They always have really good sushi, fresh and yummy. Everything always delicious. We tried a lot of them in this location and I loved they make everything fast and fresh. You don’t have to wait long time always where we go in this place. They are so fast and friendly. We love to eat in this location. Also everything is fresh and yummy. That’s why you have to try this place.

The service was excellent and the Beef Bulgogi Bowl was amazing! Super delicious! The price was fantastic too! Everything was clean, positive and a very nice atmosphere to eat, good jazz music in the background with a perfect volume! People are laughing and happy! ❤️😊🎉 Love this place!

Great day date with my husband! This was our first time trying this restaurant as we celebrated his birthday! Great service, delicious food and a great atmosphere! The food come out quickly and the presentation of each dish was amazing! Definitely will be returning! If you love sushi, you'll love this restaurant!

Had high hopes with all the reviews being relatively good. From the start, after we ordered it notified us that it would be ready in 10 minutes. I didn’t believe that to begin with, but when we arrived I waited for about another 20-25 minutes. Just for the bag to be sitting to the side (for I don’t know how long…) The workers seemed flustered and unorganized but it wasn’t even too busy. I don’t mind waiting, but it got to be a pretty long wait for a carry out order for two. Then, they missed an item and the only option was to go back or get a credit for next time. (Which probably won’t be happening, so I went back.) The food wasn’t even that good. My sister said her sushi was okay, but the hibachi I got was not that great. I honestly think I’ve made better hibachi. Very little meat and veggies, especially compared to rice. With the total being around $60 and tipping, I don’t believe it’s worth it. I would take business elsewhere next time! I hate being the person to make these reviews, but I want others to be aware with the quality compared to cost and service.

Konnichiwa is consistently wonderful, flavorful food with consistent pricing. I have visited multiple times since they opened and only noted improvement until perfection. For the food... the pictures are not this beautiful because of my photography skill, phone, or editing skills. The food is that beautiful all by itself. A certain level of pride is taken here, and it shows. Not only is everything fresh, cooked well, and presented well, but it is also very pleasing to the palate. Service here is bar none some of the best I have come across and I have dined in many restaurants. This one has Michelin-star restaurant quality service, and they are very polite. There is a male and female waiter working during lunch to dinner hours that are probably two of the best in customer service I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The other people here are just as incredible and polite as well. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, no matter what time of year. It feels like you're visiting a close friend or relative for dinner instead of a restaurant of strangers. Oddly, I don't feel like they get enough business. They certainly should be crowded from open to close. This is hands down my favorite restaurant in the area. Red Bowl, who? We had a tofu bowl with noodles and spring rolls today.

Best sushi I've had since moving to Columbia. Great quality & fresh. Huge selection. One should probably do a little research on the rolls before cause there's a LOT of them 👍👍

This place was phenomenal! My co-worker and I went there for lunch and we had the Sushi Special for 2. Being in the Midlands I’m always iffy about eating sushi when it close to the water but the quality of sushi that they have is super good and super fresh! It’s like butter and melts in your mouth. The service was very attentive and everyone was really nice. Reasonably priced and good drinks too. Would definitely recommend.

I've visited another Konnichiwa location before, but this Lexington, South Carolina location is still a win for me. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly, and the service throughout the meal was attentive without being overbearing. The food absolutely delivered. The Red Lobster Roll and the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice are at the top of my list--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Everything came out in a timely manner and tasted just as good as it looked. Overall, great atmosphere, excellent service, and consistently delicious food. I'll definitely be back!

First time here and it was so good! Our waiter helped us choose three rolls and all were delicious and fresh. My favorite was the Lake Murray roll. The service was also great, can't wait to go back!

Food was delicious...we both had bowls and shared an order of sushi. Sushi was pricey, however the portions were huge and it fed us both the next night. Our server was wonderful, giving us plenty of time to make our decisions. We'll definitely go back!

This service here is what stands out the most- in my opinion it was better than some of the fine dining experiences I have had. When you walk in the door you're promptly greeted with smiling faces. The servers are so welcoming and seem so genuine. We had Cindy(not sure about spelling) as our server lunch and she was delightful. I asked for some wasabi and she brought me a huge portion of it- so generous and helpful. The food came out quick and it the quality was up to my standards. This bento box was $14 I believe and I definitely could get two meals out of it. At the end of our meal she even brought us Togo waters and extra yum yum sauce Togo- truly so thoughtful! The final aspect that sent this service over the edge was another employee held the door for us as we left. They truly went above and beyond and I can't recommend this place enough for a quick, affordable lunch with superior service.

The food is amazing with generous portions. Chicken and steak are fresh. I have not tried the shrimp. The sushi is phenomenal. They have a wide variety of sushi options for you to decide what kind of sushi you like or not. The service is great. The ambience is what you expect from a Japanese restaurant with a nod to Japanese heritage. I have been here several times and have not been disappointed yet.

Konnichiwa came in clutch as I was craving sushi but it was too late for lunch and too early for dinner. The wait staff was super friendly and attentive. This is a great spot for sushi on the go or for you to sit down and try something. Both of the rolls I had were flavorful! The aesthetic leaves a bit to be desired but isn't bad. Only reason I didn't give this a five star review was due to their limited nigiri options. Overall super solid and I would visit again.

Service is very attentive. This is my favorite sushi in SC. They have so many rolls, it's fun to try something new every time. Road king/comfy roll, lake Murray and tropical roll are a few of our favorites.

Loved it! Went for lunch and it was quiet and relaxing. Service was amazing. Atmosphere is dark, kinda small, but inviting. I got edamame and the Reidville roll which is deep fried and so delicious!! Their tea had a nice tea flavor (I know, that sounds silly, but some tea tastes like sweet water.) Everything came quickly. Only downside is the parking lot is the worst. Excited to go back!!

Went to this restaurant in search of good sushi and Hibachi. We arrived on a Wednesday. We were seated immediately. Sushi was really good. My husband got some roll with craw fish and I got the twist and shout. My husband ordered a bento box which he said was really good. I got one of the filet bowls and we decided to split. Some SEA scallops. Waiter informed us it would be the "big ones cut up!" We in fact received bay scallops. So $15 we get bay scallops. Bowl was $20 and I did not receive filet. I got a bunch of different pieces of steak cut up. I would not return here for general Hibachi seeing my bill was $85 and I got bay scallops and pieces of other steaks cut up and called filet mignon. Sushi was good. Place appeared semi clean floors were fairly dirty but the building smelled fishy. We did feel a little rushed to order. Oh the vegetable tempura was very good. Pretty tasteless food for a lot of money. Sushi was worth it but that the Hibachi.

Delicious fried sushi rolls! Has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants. The only downside is that this location is small and the tables in some sections are a bit crowded/cramped.

Come hungry because the portions are large! Bento boxes have a great variety of options. Hibachi bowls are also very large, and the shrimp are clean and large sized. Great for lunch or dinner and you really could share one plate with someone else and both leave full.

Expensive for what I got, long wait time to get in, bad parking situation. Sushi was OK, and not worth it. I would rather go to Antai or Ganbei in Lexington or Camon downtown. Service was OK, and it was extremely loud like a high school cafeteria. I went by myself and couldn't imagine trying to enjoy a meal there with a friend or on a date. J.Ja

If you like sushi, this is the place. So many choices. The service was excellent, friendly, and faster than I expected. Alcohol choices are limited to beer and wine only, but with lots of saki choices.

We have been coming here since they first opened and have had enjoyable experiences. Today, it was very busy (Friday night, so expected), we were seated in the very back corner. We waited 10 min for sweet teas and to order. We received appetizers fairly quickly and my shrimp bowl shortly after. My husband waited an extra 15 min for his sushi rolls to arrive. I was done eating and had to wait on him. My bang bang shrimp did not have much sauce on it, but other than that the food was decent. We never got refills on our teas & our food was $70.....

This place is solid! I had the Hibachi salmon and it didn't disappoint. Delicious food and excellent customer service! I will be back!

Decent place and clean inside. Food is typically good and consistent when we dine in. The service can be very slow during peak rush hours making it hard to get a drink refill or any condiments you need.

Reviews are misleading. This place isn't special at all. Apps are all fried & not fresh. They use imitation Krab. The sushi is meh. And that's not because I lived in Japan for six years. The ramen was fake as hell & tasteless. Gyoza was from the pack fresh outta the freezer. So called Krab Rangoon frozen too. One star for service. The prices are ridiculous for freezer fried food. Do better.

This restaurant is situated on Sunset Blvd in Lexington, SC and conveniently in a small plaza. This location is very easy to navigate to with the use of a GPS device or Google maps. There is no issues with parking and their parking accommodates small and large vehicles. This restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. Upon arrival we was quickly greeted and seated by a friendly staff member. The restaurant staff were wearing face mask and encouraged social distancing between customers. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious Japanese mouthwatering starters and main courses that will appeal to everyone. My spouse and I truly enjoyed everything we ordered. Our waiter was very courtesy and professional when we arrived. Everything we ate was fresh and delicious. The chefs use the best quality ingredients to produce dishes that are simply delightful. The restaurant also offers an limited drink menu, and their prices were very reasonable. We felt that our dining experience was excellent and we've already returned for multiple visits.

Not somewhere I would return to. Our entire party was unimpressed particularly with the sushi menu. Virtually all of it was fried or had cream cheese in it. I will say the presentation was beautiful. I had a salmon bowl that was mostly rice. The vegetables were sooo overcooked they were mush and my salmon was as dry as could be. So overcooked it should be a crime. Service was inattentive. There was nothing special about the atmosphere and it was loud in there. Very overpriced for the quality.

So happy we decided to do lunch here! This restaurant is located in Lexington. Customer service was top tier!!! Our server was very informative and even helped us select our meal! Everything was AMAZING! Everything was plated beautifully! I mean 5 star restaurant plating!!! The sparkling saki was so refreshing! The side of noodles were so flavorful full of sesame and teriyaki flavors! The salmon and avocado on fried seaweed was one of the best appetizers I've ever had! The sushi was fresh and delicious! The tempura plantain was so amazing and was a spectacular dessert!

Ate here on a Friday evening and was seated after a brief 5 minute wait. The ambience is good and our order was taken within 10 minutes. We ordered an appetizer and two meals, Ramen and sushi. The ramen came out first, within 10 minutes. My wife's meal, the sushi roll, took over 30 minutes to come out and it was after I had finished eating. Providing two people their dinners over 20 minutes apart is not the experience either of us were looking for. My wife watched me eat for 20 minutes then I watched her eat. The ramen was decent, although they could improve on the quality of noodles used. The sushi was good, although for $15 roll, it was extremely small. On another note, the parking here is terrible. We circled the lot for about ten minutes and had to wait for someone to leave for a spot. I'm giving two stars instead of 1 for the quality of food only. Will not return.

This is a cute little place with lots of options. The staff are super friendly and the food came out quickly. The jumbo bang bang shrimp was nothing to write home about, the flavor was good but the jumbo part of the shrimp was missing. The steak bowl was great! Cooked just how I asked it and was a ton of food for $15.00. Overall really good, a little oily but very tasty!

I love this place every now and then they give my family a chocolate covered plantain.the service is great and they get your food out super quick and give you appetizers in the meantime

Absolutely LOVE coming to Konnichiwa over in Lexington because it is by far the best sushi I've had near me! Their staff is so kind and they have such a relaxed atmosphere, it makes for a great casual night out or even a nice date not on the weekend! I have to rave about their sushi because it is always beautifully assorted and laid out in the most unique ways. Presentation is always a 10/10 with flavor knocking it out of the park! Each location has unique rolls and I can't wait to try out other locations, but Konnichiwa Lexington is easily my new go-to. Even their takeout is phenomenal!

Great food , wonderful service, I've been back several times and never been let down by the food or the service. All around nice place to have supper at.

I was hungry and read some good reviews about this place so I decided to check them out. I was not disappointed. I had a polite, soft spoken waiter. He checked on me throughout my meal and even poured my sake for me. I ended up ordering 3 things: 2 pieces of Mackerel ( which was wonderful with its garnish. ), Their Eilish roll (very tasty), and lastly I tried their chicken and steak hibachi bowls. It was very tasty. I ended up taking leftovers home.

My new favorite sushi spot. The Lake Murray roll was on point. The service was so friendly and timely. Ambience was evening casual, not super chic, but nice enough that you can wear either jeans or a little black dress and not look out of place.

I got the angry crawfish roll and spring rolls. The roll was amazing! The spring rolls could have been a little crispier. My friend got the Mr. Krab Roll, egg rolls and fried rice. She said the rice lacked flavor and had too much egg. I had a piece of her roll and it was good. Service was good and the staff was attentive, but gave you space.

This place was light up and we were hungry. Normally I am very hesitant of trying place that most of the time have wheat and peanut oil. We shared our concern from the start and they were so very helpful and letting us know that they can accommodate that. The food was so good and warm, we had left over for the next night as well. There are many options even for kids that might be not be so much into trying different foods. We never had to wait for anything and they have a great quick way to pay for the meal.

Food is always amazing and very hot (or cold if it's supposed to be). You get a lot of food for a very good price. Staff is very friendly and service is very fast and thorough. I cannot recommend this place enough. Best value for sushi/bowls in Lexington by far. I would give more stars if possible.

I tried yall, I really did! My husband picked this place, and we were really hungry by the time we got there. Our server was THE SWEETEST, KINDEST SOUL (and is the ONLY reason why this place doesnt have only one star: shout out to Yogi!) but there was nothing he could do to make that food pallette-able. The sonomono salad didn't have seaweed in it, or the flavors it was supposed to have, so I sent it back. Our sushi came- and when I picked up one of the pieces of toro nigiri- it felt super heavy. Under further investigation I realized that the rice was super compact (like Thai sticky rice), it was HARD, and it taste super sweet. Had to send it all back. Yogi tried to suggest something else, but my taste buds were already saddened- so I declined & left hungry.

I cannot think of one thing that this place didn't do perfectly. The staff is so incredibly warm and friendly right when you walk in. We also have a toddler, so any business that is accommodating to our child get bonus points. Our food came out SO fast and everything was so good. Also- the portions are VERY generous. I got the Scallop bento box, my husband got a chicken bowl and wings. He enjoyed everything but made sure to say "if you review this place make sure you tell them the wings get 5 stars". We will definitely be back. They also offer free delivery through door dash.

Okay, I gave the one in Chapin 4 stars, but this one gets five. Great food, great service. Even though I do not go there often, the manager (owner?) always remembers me and what I drink. That's impressive. Have been going here for years and was disappointed in myself that I've never written a review for them. They are located in a small mall, where there are several other restaurants, so parking can get a bit hairy.

the service was amazing. they were polite and were always giving refills when needed. the bento box is very good and i recommend getting the noodles instead of the rice. the sushi is amazing and the gyoza is good but i would rather have it steamed instead of fried. the chicken in the bento box was cooked perfectly. the paintings are a nice touch and the atmosphere is great.

2/13 7:45pm The hubby and I stopped at Konnichiwa for some sushi. They were very busy, but the moment we walked in the door, the manager acknowledged us. Not only that, but he took a minute to thank us for returning and were given very special service. The waitress told us that they had fresh uni (sea urchin). She gave us some good recommendations so we tried them. Our favorite was the one pictured with the avocado below. It's called 'Lake Murray'. It was amazing. I didn't get a pic of the Uni, but it was buttery and rich tasting. So, do delicious. If you haven't had a chance to check out Konnichiwa of Lexington, we highly recommend that you get on it!!
