Kome

We had high expectations based on the reviews and numerous recommendations to try Kome. The food was mediocre in our opinion. We went on Wednesday night which was tapas night. There were around 30 tapas dishes to choose from ranging in cuisines like Jamaican beef patties to chicken liver to mac n cheese. We tried the dumplings, fish tacos, arancini balls (a special that night), Jamaican beef patties and a caramel cake for dessert. Service was really good. We didn’t have a long wait for any items. Each dish was good but none were knock your socks off memorable dishes. Of the four tapas, the arancini were probably my favorite and the tacos were my husband’s. Portions were on the bigger side so we filled up from 4. Dessert was good and ice cream had good flavor. Worth it to try but nothing super memorable. We could walk from our hotel but if you’re driving then parking may be difficult to find on a busy night.

Do I even need to write a review?? 5 stars all the way around. The first place on the island we found to make us a delicious 🥃 Old Fashioned! Aside from that food was spectacular. Service was friendly and informative. We would come back absolutely.

This was easily the best meal we’ve had so far on the island. We began with the shrimp appetizer, which was outstanding, especially paired with the warm, house bread that was perfect for soaking up the sauce—an excellent start to the meal. For the main course, there was a 20-ounce ribeye special that my wife and I shared, and it was exceptional. Cooked perfectly and full of flavor, it stood out as a highlight of the evening. One of the sleeper stars of the night, however, was the truffle mac and cheese—rich, balanced, and executed beautifully. Service was attentive and welcoming throughout the experience, which made the evening even more enjoyable. This is a place we will absolutely return to before we leave. The wait for the food was extremely long, at least 30 minutes and I was only here on a Wednesday night. They had Mahi nachos as the special of the day so I got that and also tried the steamed pork dumplings. Mahi nachos tasted fresh but were like extremely salty I had to pick out the fish just weird. Pork dumplings were quite spicy which I liked but they lacked flavor or seasoning. Tokyo millionaire cocktail was quite sour and had too much ice, the Euro trip drink was a better choice. The bartender lady seemed friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Was given a complimentary drink because of the long wait for the food. Ambiance is elevated casual. Overall, nothing spectacular for me to say I’ll give it another try. Total bill came up to 54USD

Tonight was our fourth time to dine at Kome over the past three years of annual visits to Curaçao—and second visit this week! This was our first time to dine on “Tapas Night” (Wednesday’s). The tapas menu features small plates from the regular daily menu, so it’s a great chance to try multiple dishes. We had Brussel Sprouts, Thai Chicken Thighs, Dumplings, and Pork Belly Sliders—all excellent! Our favorite was the Brussel Sprouts (which are awesome, even if you think you don’t like Brussel Sprouts—these will change your mind!). Our server was Kelly, who was excellent! Very engaging, knowledgeable and attentive. Luke, the floor manager and our server from earlier this week, Bas, both stopped by to say hello, which was thoughtful. All in all, if someone visiting Curaçao for the first time were to ask us for a dining recommendation, we’d point them to Kome as our first choice. It’s a clear winner!

We had such a great experience here. The food was delicious, but what truly stood out was the service. Every staff member was friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in. A special shout-out to Kelly, the manager — her service mindset is top notch. She made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. We absolutely loved her. Overall, great food and exceptional service. We’ll definitely be back!

I had a fantastic dinner at Kome and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Curaçao. I went for the tapas night on Wednesday, and every dish was memorable. The truffle mac and cheese was incredibly rich and indulgent — exactly what you want when you order something with truffle. The Cajun shrimp were fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. My favorite of the savory dishes was the ribeye, which was deeply marbled and packed with flavor. Really impressive quality. For dessert, I had the Kome Bolo with passion fruit, and it was outstanding — bright, tangy, and the perfect sweet finish. One of the best desserts I’ve had on the island. The atmosphere at Kome is great, the service is friendly, and the food is consistently creative and well-executed. Definitely worth a visit while in Curaçao.

We went to Kome for lunch since we couldn’t get a dinner reservation the night we wanted, and it ended up being a great experience. The food was very good, and the cocktails were excellent — the spicy margarita was a standout. We’d definitely return!
