"Commune with the Sun There has been an explosion of beach clubs in Bali recently, and Komune was one of the first. About 15 minutes east of Sanur, it's in a spot that was only known to surfers until it arrived, attracting families, people from Ubud in need of some coastal breezes, and people passing on their way to or from further out on the east coast. They do have bungalows to stay in which are really nice, but Komune's biggest selling point is that it's a great place to pass a Sunday, with the massive mattresses, nice big pool, restaurant with tasty food and drinks, and a stunning view out to sea. The beach is black sand so it can be a bit hot but it's stunning. They also do evening surf and DJ sessions that are super laid-back and friendly."

Dewa, Anta, Kylie and the rest of the wedding team at hotel Komune made our wedding a truely incredible experience. We were treated like absolute royalty and everything that we could have thought about was already done before we could ask. They worked so well as a team to make everything come together perfectly. The Nannie’s who helped with the children were so lovely and kind and did a great job also. The location is spectacular anfdthe set up was everything we could have dreamed of and more. The food was also delicious and there was so much of it! Truely grateful we chose this team and location for our wedding.

Komune is so special to us, as we got married here September 2025. This place is pure bliss, our favourite spot in Bali! The location is stunning, the accomodation is beautiful and the staff are so kind and attentive. For the wedding everything was perfect. Kylie, Dewa, Anta and the rest of the wedding team went above and beyond for us. The attention to detail ensured the wedding day and events before and after went so smoothly and were so much fun. Everything was perfect - from the morning yoga, the incredible food and the fabulous dance floor (accompanied by some epic fireworks). Could not recommend Komune highly enough, and cannot wait to come back. Thanks so much to all the staff for making it so special!

We just returned from a mates birthday party at Kumune. What a great time. While the kids enjoyed many activities and finally got a rest they deserved. The parents were cared for and entertained with massages, food, AFL grand finals, alcohol and nap times. The great staff at Komune (including resident look alike Robert De Niro) cleaned up after us, made sangria jugs before bed and I'm sure if one us had an accident he would've changed us too. 5 stars

We had the most wonderful experience staying at Komune Resort and hosting one of our Save My Marriage School retreats there. Degus, Agung and the whole team were so incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay which made our jobs as facilitators more enjoyable. If you are health conscious, love nature and appreciate exceptional service, food and rooms I would highly recommend Komune Resort. Whether you are hosting an event, attending one or simply staying for the surf the experience has been second to none.

I stayed at Komune for a yoga retreat with 29 others and had the most wonderful experience. The food was incredible, amenities top notch, and the staff are some of the most sincerely kind and helpful folks I've met. We spent a week at the Komune Hotel in Bali. Where to start…The grounds are absolutely beautiful and there is nothing like doing yoga in the health hub as the sun rises. We are on a trip with our local gym. The food was top quality, there were many choices and it was all delicious. The gym is well equipped and the poolside very relaxing after a workout. We booked transport to go and visit a cooking school in a private home and to another local beach. It was all very easy and ran smooth. The staff are all friendly and engaging but our favourite was Ari who has the coffee hub near reception. He is friendly, had some good conversation and he makes THE best coffee on site.

We’ve stayed at Komune Resort many times and can’t recommend it highly enough! The staff are absolutely amazing – always helpful, super friendly, and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The on-site restaurant serves fantastic food with a wide variety of delicious options to suit everyone. A local band plays a couple of nights a week, creating a great atmosphere. Agus, the manager, is a legend – he often joins in singing with the band, which makes the night even more fun and memorable! If you’re looking for a beautiful, relaxed holiday spot with great food, awesome vibes, and outstanding service, Komune is the place to be. Tony & Sara

I had THE BEST spa treatment at Komune today. I was blessed with Ayu, and she was so lovely! We had amazing conversations. She was so clean and precise with the pedicure and provided such a wonderful experience. It made me want to go back for the manicure straight away! Bringing all my family here!
