Kona is one of the best coffees we had in New York. The baristas were all very friendly and the service was quick. The coffee was so good we went there twice in one morning… definitely recommend their latte or cappuccino. Their location next to grand central makes it easy to grab a coffee and then head to wherever you’re going.

Reliable spot to sit down for a bit to enjoy a coffee and some baked goods. Really liked the Banana Walnut muffin. There are two floors, so a lot of seating choices. WiFi and power outlets are also available here.

Kona is my go to spot when I’m visiting midtown. Such a nice space and atmosphere. The baristas and staffs are friendly. I love their unique drink options and coffee here is just Top Tier! Also their pastries and food are delicious. If you're nearby, definitely give this spot a visit!

Perfect space upstairs to work. I had hawaian latte its amazing. I like lil sweet lattes and its perfect for me. 100% recommended. But the latte is $7 so you know the pricing for the location aswell. I also tried the rose cardamom latte its basically chai latte. Their WIFI is public. Most companies dont accept these public wifis so you need to have your own hotspot for connection for safety!!

Great coffee! Many seatings but also super busy its hard to find a place to sit. I tried their Hawaiian latte it was so good.

So glad I added Kona Coffee to my stop in the city this time as it delightfully exceeded expectations! I travel the world visiting cafès and trying coffee in every form. Here at Kona I tried the Hawaiian latte, the Rose cardamom and the Mocha. The menu has options you won’t see in other coffee spots, but they are within the art of coffee and not wild concoctions based on artificial flavor add-ins. The rose latte was perfectly balanced where the espresso played a subtle note to the drink. There was nothing over powering or syrupy about this latte. The Hawaiian was a stronger espresso flavor but perfectly sweetened. The baristas did not compromise drink quality or artistry for the sake of expediency, yet they were incredibly efficient and quick to get drink orders to customers during my morning visit. There is plenty of seating in this clean and delightful cafe. Definitely will return.

Surprisingly big for an NYC coffee spot. My barista was friendly with helpful suggestions. The coffee had a nice flavor, making me wonder if Hawaiian is my new favorite?

Decent coffee but not amazing. If you need a quick pick me up then this place is solid, but the coffee isn't anything too impressive.

Food/drinks: love their specialty drinks & their pastries! I've come often enough and have never been disappointed. Their signature Hawaiian latte & matcha latte are my favorites Atmosphere: Looovveee this cafe! I want to gate keep it haha - good for working with lots of seating, wifi, and outlets! There's 2 floors! Service: very fast!! Price: as expected!

I wasn't sure what was in the Hawaiian latte but I definitely tasted coconut syrup! My mom got the lavender latte and my dad got the 100% Kona drip. I like how there were two levels so you can sit upstairs.

They really offer standard American fare Very interesting coffee shop I stumbled on by mistake. I never knew they were Hawaiian, but I did think they were an Asian Coffee shop. They really offer standard American fare, including regular coffee and ham and cheese croissants, which I ordered. All in all a reasonable, but expensive experience.

Such a great coffee and matcha spot! I usually get my matcha here every morning and it's definitely one of the better places in the city - they put a good amount of matcha so it doesn't feel like you're drinking green milk. The matcha comes unsweetened which I appreciate because a lot of places add in sugar and you end up racking up so much added sugar. I tried the Hawaiian latte just to switch things up and it was delicious! Can't go wrong with anything you order here!

The Hawaiian iced latte hits everytime! I came here during the workday and there were quite a lot of people upstairs and downstairs.

I got a maple cream cold brew. I was so excited to get my hands on some Kona coffee without going to Hawaii and it did not disappoint. The place was a bit small but it wasn't packed. The service team was kind and easy to help with ordering.

Good coffee. Came here for a spot to sit for a few ... not the most pleasant folks but the coffee and space were good!

Service was quick and they have REAL mugs! Plenty of chairs and tables to set up and work for a bit.

This cafe is always buzzing. It's a great place to take out your laptop and get some work done or meet a friend for a coffee. The two times I've stopped in have always been because I showed up to my dentist's appointment wayyyy to early (you just never know what the trek from Jersey will look like!) and wanted to find a spot with strong wifi for awhile. Kona is honestly pretty perfect for exactly that. On my last visit, I stopped in around 4PM, ordered the prosciutto & arugula sandwich and a hot matcha latte and found the only empty table on the bottom level. (At this point I did not realize there was an upstairs filled with seating!) It was very loud, very busy, filled with people and tough to hear the orders as they shouted them out. This resulted in me running back and forth from one end of the cafe where my table was to the door where they placed finished orders. Only a little tedious, but after I got my order I was ready to sit and work. The prosciutto and arugula sandwich was actually pretty great and blew away all my expectations. I was a little weary about ordering a $17 sandwich from a coffee shop, but it came on delicious french bread, a very generous amount of prosciutto and even those little pickles. It was a delicious sandwich. My matcha latte was also a perfect pick me up treat at like $7. I was there for awhile so towards the end of the visit, I got a hot tumeric & ginger tea because I was veryyyy cold and needed a little something to warm up. Simple and delicious and always my go to! All and all, a great (but expensive) cafe! Lots of tables, full food and drink menu, strong wifi and a clean space.

Definitely get their Hawaiian Latte ! Its not too sweet and its just the right amount of coffee that wakes you up in the morning. Service was okay but drinks do come out fast. They accept cash and card. Plenty of seating for this location and really clean. Overall, would definitely come back again to get their other items.

Quick to order and get my coffee and pastries, enough tables and chairs to go around with chill music in the background but the Kona Coffee is why we came. Tastes like home Mahalo!

If you can get past the lack of customer service, the Hawaiian latte is AMAZING. We have only found 100% Kona in Hawaii. The Kona drip is full of flavor and took us right back to the island. I would order ahead next time so I don't have to interact with the rude staff!

Cute coffee shop with spacious seating and an amazing coconut matcha latte! The coconut matcha latte is creamy and has a strong coconut flavor, which feels so tropical and tastes delicious! The default milk is almond (and they charge $0.50 to change to any other milk including cow/whole). It came out to about $8.50 for my drink, pre-tax/tip, so it's def a splurge coffee for me! Drinks take a second to come out as well, but I also came on a busy Sunday afternoon. Seating is plentiful, especially on the second floor where there are huge tables- great for co-working or meeting large groups of friends. There is a restroom but you need a code.

Coffee tastes good, although the honey almond was a little too sweet for my liking. Service was fast. Ambiance is cozy, but it could get crowded.

Super cute place to get work done and lots of table space which I always look for. Can get pretty busy during peak hours so it can get pretty noisy but still a great place to get work done.

I love coming to Kona Coffee and this particular location is definately a favorite of mine. There is plenty of seating with upstairs and I can stop by on a peak weekend and still have a place for me to sit and enjoy a nice cup of coffee, with Wifi that is reliable (huge plus), a clean bathroom and a nice vibe. This is a goal many more coffee shops should strive for in my opinion. It is next to grand central and the NYC library is about 3 blocks down if you want a quieter place to study (Kona does play music on the speakers, but in my opinion the barista's have great music taste, not quite study music tho). There are a few power outlets too here and there if you need to charge your phone or something of the sort, but not too many. There are a wide range of coffee options. Now I am someone who loves an overly sweet latte (that tends to drown the taste of coffee). I know that not many people agree with said opinion, but for my needs, there are many beverages on this menu that do exactly that. The barista station can get kinda crowded with lots of crowd coming in and out (sometimes a few doggos!). Coffee is kinda overpriced, but that seems to be the case everywhere in NYC. Great place in midtown to sit down and study with good AC if you need a break from the summer sun. Will definately be back.

I went here with my work colleagues in search of good coffee and we were not disappointed! The modern cafe had a very clean and minimalist vibe. I ordered a large Kona drip and a prosciutto arugula sandwich. Service was excellent. I was offered a sample before purchase and my order was efficiently taken. The sandwich took a while as they were very busy during lunch but it was well worth the wait! The prosciutto was paired with fresh mozzarella. The bitterness of the abundant arugula was cut with the sweetness of the balsamic vinaigrette. My coffee and sandwich was highly satisfying!

I grabbed a Hawaiian latte and croissant here on the way to work. It has an organized line to grab and go as well as ample seating. The Hawaiian latte was a little sweet for me, but it's something different that I have never tried. I would come back again to try one of their pour overs!

I'm at Grand Central Station looking for any latte with lavender syrup so here I am at Kona based on Google map search. It's on the opposite side of where I was headed but I say, worth the extra block or two. Here for matcha latte with lavender syrup as too late for a large amount of caffeine that coffee has...only one size $6.95 very good flavor but needs another order of lavender syrup. Wish it was a larger size, and should have asked for extra hot. Looks great tho.

Oooh the specialty lattes sound so delish. I had an iced Hawaiian latte. It is made with hazelnut and coconut syrups. Thankfully the coconut was not over powering. They had a good assortment of pastries in the case. I had a fresh blueberry yogurt muffin. The muffin had a good texture and flavor.

Really simple coffee shop. Full of people. Great location by Grand Central Station through Perishing Plaza. I ordered the Hawaiian Latte which has macadamia syrup. It was yummy and sweet. I also ordered their cheese bread which was just a giant Brazilian cheese bread. The outside was rock hard but the inside was okay... I wished they offered to warm it up. The service was okay.

I've been to the Kona Coffee Roasters in the East Village several times and I was so elated to stumble upon their other location in Midtown as I was waiting for my train near the Grand Central Station! We were at Kona right when they opened so I can't attest for how crowded it gets but the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We ordered a classic iced latte with oat milk and it was tasty. I've tried their speciality lattes before but they were always too sweet as they use syrups in them. They have wifi, a decent amount of tables, and everything was kept very clean. They also have a bathroom so I think Kona would be a great place to get some work done if you're looking for a coffee shop that has it all. I'll certainly be back if I'm in the area!

Delicious matcha- for a steep price. Being back in the US I have paid extravagent prices of 13-16 for a matcha latte. It's a damn good coconut matcha latte. Vibe is great lots of travelers or passerby's chilling and they have some cute coworking space in the back. Good efficient service too.

I come here nearly every time I go to the dentist. At midday, there's generally still seating room available and it's a bit more quiet/less bustling than the larger chain coffee shops. My go-tos are the Hawaiian latte and the Honey Almond latte. Service is very fast. They also have small bites and they sell bags of coffee beans. Hawaii may be nearly five thousand miles away from New York, but Kona Coffee Roasters makes it feel just a tiny bit closer.

This is a fairly solid coffee shop with some unique offerings that set it apart from Starbucks, etc. I find the layout of this location to be a bit awkward and the atmosphere to be kind of generic and underwhelming, but as many other reviewers have mentioned, the Hawaiian latte is very good (either hot or iced), and very original. I more recently tried a seasonal cardamom rose latte. The menu was sort of vague, and I assumed it was an espresso latte, but no, it's tea. Still had nice flavor but didn't have the oomph I was looking for. (Might be good in a "dirty" version!) Will stick with the tried and true Hawaiian latte next time.

Nice coffee shop with great selection of pastries, coffee beverages and more. We had nice breakfast and tried quite a few things , everything was tasty, friendly service and nice atmosphere.

The coffee was pretty good. Nice tables and good place to talk or get some work done. Unsurprisingly they serve Kona coffee from Hawaii but only if you select the more expensive option (sounds like the normal one is from Columbia). I didn't try the food options but they looked good. Service was a bit weird, I asked what the difference between the drip and the 100% Kona coffee was and they sort of shrugged and said that one was Kona. After asking they explained the other was "just Columbian". I asked for the difference and got another shrug that it's just a matter of personal preference and one is Kona. Most people would have explained, like, the whole point of this coffee shop. They weren't exactly rude just apathetic I guess. Coffee was decent though (I got the Kona).

I can't speak on the ambiance as it was door dashed nor the service beyond the person who brought it handled with care and was fast! The coffee is 10/10 and we had a croissant with ham and cheese and you can tell they're made fresh I know there are MANY of this type of locations and competition but this one has my soul I love the Hawaiian there's no competing maybe I'm bias and wasn't over sweet now I'm half way across the country missing it! The packaging and presentation was still 5 star my kids agreed it was tasty!

Bless cafes with plentiful seating and free wifi. Kona Coffee is super spacious with 2 levels, and has a big assortment of unique Hawaiian style drinks! I loved my Hawaii Latte which is macadamia and coconut flavored! The drinks and food are a bit pricey, but for the work space it's worth it :)

Ambiance: Two floors of seating, spacious and comfortable. Amenities: Ample power outlets and free fast WiFi. Beverage Variety: Wide selection of coffee options. Personal Experience: Tried their American coffee, a solid standard choice and their cardamom Tea Latte was exceptionally flavorful.

LPT: if you visit this location, make sure you push HARD on the door. For some reason anything force less that hard makes it feel like the door is locked in place. But doors aside, this place gets a 5 stars for the Hawaiian latte. Its so creamy and coconutty and not over the top sweet. I was so surprised by how much I loved it. They do have traditional coffee shop fare as well and the place is spacious enough for an airy study sesh. But with a place giving you the taste of the Big Island, why not go all out and choose something unique?

My friend and I were in the area and were excited to find such a cute and clean cafe in the city. We loved the atmosphere and in addition to the first floor, they had a nice upstairs seating area with several people on their laptops. If I lived nearby, I would love to come here to read or write. I ordered the Ceremonial Matcha ($5.50), which was a matcha latte, with the matcha powder whisked in a bowl. It took a bit of time, but it was nice to see the staff actually preparing it with a matcha whisk. Note: It is not as sweet as the matcha lattes at Starbucks or other cafes where they use a lot of sugar.

My go-to place to study with plenty of seating options upstairs including long tables (great for groups) near outlets and smaller, individual tables. The noise level can vary depending on the music or if a loud group sits nearby, but overall, the atmosphere is great for getting work done. The Hawaiian latte is my absolute favorite as it is rich and flavorful, but not overly sweet! Highly recommend this spot for both productivity and a great coffee break.

This Kona Coffee Roasters is located right across from Grand Central Terminal on Park Avenue. It's a nice clean space accented by Palm Leaves through out and simply furnished for a Cafe. It's much more inviting than most coffee places where the feeling of crowds and the pressure to rush out is ever present. Kona Coffee Roasters does not feel that way. It's a great space to sit and do your remote work. Upon entering, there were plenty of patrons downstairs with their laptops open going about their business while enjoying their purchases from the counter. I'm a Bold Dark Roast Coffee kind of drinker so ordering the medium roast drip was a mistake for me. I went back to the counter and purchased a shot of the fresh ground Dark Kona espresso. I added that to my drip coffee and all became right in my world . My Tomato, Mozzarella, and Arugula sandwich was made fresh. I also got the Lemon Matcha Loaf. It's delicious but I found it too heavy for my lunch. I'm looking forward to having it later with a cup of Iced Earl Grey Tea. (Edited to add: This LOAF ended up being too sweet for me. I got an instant headache. But that really just a ME kind of thing). The restroom is all gender with aesthetic Hawaiiana Appliqué (see photos). But then I opened the door and, um, well...Maybe there was a shift change so no one has come to check them for cleanliness? There is a really cool interactive mirror in there where you can control the lighting (which happened to be very dim when I entered). I turned it to bright and it did not help matters concerning my initial observation. Someone once told me if the restrooms aren't kept well, then what must their kitchen look like? Minus 1 star. I came here because it was listed on my inKind App where I have credit. I was disappointed because the app did not work when I tried paying for my items so I had to use other means of payment. The manager told me in advance that the App hasn't been working lately. This frustrated me and she let me try anyway. Yup...didn't work. The whole point of coming here was to use the inKind App Credit. I think the staff could be friendlier. They are accommodating, but, the 'Aloha' vibe/spirit just wasn't there. Minus 1 star. I, admittedly, can be one of those customers that asks too many annoying questions and be a little much when what I expect doesn't happen (looking at you #inKind App). The manager was patient and handled my situations with solutions, like, crediting back my purchase for re-purchase so I can get my Kona Coffee Bean points. I really appreciated that very much. But, hey, a friendly smile or demeanor can really make a huge difference. I'm a bit disturbed that another yelper observed the general aloofness of employees there. Still, I'd come here again to get my delicious Hawaiian 100% Kona Dark Roast. I know better to order that straight espresso shot now.

great big space that seems wonderful as an oasis away from the heat; whether it's to catchup with friends, get some work done, or just relaxing by yourself. maybe it was a fluke, but i experience that the drinks at the east village location are better. i ordered an coconut matcha with lavender syrup and was notified that the standard milk with this drink is almond milk. the drink itself wasn't good--it tasted watered down and the lavender overpowered all senses of the coconut flavor. i was surprised because this order was suggested as popular when i originally was considered ordering for delivery. maybe it's the fact that it was with almond and i usually order with oat. the staff seemed a little confused when i asked for the lavender addition and asked me if i wanted a lavender latte instead. perhaps there was some confusion there? regardless the space is two storied and peaceful. the location is in a busy part of midtown with a lot of sketchy people around so just be prepared to walk through some construction zones and peddlers all around. if i was by grand central i'd consider just ordering the classic hawaiian latte--can't imagine that one being inconsistent.

I got the lavender latte with oat milk and asked them to do decaf, which I really appreciate them being able to do! It was DELICIOUS!!! I also had the prosciutto and arugula sandwich which was also sooooo good! The cashier was nice and helpful, which I appreciated. The vibe is really nice too - good space to meet up with some friends or do some work. It's chill, relaxing, and has nice music. I'll def be back!

Quick service, nice place, big inside, tasty coffee. I got black drip coffee and my wife got lavender coffee. Her coffee looks pretty! Also tastes great!

Quick service, clean minimalist interiors. A wide variety of lattes you can choose from. I got the cardamom rose latte but it was a little underwhelming in terms of flavor. Ample seating with two levels of seating. There's one bathroom that was dimly lit but clean. Quiet atmosphere.

Great coffee and freshly made breakfast sandwiches. Loved the extra seating upstairs, especially in such a prime location near Grand Central. Even though it gets busy, the wait is never long. I've visited Kona and the coffee farms there and have really learned to appreciate the uniqueness of Kona coffee. It's all small farms, given the lack of land and size of the area prime for coffee. Great to be able to support Hawaii from New York!

I had the iced Americano, it's ok, nothing special. Pictured also is the cold brew with milk added, no opinion bc I did not taste it. Bathroom on first floor, more seating upstairs. Filtered water dispenser for bottles, self serve. Spacious with plenty of seats.

Got there around 10am and cafe was fairly empty. Nice modern specialty cafe that of course, got Kona as one of their offerings. Lots of daylight which fills the cafe up nicely so I can definitely see myself sitting there if I needed to get some work done. Tried a few of the espresso drinks and glad to say it's solid, and definitely a good spot to get milk espresso drinks if that's your jam. Staff there a bit apathetic overall.

Cute and popular place. It gets very busy during rush hour. Cardamom rose latte 4/5 Hawaiian latte 2/5 - maybe I'm just not a fan of the blend since I know it is a crowd favorite Sausage egg & cheese 5/5 Matcha pound cake 3/5 - dry

The coffee is superb, the staff ok and pastries better than average. I would definitely go here again, but just for the coffee. I had a corridor that was made correctly, though in a disposable cup.

This Park Ave coffee shop makes great coffees consistently. It's only 1-2 blocks from Grand Central, so this place gets a lot of commuter traffic -- in addition to locals who enjoy this place during non-commuter hours + weekends. The 1st floor gets good amount of light, creating a bright ambiance, and has a nice view of the Park Ave street. There is a decent number of seating spanning to the back of this place -- plus, more seating upstairs. I've been in here multiple times and enjoyed their vegan pumpkin pound cake, brown sugar scone, cardamom rose latte... And, of course, their coffee has been reliably good. Also, they have a self-serve oat milk container near the ordering area, which I highly appreciate since I can control the oat milk amount on the days when I do Americano instead of lattes. Friendly cheerful staff. Highly recommend this coffee place.

Always a great coffee. They also bake their pastries on-site and have one of, if not the best, chocolate chip cookie in the city.

didnt tell me they would charge 50 cents for LESS ICE, and the guest WiFi doesn't connect so you can't even do work on zoom meetings. Overall, lavender latte was ok.
