Nice and welcoming staff and atmosphere, food is very well prepared and you really get your money’s worth there. Fresh and seasonal offerings, pasta with truffles is a must. The wine selection is also very good and tailored to the menu/s

The best konoba in the area. We went there for the second time in a week and it is just amazing. The food is so good,homemade,fresh and super tasty. Homemade gnocchi,pljukanci, fuzi..I mean,c'mon :) so tasty. Venison, boskarin, sooo gooood. House wine is also really good. The staff is super polite,professional,kind and friendly. Inside, there's a fireplace so in the winter it must give a really nice ambience. Can't wait to visit then. Whole restaurant is clean and tidy and we just enjoy going there. Everything is like it's supposed to be. From tasty food to kind staff. And they accept credit cards so that's convenient. Thank you for a pleasant experience. Absolutely delicious! Incredible meat and the truffle pasta - I never had such delicious truffle pasta before! High class service, very friendly especially with children.

5 Stars – A Hidden Gem with Exceptional Charm We had a wonderful experience at Konoba Vela Vrata. The setting is intimate and homely, with only five tables, yet it felt lively and full of charm. The service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Even as English speakers, we had no trouble navigating the menu and choosing some fantastic dishes. The Truffle Pasta was a standout—absolutely delicious and highly recommended. A perfect spot for a cozy, memorable meal. We’ll definitely be back!

Outstanding! We had the black truffle gnocchi and the venison ragú - you simply MUST come here if in the Pazin area. Highly recommend!

Really great food! In the middle of the Istrian peninsula, this restaurant offers authentic Istrian meals. You can have some of the best pasta and njoki (gnocchi) made just like in the old days. There are also steaks and various meat on the menu. The chocolate cake with truffle and olive oil is a must try! The wine list is comprised mostly of Istrian wines, and some imported ones. The service is excellent and very fast.

Definitely coming back! The meat is top-notch, pasta delicious, and the chocolate cake=pure bliss. Cozy spot, great food, and warm vibes. Aaaand the staff… ladies are super kind, quick, and giving good recommendations.
