Konjiki Ramen (Downtown)

Very tasty ramen and appetisers. We ordered original shoyu & Spicy. The spicy ramen is not very spicy but very flavourful with burnt garlic chilly oil. The broth is creamy and tasty. Noodles are thin hand made! We also orders mini chashu and Deep Fried King Mushrooms both were delicious. Service is excellent and staff is friendly. They have vegetarian options available. They have option to substitute the Pork chashu with Chicken but the broth is pork or seafood based. We ordered regular size and it’s perfect for a meal. You can also order super size if you want.

Konjiki Ramen is another famous ramen shop from Tokyo that has opened its overseas branch in downtown Toronto. Conveniently located on Elm Street, Konjiki attracts a large number of customers even at odd hours. Ordered the downtown special lobster ramen which is only available at this shop; however the quality is somewhat disappointing as the lobster soup is quite weak and can barely be felt when slurping the noodles. On a positive note, the ramen contains 2 large chunks of lobster meat which makes the price seem more justifiable Maybe should have chosen the signature Shio clam ramen instead…

Got a chance to try this ramen place. Friendly staff, and the food was really good. I had a bowl of Smokey Black Tonkotsu Ramen and a side of truffle gyoza. The gyoza’s didn’t come in time so they didn’t charge me for them! I appreciated that! I will be back for sure!

Best Japanese tempura I ever had in Toronto! The server is extremely polite with serving us everything we needed. Food price is also reasonable. Everything is so perfect

Visited on a Sunday night and ordered ramen and tendon. Both were decent. The space is quite small and the tables are close together, so seating can feel cramped. Cleanliness could be better; the tables and floor felt kind of greasy.

(Visited on Wednesday, Oct 8/25 for lunch around 1:15PM) Before anyone comes at me for 4 stars - it is just because the flavour profile did not do it for me. I'm not saying the food is bad. You may love a place and that's great too 🙂 Haven't had Konjiki Ramen in a while and as a self proclaimed ramen connoisseur I had to retry this place. Got the Shoyu Tonkotsu - according to online menu. I dunno what it was... if it was the noodles or the broth... something just didn't taste right for me. Maybe because I'm used to thick egg noodles. Honestly didn't enjoy. That being said. Service was quick. No complaints there. I have been here before for the tempura bowls which I do quite enjoy. Honestly not a bad place for a bite. Just not my fave.

Konjiki Ramen never disappoints! I tried their Angus Ramen, and it was absolutely incredible — the broth was rich and flavorful, perfectly balanced with tender slices of Angus beef that just melted in my mouth. The noodles had just the right texture, and every bite felt carefully crafted. The presentation was beautiful, and the portion was generous without feeling heavy. If you’re looking for premium ramen with top-quality ingredients, Konjiki Ramen’s Angus Ramen is a must-try! Also, much appreciated to the staff that ran out to me to return my forgotten glasses.

The ramen here is seriously good! The broth is rich and flavorful without being too heavy, the noodles are super springy, and all the toppings taste really fresh. The staff are friendly. Totally recommend this place if you’re into ramen! Can not wait to come next time.

First time so I got the Signature Clam Broth Ramen - mild shio - clam, chicken, pork clear soup base, sous-vide pork Chashu, porchini paste, white truffle oil, arugula, red onion, basil, pea shoot stems, braised bamboo shoot, leek, pancetta. The broth is light but packed with clam flavor and elevated with the listed components. Noodles had good texture. Egg was cooked custardy short of runny. Parts of sous vide pork were either tender or dry. Service was good. Decent amount of seating for small groups.

Second time trying this chain out - different location this time. First time I went to another location more than 5 years ago. Vancouver doesn't have a clam based both ramen joint and was quite excited to have some again. Service was good, waited not too long to get a table for 5 people. We ordered the signature soup and the deep fried mushroom appie. The DF mushroom appie was disappointed. Tasted like old oil and the mushroom were sliced so thinly that it didn't have any mushroom flavour or texture. The ramen and soup were tasty - until the next day. It gave us both tummy aches! It could have been the appy, or the ramen. Not sure but I don't think I will be visiting this particular location anytime soon.

Michelin recommended ramen spot. I really enjoyed this spot. The ramen was good and the server was exceptionally nice. The kitchen has made extra or something like that, regardless he gave me a free appy on the house. Probably wasn't a big deal for him but it really made my experience extra special.

I wanted to try as this is Michelin recommended. The service was excellent and attentive. I got the intense shoyu ramen and the unagi temaki. The noodle is freshly made and chewy, just the right texture. The ramen itself was average. I was expecting a lot more for being Michelin recommended. It was very strong shoyu flavored, but no layered flavors. The temaki is also underwhelming as the flavor did not show well with the sauce overwhelms the overall flavor. I did see a lot of people getting tempura and the portion is quite large.

Ramen was at the same price as previous few years. However it was a bit too buttery/oily. They forgot our Tempura dish and we had to chase them down. Tempura shrimp was hot, fresh and crispy, but I think they gave wrong type of source to dip in. Service was good initially when they often check on us if water needed to be replenished. But as the night goes on, they stopped doing that and you had to ask them to refill water.

Food was good. We enjoyed the ramen and tempura. However, this is probably the worst service I've received in a Japanese restaurant. The dine in space is a long rectangular space. We sat at the far end. The food came slow. The only chance you see your server is when they bring your food or when they bring food to the table next to you. If you forget to ask for something when they show up, you probably have to wait another 30 minutes to see them. They never check on you. This is a ramen place but prepare to spend 2 hours dining

I came here for lunch on a holiday and waited about half hour for a seat. We tried the signature clam intense shoyu ramen and the Asakusa tendon bowl. We really enjoyed the ramen which had a nice complex but well rounded broth. the porcini sauce and black truffle sauce didn't over power the dish which was lovely. The Asakusa tendon bowl was less impressive. it comes with 2 prawns, 3 seafood (salmon, Herring roe and eel) and 3 vegetables. The tempura was rather unremarkable, it wasn't particularly light, and the default serving of it with sauce drizzled over didn't have any standout flavours so I recommend asking for more sauce. I didn't find the dish quite hot enough and rice was slightly overcooked. The piece of eel was also small, not at all like the larger pieces of tempura eel you'd find at tempura restaurants in Vancouver. They also served this way before the rest of the ramen orders arrived so I wish they had the foresight to time things accordingly so our table could eat their dishes together at once. Overall, tempura bowl is only 3* but the ramen is good and service is friendly. The space is a bit cramped and the location is not wheelchair accessible.

One of my favourite ramen spots in Toronto to go especially for the chilly cold weather lately. I went on a weekday night and it was pretty busy so I recommend calling ahead to add yourself on a waitlist. Intense Clam Shoyu Ramen: It was my first time having clam ramen since I usually like to have Tonkotsu ramen and decided to give it a try based on other reviews I have seen. I really liked how light it tasted as it wasn't too overwhelming in flavour. If you aren't big on creamy ramen broths, I highly recommend the shoyu broth. It's a bit on the pricey side but the quality was worth it.

The food has gotten slightly more refined- tamago and miso soup in picture. They also keep refilling my water.

This has become one of my favorite ramen spots when visiting the 6ix. Authentic ramen with a rich broth, fresh noodles and premium ingredients. My friends and I stopped by to sample a lil bit of everything. We shared the wagyu shoyu, shoyu black and spicy red ramen. We also ordered some curry, Katsu don and some shrimp tempura. We all agreed the wagyu shoyu was our favorite. The bowl was packed with plenty of meat. Everything from beef bone, brisket and high quality beef meat. The black truffle sauce added some nice flavor as well. The curry is also a must order. You get a nice thick curry with a big piece of katsu. We really enjoyed our meal here. Food is really fresh and price wise definitely reasonable right in down town. They have plenty of seating for small and large parties. Theres a lot vegetarian options as well. So glad my friends from the area recommended this spot. Despite the hot summer heat this Konjiki was so worth it.

If you don't have an allergy to clam, you should try this CLAM SHIO RAMEN asap. Easily the best ramen broth I had in Toronto and I understand why they said this combination of clam, chicken and pork broth was "FULL BODIED" just like full bodied wine! Their noodles game was strong as well. Both ramen & cold udon noodles very bouncy and cooked well! Only thing I did not care much was their tempura, I had better ones before. But again this clam broth!!!!

Got the Original Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen Supersize for $21. The pork is thin style. Pros: - Noodles are cooked well. - Broth is not oily and well seasoned. A nice creamy broth. Broth is not as heavy as typical ramens. - Tempura is OK. Mushroom, Yam, Pumpkin are good but broccoli was not that great. Cons: - Service is quite bad. Long wait for the actual food and to pay for the bill. - Supersize bowl isn't actually that big. Not sure if it's worth the extra money. - Toppings are minimal (doesn't even come with an egg). - In my opinion, there's nothing too special about the ramen and tempura. It's just average. Note: I've been here before and feel like the first time I went here was much better than when I went in 2023.

My friends and I had just left a wine tasting and we were hungry! Somebody suggested Konjiki Ramen and it sounded like a great idea so off we went! Their Elm St. location is in what appears to be an old house. Charming. The dining room is small but fairly open, with a partially open concept kitchen at the back. Everything on the menu looked good but we all eventually settled on our own favourites. I had the Smokey Black Tonkotsu Ramen and it was hot, and rich in flavour, perfect for a cool day. Others had the Spicy Red Tonkotsu Ramen and Clam Shio Ramen. Everything looked good. From the silence, it must have been good! Our server was great, even taking some time to chat with us. For good food and good service, this is a place to visit!

Tried Konjiki Ramen's Downtown location for the first time, I know they are super popular in Japan - so I was really looking forward. We tried the original shoyu tonkotsu ramen, gyoza, and the takoyaki between two people - which honestly got us satisfied. The broth was tasty and creamy, but I don't think it lives up to the 1 Michelin star. There was also very little protein. The gyoza and takoyaki were good apps! Service was good, and the spot tends to get busy.

A friend brought me here for lunch, as she was craving the lobster ramen and I wanted to try the wagyu. This is the only Konjiki location that has the lobster, and both it and the wagyu are limited quantity. The location was busy but we were still seated right away. We had to flag down one of the wait staff to order, but once we did it only took about 10 minutes for the food to come out. The wagyu ramen is very good, with a good portion of beef. Honestly, my favorite part was the broth (chicken and beef), it was SO flavorful and great on a cold, rainy day. We also got the karaage chicken and it was just okay in my opinion. Nothing special, but the dipping sauce was good. This is a solid ramen spot and I really enjoyed my meal here!

This quaint ramen restaurant was jam-packed when I arrived, but being a South Florida resident, I needed some warm soup on a cold Toronto night. Since I love spicy food, I opted for a bowl of spicy red tonkatsu ramen with an egg. This was comfort in a bowl (a big bowl at that!). The egg yolk was perfectly runny and dripped from my spoon throughout the soup. Although I don't usually expect the spic level to match my expectations, it was just right. The broth had a lot of depth and flavor, the handmade noodles were chewy and filling, and the pork was tender and juicy. This bowl of ramen was exactly what I needed to warm me up from the inside.

I have to say that though the Ramen is really good and I recommend it, it doesn't live up to the 1 Michelin Star they claim to have (or at least their Japanese location has). Also I have had better Ramen in Toronto, but having said that it's definitely tarty. I had Spicy Miso Ramen and asked for mild but coughed for 5 minutes in the first taste after eating some red pepper. My friend's Shoyu Ramen was better

Thoroughly disappointed after visiting on three different occasions. Their famous clam broth, to me was like, mildly seasoned hot water with colouring. Didn't taste one bit of clam. The noodles were not what I would have expect from a world class restaurant with multiple locations all over the GTA and the world. Perhaps it's the difficulty of maintaining quality control or finding the right chef. May be I should try their other locations, but from my recollection, it wasn't mind blowing, otherwise I'd be a repeat patron.

The wheel of lunch landed on ramen at the office so ramen it was! We ordered from Konjiki and had it Doordashed to us. Everything was in thick plastic containers and wrapped up plastic bags within a larger bag to prevent any spills from happening, which was good, there were a lot of work laptops abound. They have options for vegetarians, those of you who like spice, and the bougie ramen fan - there's a wagyu ramen! I went with their Original Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen. The soup base is really good - tons of flavour! I could see it being critiqued as too salty by others as I was pretty thirsty afterwards but so full from the ramen that I couldn't drink water. What a problem to have! I generally liked the toppings that were included. I've noticed some places around Toronto don't include bamboo shoots which I always thought was kind of standard. One sort of nitpicky thing was the chashu. I really love when it's a thicker pork belly cut. These looked like cold cuts which I was a little worried about but luckily they didn't really feel as thin texture wise. They weren't tough or anything but I wouldn't describe them as tender. It was almost like thinly sliced chicken breast. There was a lot of it at least. Still a solid bowl of ramen that I'd order again. They do have some treats on this menu including a tea flavoured brownies like matcha and uji. There also seemed to be combos where you could get an iced coffee (or a rose iced coffee) with a brownie but not an iced coffee by itself which a lot of us were hoping for.

Deliciously rich ramen with perfect ramen noodles. We went on a Thursday night and waited about 15min for a table. Tried several different ramens and the tempura and karaage as apps. The broth is so rich, creamy, and delicious. There's definitely more than pork in the broth base - seafood, mushrooms? Layers of flavor. The tamago was cooked perfectly and opened up to a semi-gooey center. The karaage was thinly battered and fried well (eat while hot!) The tempura was good - seafood tasted fresh, batter thin/light, but having the sauce poured on before coming to the table does dampen the crispiness factor - would have preferred on the side. Would definitely recommend!

I had the Beef Gyu-Udon and it was the worst "Japanese" food I've had to date. It was completely flavourless, no mirin, no soy sauce, no salt, nothing. Even the colour looked as if you just boiled all the beef and tossed everything together. The egg was not even remotely edible, it seems they just cracked a raw egg and hoped the steam would cook it. The beef was the frozen beef rolls you can buy at any Asian grocery for cheap. There are so many better Japanese spots in the area and the city. Avoid

I think the food here is amazing for the price point. They let you know how long it will take. I'd rather wait for good food than to receive rushed, sub par food. Waiting for food to be done properly is an authentic Japanese experience. I keep coming back her for their consistency and am thankful that this is a value they will not compromise.

Found this small ramen place from Google Map. It showed lots of good reviews, so we went and give it a try. It's actually not bad at all! I personally like the deep fried mushroom and deep fried oysters the most. Lack of staff tho, only the owner and his wife( I' m guessing) were serving the front during lunch time. It might took much longer than u thought to have dishes brought to your table.

The last time I was here was pre pandemic and I remembered leaving here super happy and satisfied. Fast forward things haven't been as consistent and I'm disappointed, felt like I left dissatisfied. Staff shortage and inflation has definitely made the once enjoyable experiences a now treasured memory. Although I'm glad the pandemic hasn't shrink the amount of stores but I definitely prefer the north york one. We went around dinner which was busy, the wait was approx 20-30 mins but no info is taken down so you gotta stick around or risk having your table being taken by those who wait there. The waiting area by the entrance is small with only a few seats in the tiny hall way and the front. Upstairs was closed so downstairs was the only option. It was my sister's first experience and I was looking forward to eating here as I raved about it quite often. We got the orginal pork shoyu and the intense version of the signature clam. The orginal tastes just like I remember it but the intense signature clam wasn't as intense as they claim it to be. I didn't find a difference between the signature clam. I was a little disappointed, we got the karrage to start and I remember it as being juicy, tender, crispy but the first initial bite tasted kinda like KFC. A bit greasy, not as tender and crispy as I recall but the wasabi mayo was delicious as usual. Unfortunately I guess it was just bad timing as there were only two servers. I felt like there was no actual "service" I had to ask for water unlike back then as soon as you were seated water was brought to the table regardless if you were to order extra drinks. When the karrage arrived we didn't have any cutlery, I tried to ask but our server but I guess he didn't hear and quickly left to service other tables. I wasn't gonna eat with my hands so waiting to flag someone down was difficult. When we finally did, one of them quickly apologized which was fine, by then I was pretty hangry. Getting the bill was even harder, we sat close to the entrance but aside from never coming once to do a quality test, flagging someone down was hard. When we did I was pretty much over this place and just wanted to quickly get out. There was no engagement whatsoever, felt like tipping was unnecessary but oh well times are tough and I get it.

It is almost the worst restaurant I have ever tried! There is only one cook and very few waiters, But they got too much online orders. My friends and I have spent more than 40 minutes waiting for our dish. it's unacceptable!!! You should at least remind me of it. Anyways, the tastes are good, Suitable for those who have plenty of Free time to waste!

This place is delicious and delightful! I got the Smoky Black and it's creamy and deliciously delightful!

I had family coming from out of town, and they wanted ramen. I was hoping to find a place that would impress them and could accommodate a party of about 10 of us. I called in advance to make reservations, and they told me I had to be punctual or risk losing the table, and I agreed and completely understood. I was on time, and when I got there, no one greeted us. 15 minutes past my reservation timeslot, someone came to the front. I asked about my reservation, and they told me I would have to wait about 10 minutes. They kept telling me 10 minutes. An hour later, we finally get seated. I think they forgot my reservation. I am not thrilled because I had brought my family, and they had kids, and by the time we got our food, it was an hour and a half past my reservation time. This place is smaller, I knew that from the photos, but I would have appreciated it if they could accommodate when I called to make my reservation, to tell me they can't. And we waited an hour. What was the point of having a reservation at this point? The restaurant isn't all bad. The wait staff didn't forget anything and were kind while serving. Any time we asked or needed something, we got it in a timely manner. The ramen was decent, noodles had great texture, and broth was not overly oily and clean. But I did find that toppings were minimal, and you had to add stuff in at cost whereas other places it usually includes (e.g. egg). I think this is a place is nice, but it won't be making it on my recommended list, unfortunately.

This place has one o the good ramen in the city. the flavours were different from what I usually order but it was super delicious. the staff were super nice and helpful. the place is clean. Definitely, a must try

Location/Service This restaurant is along Elm Street, which is a few steps away from Eaton Centre - easily accessible by TTC. Street parking is available and there is Green P nearby. This place is a little tough to spot because there's no big sign, but if you look closely by the entrances, you will see the sign and its second restaurant, Akimitsu. The ramen is on the upper level - but the waiting service will be on the main floor. The restaurant itself is small, can probably fit around 15-20 people at once - so be conscious of waiting times. Pretty standard decor (modern and stylish) - their utensils seem to be on a higher quality, which was nice. Staff were nice, friendly and orders came pretty quick. Food Tried their signature clam broth ramen - which is different compared to other ramen places. It's not as oily like the usually pork bone based ones. The clam flavor is strong (may not be everyone's preference) and it gives off a nice fresh, clean taste. I got it with the mild shio based, you can try it with the intense shoyu base as well, which I think may be a little bit more on the saltier side. The noodles itself were great - chewy and firm. The sous-vide chashu was not dry or hard to chew on. I'm not a huge fan of sous-vide, so in my personal opinion I think it's okay. All the other complimentary toppings like bamboo shoots and leeks matched well with the overall ramen presentation and taste. Note - there is no egg, but you can add it as an option. Overall this place is pretty consistent and similar to their original North York location - definitely swing by if you are in the area for a meal!

Rich clam-tasting soup base, lighter than other meat-based options around town. I usually ask for my soup extra hot just cuz I find the clam soup base doesn't hold heat well, probably because it's not as greasy

Terrible service, avoid. I ordered a Ramen to go and not only did the staff took ages (more than 10 minutes) to greet me at the door and take my order. They then told me that orders take ~30 mins. to come out. I just left. Mogouyan takes literally 5 mins. to do the same.

Maybe it's because I've been hearing about this place and its Michelin star for so long, but I'm slightly disappointed by the actual ramen. In my opinion, there just wasn't anything really special about it. While I could taste hints of the famous clam broth, I certainly wouldn't consider it "intense" by any means. The noodles were very mediocre, just the standard thin ones you could find at a random Japanese restaurant (or possibly even homemade...). Toppings were scarce - however, the pork chashu was quite tender and delicate, and the tamago add-on was delectable as well. Overall, though, it was just a rather uninspired bowl. This location is still in its soft opening phase, but happily the experience was quite smooth from ordering to food arrival to paying - the waitress at the door was quick to inform us that it is currently cash only, which we appreciated. Once again though, there was nothing exceptional about the service, which was dry and professional. No one checked up on us, offered water refills, or asked for feedback about the food. Oh right, at one point during the meal I did smell something burning from the open kitchen. At first I thought I was hallucinating, until my dining companion also looked in that direction with a weird look on his face...

I've been to the one in North York, and got the mild shio the last time I was there. This time, coming here, I decided to try the (ever so) slightly richer shoyu! On Tuesdays, they offer the wagyu special, but we opted not to order it. My boyfriend got the original shoyu tonkotsu ramen. The place was quite empty, and so we were served quite fast. We also ordered the chicken karaage + Asahi beer special - the beer arrived first, while the karaage came during our meal. The karaage was quite disappointing; I would've preferred it to be slightly crispier and leaner, but it had quite a bit of loose breading with lots of chicken fat. My shoyu ramen was nice and light, though you couldn't taste the clam broth at all. Instead, the porcini mushroom and chicken flavour overpowered. It was a fairly small bowl of noodles, and a nice contrast to the much richer tonkotsu ramen. The tonkotsu ramen was super creamy; each strand of noodle was generously coated with a thick and glossy sheen of pork fat and oil. While the ramen was good, it was a little too one-dimensional in taste for me... moreover, I found the broth to lack compared to other places (ahem Ichiran ahem). It seemed a bit artificially milky, and wasn't as comforting or homely as I typically like. I remember when there was so much hype around Konjiki - however, with all the new ramen options popping up around town, it no longer seems to be that good. I'll probably try the other options (e.g., Hakata Ramen, etc.) before coming back again!

Got the black tonkosu ramen which is the original with roasted garlic. I liked how the soup was intense and flavourful! The meat was quite thin and I would recommend reheating it with the soup before eating. I liked how the noodles were chewy and delicious and that all the toppings were great!

Having tried the lobster ramen in North York, I was excited to see the downtown location opening up! The clam broth was amazing! We were worried it would be overpowering but it was actually quite subtle. The tonkotsu was rich and very flavourful. As another Yelper mentioned, the noodles were reminiscent of soba. The mini tendon (tempura on rice) was such a nice accompaniment. Solid pieces of veg (okra, king mushroom, and lotus root) and seafood (shrimp, salmon, and squid). I'm definitely looking forward to the tendon restaurant so I can get a larger portion of tempura on rice with that yummy sauce!

Average ramen restaurant. I got the wagyu ramen, which I wouldnt suggest getting. just taste like a normal ramen for double the price. service is good, servers were all super nice.

I thought I give this place a try because of all the good reviews I've heard from friends and people online! I took that opportunity when one close to me opened up. The broth was definitely very rich and creamy unlike any other places, but I did find it to be abit on the salty side. The price was also expensive so I don't know if it'll be a place I will frequently visit but I definitely don't mind coming back!

Amazing ramen with obvious attention to detail and quality. I had the tonkotsu ramen which was everything I could wish for in a creamy deep umami flavor broth, chewy noodles and great chashu. The only minus would be that the ramen is on the smaller side, but you are definitely getting quality for a reasonable price ($14 for tonkotsu). It was a dinner for me, but it would not be enough for patrons with larger appetites. Also, they have a fully vegetarian ramen option!! So I can finally have ramen with my vegetarian friends that have been left behind so far. They make the broth out of avocado, milk, cream and a vegetable soup base. Very interesting and worth a try!!

Fall in love with lotus root tempura! Item(s) ordered: Dual Beef Donburi Price/: $15.00 CAD Rating: 6/10 This classic japanese beef rice bowl is nothing to call home about. While the rice was well cooked and had a pleasant flavour, the small portion of beef was on the dry-side. What did blow my mind was the tempura. I was given the prawn, broccoli, red bell pepper, and lotus root tempura. Each was well fried and not too greasy. My favourite was the lotus root and left me wishing I ordered extras. Overall, I wasn't impressed by the beef rice bowl but I'm interested in going back to try one of their udon dishes and order more of the lotus root tempura. As expected, due to the location the restaurant was busy during the lunch rush but quickly died down. We were seated by the cash register so it was a little awkward to have them poke their head around to ask us questions but aside from that the servers were friendly and attentive.

Waaay Overrated nothing special about it!!!! Also very pricey compared to other Ramen place in Toronto. Ordered the Chicken Karaage for appetizer and just okay, had better elsewhere. For the Ramen, we tried the Signature Clam Broth ramen (Intense) and we didn't really like the broth same as their Tonkotso Ramen. Broth is just plain bland, nothing that will blow your mind! And whenever I eat ramen, I normally dive into the Chasu first, but Konjiki's Chasu is just blah and unappetizing. Talk about fatty Chasu which I hate in a ramen. Note to self, don't ever get excited in restaurants awarded 'Michelin Bib Gourmand'.

Clam broth isn't for everyone. I will have to say I'm not a fan of it either so I always go for their other ramen, which hit the spot. My only peeve is that it does cost around $20 after tax and tip for ramen so it's quite an expensive meal. I remember when you can get it for $15 back in the day :(

I really like the downtown special because of the wagyu. The broth is very rich and super filling. It's something you would only treat yourself though because it's on the pricey side. Unfortunately, the special is often sold it. Besides that, I've typically gotten the black tonkatsu which I enjoy. I like the broth a lot but I feel the charshu could be larger and thicker sliced. The downtown store is combined with the tempura store so this place has tempura options as well if people aren't in the mood for ramen.

Konjiki is a multi-awarded ramen chain in Japan so I was super excited when it came to Toronto. It definitely did not disappoint. We had the Wagyu Ramen and Signature Clam Ramen. For both orders, the broth is super rich and perfect to warm your soul. The meat was cooked to perfection. We recommend having the perfectly cooked egg as an add on and ordering the fried mushroom as a side dish. All items in the menu were so reasonably priced as well.

I've been to the Yonge location and was pleasantly surprised to see a downtown one while on my walks. It terms of spacing in the restaurant, it's pretty adequate though smaller than its main one and the washroom is in the basement. For food, I forgot about how limited ramen specials are. We went on a Saturday and the ones we wanted to try were one available on select days of the week. The ones are available are the basic vegetable or shio ramen. We opted to get the tempura menu. Zero regrets were made. The poached egg was battered perfectly in tempura. Worth the extra $1.50. The vegetables and shrimp were moist and had a delicious texture that was undeniably fresh. Not bathed in oil like most places are. Will definitely come again.

Noticed that this place serves beef ramen which is quite rare as most places are chicken or pork. Never had a chance to give it a try since it was usually only being served on days that were inconvenient for me. Finally as date would have it things worked out and here I am. Loved all the variety of cuts of beef that was included which kept every bite interesting but different in flavour from one bite to the next. Also opted for the fried king mushroom and this was definitely a great addition. If you like chips you'll love the fried mushrooms!

My team came here to celebrate our CNY lunch! Walking in around 1PM it was busy but we managed to snag a table for 4 right away. The menu is small but still diverse enough to satisfy our dietary restrictions and cravings, especially with their additional new curry dishes! AMBIANCE: 4/5 The space is small but decorated in a homey manner (not as nice as uptown). You would have to wait outside if there is a line up (unless you want to be crammed) - so avoid rush hour! The booths were comfortable and had enough space between each of them so you aren't sharing personal space with your neighbours. FOOD: 3/5 1. Vegetarian Ramen: This ramen was really yummy. The noodles were al-dente and had a nice chew. The broth was creamy and the lemon (which I just left in the bowl) gave it a refreshing taste. However, I didn't feel very full after consuming the bowl :( and they don't let you add one extra noodles 2. Chicken Karaage: I feel like although it was yummy, the portion size was lacking. The one at Gyu-Don on Dundas is SO satisfying. The total for 4 people with each of us ordering our own plate and sharing an appetizer it came to approximately $80.

Got the Wagyu ramen. Ordered off Doordash which took about 35 to 40 mins for a pick up. Food was ready on time and I was able to make it back to my office to eat with the broth still warm. The ramen itself was tender with a good portion. The broth was very well seasoned and flavourful. The brisket was decent but not the best Iav had. The wagyu/angus beef slices was served in a great amount and lightly seared. Was perfectly medium rare after you pour the hot broth in the bowl. They really thought of for takeout. Smell and tasted very fresh, quality is spot on. The smell of the onions, leeks, and black truffle sauce was strong which made the experience that much better Definitely return for a dine-in when everything opens back up. Possibly return for the regular ramen too for take out.

Heard about their signature clam broth and made my friends stop by here when we were in the area! I arrived around 9 PM with two other friends and there was no wait so we were seated fairly quickly. There are two levels - the first floor is Akimitsu, tempura-based restaurant and upstairs is Konijiki! We ordered both the mild and intense signature clam broth ramen. I ordered the intense shoyu for myself, I was expecting it to be a bit salty because of the dark broth but it was just perfect! The broth was rich in flavour and there was a perfect amount of everything that you tasted every ingredient in every single sip. The pork slices were very thin but so tender. It was delicious! I even got to try my friend's mild shoyu and despite it being a lighter option, it was still very flavourful and the clam taste was still just as strong as my intense shoyu. I added some chilli powder to mine to give it a bit of a spicy kick and it was even more perfect. We also ordered the gyoza and the chicken karaage for appetizers. These arrived about 10 mins after our ramen (we were notified by our server already!). The karaage was so crispy yet tender on the inside, lemon juice on top and dipped in the mayo - the most amazing combo. Our gyoza was pretty standard compared to other ramen restaurants, though the sauce provided here had more of a herbal and ginger taste to it. I prefer this sauce over the others! Service was pleasant, it was quick and we were checked up on a couple of times but it was still pretty hard to flag down a server when we needed something though. I also think it would be better if Konijiki provided some condiments on our table like the chilli powder... we had to ask them for it! Also note that we originally wanted hot sauce, but they charge $1 for it which isn't a lot but my friend was already almost done his bowl already (couldn't get their attention earlier to ask) and that is kinda lame to charge :( The final verdict is, we all enjoyed our food! My friends were glad I bugged them to come give Konijiki a try. Despite their menu being just a tad limited, I can't wait to come back to try other items.
