining rehearsed” side, but still attentive. The staff know the best angles for photos and even help you get that shot by the bell (yes, everyone takes one there 😄). Price-wise, it’s definitely a treat — not somewhere for everyday dinners, but for celebrations or when you want to indulge in the full Marina Bay Sands experience, it’s worth it. If I had to sum it up: 💫 Ambience 10/10 🍣 Food 7.5/10 🕯️ Service 8.5/10 Overall, KOMA isn’t just dinner — it’s a sensory experience that makes you feel like you’ve travelled without leaving Singapore.

We celebrated our anniversary at Koma Singapore and it turned out to be one of those evenings that will stay with us for a long time. The atmosphere was both grand and intimate, which made the whole experience feel extra special. Every dish was beautifully presented and so full of flavor, it felt like each course was its own small celebration. We found ourselves smiling more than once just looking at each other and realizing how happy we were to be there together. What made it unforgettable was not just the food or the setting, but the feeling of being truly seen and taken care of. For a milestone like an anniversary, that means everything. The staff surprised us with little touches with the desserts that showed they genuinely cared. Koma gave us more than a dinner, they gave us a memory we will always hold close.

Always enjoy different cuisine and Japanese is one which when done well is so amazing. Korma do better than well their food is exquisite and so are the surroundings. As soon as you arrive and walk in you know you are in for a treat and an experience you will never forget. The whole restaurant is a feast for the eyes and complements the food. Service is professional, swift and makes you instantly relax. You completely loose yourself in this special experience.

Came back a second time while staying at MBS!! Such a vibe and everything was lovely, food 11/10 and drinks 11/10, service 11/10 too. Definitely will recommend for a date night or celebrating a special occasion with special someone🤩 We ordered a whisky cocktail before which was on a seasonal menu but they managed to whip up the exact same cocktail for us upon asking for it:)
