Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for quality food that’s both delicious and thoughtfully prepared! I had the mushroom risotto and it was absolutely delightful—creamy, perfectly cooked rice with a rich earthy flavor that wasn’t overpowering. The balance of seasoning was spot on, making every bite comforting and satisfying.

Came here on a Monday evening before a public holiday. A very relaxing place to have a meal with the wood fire going. The best thing (and what prompted this review) was the curry special: Sri Lankan Black Pork. The curry was a standout, with a perfect amount of heat and spices. It was so refreshing to have a good pub curry with visible bits of curry leaf, cinnamon and the charcoal coconut. Many, many compliments to the chef.

We chose this restaurant purely because it was nearby after a day at the beach — unfortunately, that was the only positive. We ordered the calamari and chips, and the food was very average at best, definitely not worth noting. The service, however, was genuinely unpleasant. While we were still eating (with chips clearly left on the plate), a staff member came over asking to clear the table. We told them we weren’t finished. About ten seconds later, another staff member came over and asked the exact same thing. It felt incredibly pushy, as if they were trying to rush us out. When we pointed out again that we were still eating, the response was a quick “sorry,” but there was absolutely no sincerity behind it. No real apology, no acknowledgment — just indifference. The entire interaction made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, and completely ruined what should have been a relaxed meal by the beach. With mediocre food and rushed, careless service, this place is not somewhere I’d recommend. Won’t be returning.

Disappointing, ordered the seafood Brodetto, $149, it arrived with Morton Bay bugs instead of a whole cray tail, 2 of the scallops were smaller than a 10 cent piece, the rockling was barely 3 mouthfulls, the mussel shells contained bits of mussel not whole mussels and no seaweed butter. The sauce, tomatoes and prawns were excellent. Also somehow got charged $25 for a pot of Great Northern. The view is amazing but that's it. I phoned to complain the next day and was brushed off. If you have run out of the ingredients be professional enough to tell the patron so they can choose something else. Don't try to cobble the meal from leftovers to get the $149 Witnessed by our 2 friends who live in Sorrento. I offered for the 4 of us to come in and discuss the meal but was only offered a round of drinks. I didn't send it back as our hosts chose the venue and I didn't want to embarrass them, also didn't realise what was missing until I re read the menu. Mentioned it to the manager as we left. He seemed surprised Table 23, Friday 6th of Feb lunch sitting.

1 Star – and that’s being generous Hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we sat down, the service was appalling. Waiters were openly talking badly about us within earshot, laughing and making comments instead of doing their jobs. It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and honestly shocking. The food somehow managed to be even worse. My chicken burger was burnt to a crisp — completely blackened on the outside and bone-dry on the inside. I’m not exaggerating when I say it was inedible. The chips were just as bad: pale, undercooked, and soggy, like they’d been waved near a fryer and called done. No apology, no accountability, no attempt to fix anything — just attitude and indifference. If you enjoy paying good money to be disrespected and served food that belongs in the bin, this is the place for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favour and eat literally anywhere else.

Terrible service, the bar server couldn't have be less helpful. Didn't bother to let us know one of the most popular beers on tap wasn't available until we'd ordered it. Charged $14.50 for a 250ml can of non alcoholic Naked Life cocktail (4 pack costs $12.50 from Coles) what a joke!!

Would not recommend. As others have said, service is appalling. My husband got the chicken parm and it was average. I have coeliac disease and the things I could have on the menu weren’t available or had issues with cross contamination. They weren’t helpful with finding alternate options so I had to eat elsewhere. All the staff seem miserable. It’s a shame because the view is lovely.

We visited here to celebrate our birthdays together & both ordered salads. Both of them were quite pathetic, mine had hardly any chicken or vegetables & was mostly (80%) raw large hunks of kale ( which l generally love) when l mentioned this to the man who collected my plate he just shrugged his shoulders. A $39 dud of a meal!
