I’ve been visiting Kooroomba for many occasions over the years. The drive to the venue reminds you why it’s part of the Scenic Rim, with spectacular views from the restaurant. From events and birthday lunches to today’s visit, which was our wedding anniversary, every experience has been memorable. We shared a glass of bubbles overlooking the Great Dividing Range, easily the best seat in the restaurant, followed by the Beef Cheeks and Curried Duck. Dessert was the Crème Brûlée (which my wife still insists is the best she’s ever had) and the famous Lavender Ice Cream, their signature dish. I’ve taken visitors from all over the world for that ice cream, and it’s never disappointed. Pricing is very reasonable considering the fine dining experience and the quality of the meals. I’m a fan and already looking forward to my next visit.

Not only is the Chapel a singuarly unique place to get married, but the scale and vast expanse of the lavender farm and vineyards provides an incredible backdrop to photos and for guests to explore. We had no fears if the rains descended as there is ample under covered space, and we were blessed with the most incredible sunset which just lit up everything and everyone so beautiful. All food and drinks provided were simply superb. I distinctly remember as the Bride, having a moment of blissful calm as I enjoyed my Lavender Duck main, watching everyone else as they enjoyed theirs. I am recommending to all my friends as I would love to attend a wedding here as a GUEST! The new on-site accommodation as well is very well appointed, with a lot of space and the honeymoon suite comes with a lovely spa bath. We also worked well with Fassifern Coaches to arrange transport for our guests staying in the surrounding areas and they knew exactly what we would be after, so never fear for the more remote location.

Google
What an absolute gem! The Lavender farm at Mount Alfred is simply perfect. The property is pristine, with jaw-dropping mountain scenery at every turn. The four of us had lunch at the restaurant, and it was genuinely one of the best meals we've ever had – truly 5-star quality and beyond. The day flowed perfectly with a fantastic commentary wine tasting and a serene walk through the beautiful lavender. An outstanding experience we can't wait to repeat. We will be back!

Google
Amazing restaurant under a gorgeous setting. The chef produces perfection and delivered and nurtured by our waiter (Guy) in our food and beverage choices. A truly professional restaurant and venue - I understand why it takes 3-4 weeks to make a reservation for lunch. My only wish would be to book in for dinner in the future.

Google
Great outdoor area, well setup to enjoy the view & while away time enjoying good company, food, drink & fresh air. The picnic hampers were plentiful & delicious. Dont think we could finish everything. Loved that I could bring along my pup too. Worth a visit whether you enjoy the outdoors picnic option or the restaurant.

The Mog Champ sends his regards. We were in a nearby camp-site and stopped here for lunch. It's a beautiful looking vineyard especially during sunny weather. We all ordered the butterflied chicken which was delicious. The chicken was slightly expensive especially for the portions provided, so would definitely recommend anyone to purchase it with shared sides as well. Had a nice walk after eating as well, thanks for the lunch Kooroomba! Mogliest Regards, Your Mog Champ

Environment - It is scenic and the lavender is nice, but I feel many places could offer the same. If u find the angle, can get some nice photos, but if you are driving 2 hours and expecting a“spectacular and breathtaking view” then you might be disappointed. The restaurant - food - no complain on food, but also nothing so special - pretty standard kind of quality you would expect. The restaurant - service - quite so so… the young lady performed a very standard Ai-like customer service. No willingness to have any thoughts when requested for simple help.

Google
The visit to Kooroomba Vineyards and Lavender Farm exceeded my expectations. We dined in the restaurant at a window table overlooking the lavender which was in bloom. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Wine tasting is complimentary if you dine in the restaurant. Wines were very good and we bought a few bottles to take home. There is also the option of dining outside overlooking the lavender with a casual menu ordered at the bar, dogs are even welcome outside. Well worth a visit!

Yelp
very nice, had a tour around in a day bus trip with a social club and was a nice 2 course meal for lunch. very friendly. They have a small gift shop and eating area and large gardens and a cute little outdoor unroofed and un-walled wedding chapel. Its very pretty.

Yelp
Brilliant ambiance for a special wedding. Very scenic location with gorgeous lavender plantation around a beautiful chapel. Very friendly staff. Food was good but some simple improvements could easily raise the rating (serve hot not cold, and season it!). While the facilities are awesome for a private function, they were too fast in closing the bar (even though the host paid to 9:30pm) and the single toilet restrooms had constant lines. Not ideal for a wedding in that regard. But overall was a great experience, despite these set backs.

Yelp
Love this place, scones and lavender tea very worth it and reasonable as they make onsite. Berry jam was home made and Devine. Lovely setting for a Devonshire tea

Yelp
If you're like me, then a trip to Kooroomba Vineyard is as much about the journey as the final destination. I always love to hop in the car and drive through the heart of the scenic rim with a good podcast blasting. So for me, an hour car ride past cute little cows and unique landscapes isn't a bother, and being able to have a nice meal at the other end is a bonus. This particular instance, we had a lazy Saturday morning drive and made it to Kooroomba just as they were finishing their opening preparations. Their main building is beautiful wood and stone with a hint of rustic when you glance upward and note the thatched ceiling. Out the windows, you look over the lavender bushes and vineyard with the mountains of the scenic rim in the distance. Take a deep breath, and you might detect a hint of calming lavender in the air. It truly is a relaxing spot. Before we were lulled back to sleep, we had coffees brought to our table. illy. Strong. Delicious. Our brunch dishes were nice, and they change their menu seasonally. We weren't in a hurry and had second coffee. I will have to go back for devonshire tea one day, as the people at the table near ours looked like they were thoroughly enjoying theirs.

Yelp
Like all other reviews, the drive thru the country side is just wonderful. Kooroomba was recommended to us by friends so my wife and I decided to give it ago. We arrived about 12.30pm, had a look around the farm and shop than entered the restaurant area. No one to greet us. Had to walk around near kitchen to find waitress. I think it is now owned by Asian gentlemen as two were at the front desk going over paperwork. One approached us and said wait until waitress is free. We stood waiting 10 mins. We liked a table in the sun near the window. Do you have a booking, no. Wait out on the couch. By the way there was only one other party in the room. So we waited, what for I don't know. Another couple can in, waitress asked, do you have a booking, yes so were shown to a table in the sun. Final came to us and said you can have this table at the entrance and in the shade. There were at least six other tables free in the sun. We sat waited 15 mins and got up and left. Wouldn't you

Yelp
I really love the autumn menu. The lamb shank warmed my soul! They are a bit pricey but you can't beat the view so it makes up for it. You can enjoy a relaxing lunch while gazing at the lavender fields, vineyards, and mountains ! There are often kangaroos hopping around the vineyard. Great photo opportunity ! During the week it's quiet we had the whole place to ourselves.

Yelp
Not sure what to base my review on - my last experience here or the many other times I have eaten here before. Maybe I will do both ... We have been coming to Kooroomba for many years now. We love the drive out here and it is very relaxing and peaceful once you get here. Food was always consistently good and the wine selection, while not extensive, only featured wines from the vineyard. The lavender farm is stunning and you cannot beat the view here. The owner (Bob) can come off as very stand offish. Now my last experience here was a real downer. We came out here for Mothers Day and as it was my first one as a mum, I wanted to go somewhere where I could take y baby. We had a booking for 1pm. We arrived on time and we were shown to our table after 10 minutes. While we were waiting to be seated, we overheard a few people complaining about the food and service. At first we thought nothing of it because they were completely booked. Anyway, we were seated at 1.10pm and were given our menus at 1.30pm. Someone finally came and took our drink and food order at 2.00pm. It then took them 40 minutes to bring our drinks out and by this time we were absolutely starving. We asked them how long our entrees will come out and they said 'soon'. Our entrees came out at 2.50pm! I had the scallops which were cold and rubbery. My husband had the tea smoked chicken which was barely visible on the plate. Our mains came out 3.50pm and was very disappointing. I ordered the lamb shanks which was rubbery, dry and cold. Husband had the duck which was so overcooked it was almost inedible. Dessert (delivered at 4.30pm) was the lavender ice cream which was so melted I had to ask for a soup spoon because that is what it had turned into. Husband had the Crepe Suzette which was awful - they did not have the Grand Mariner sauce added in! The restaurant was completely understaffed and the staff that were on were overwhelmed and disorganised. I actually felt a bit sorry for the wait staff because every single table around us complained about the bad food, shocking service and some even left the restaurant saying that they had waited over two hours for food and drinks and got nothing. The owner did not seem to really care and refused to speak to any of the diners who had complaints. Would I come here again? Mmmmm .... don't know. Maybe if I knew there would not be many people dining I would consider it but at this point in time, I highly doubt it.

Yelp
Service was extremely slow and they have no idea about customer service and some staff were downright rude. The owner focused on blaming his staff and had a 'poor me' attitude. The food while tasty was overpriced and the servings small. The whole experience left us with a bad taste in our mouths which was a real pity as we were anticipating a special outing. The only good thing was the view.
