Konoba Rustica

Visited this restaurant 5 years ago and I remembered it for its perfect food and extremely professional staff. Now we came as a young domestic couple and we weren't given even half as much attention as the tourist couple at the table near us (we were the only 2 occupied tables at that time). Staff was uninterested, unfriendly and we felt like our presence bothered them. The food remained perfect, but the new young staff is very unprofessional and it completely ruined our experience.

The restaurant is on the road to the town of Umag. Parking for customers is on the side of the restaurant. Balkan dishes or pizza are quite inexpensive and tasty. However, fish or seafood have an unexpected and high price. For example, octopus for 70 euros. We had lunch and noticed that many customers eat pizza, it seems to be popular. Clean toilets, waiters speak English and the impression is not bad. The restaurant is typically oriented towards seasonal tourists, consists of two terraces.

Wonderful local food and very pleasant staff. ❤️ High quality meat and perfect home made pasta (different kinds). Local oive oil with warm bun, freshly prepared every 10 minutes.

This place is deservedly popular not only with tourists but also with locals. Here you will find excellent Istrian cuisine, great service and friendly staff. Despite the rather high prices I’d recommend.

Great service, lovely food! Multilingual staff so no confusion as we are British tourists and don't know much Croatian. Space for parking outside. We have been once without a reservation but went back on a Sunday and they were fully booked so make sure to book on a weekend. We have also been back today and service and food was just as good as the first time.

Cute restaurant with excellent, friendly staff. Large menu with pizza, seafood, and emphasis on grilled meats. We split salad, roasted potatoes with panceta, and pizza, and everything was fresh and tasty. Indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly. Free parking.

This was one of the best meals I had in Istria for a long. Even more if I consider the price/value ratio. They serve 70 days aged steaks which are charcoal grilled. Definitely to be on the table. Further on the risotto with seafood and pasta with truffles are mandatory. For the sweets just go with proposal from the house. Wine was great even when we selected the house wine. On the end it was only 35 EUR per person which was really reasonable. Highly recommended!

Fancy looking place woth delicious food. They have delicious steaks. Steak lovers will certainly enjoy the view of the refrigerator with prepared meat. If you order a steak, you will be given a choice of several pieces of meat. I recommend to do a reservation.
