Kopitiam Lah

For quite a while I kept trying to get a booking via District and bookings for Friday and weekends were never available. Last Friday before going to the Comedy Club at Indiranagar, decided to check and see if we could grab an early dinner. Turned out their dinner service only starts at 7 so we decided to grab some Kopi and baked items. Quite different and excellent. Decided to try our luck for dinner just then and they confirmed the booking. Finally dinner. Ayam Goreng Berempah is so so good. I have never had fried chicken which was this good. Tofu Bao was a random choice and turned out to be very yummy. Nasi Lemak with Buff Rendang was delicious but my favourite among all would be Ayam Goreng. Next time I am just ordering Nasi Lemak with Ayam goreng. Definitely recommend the place.

Had an incredible feast at Kopitam Lah! We tried a huge variety of dishes—nasi goreng, chicken flat noodles, chicken spring rolls, and curry puffs—and everything was delicious. The fried chicken was a total standout; absolutely amazing crunch and flavor. We also loved the dimsum selection, specifically the garlic prawn and the crab prawn dimsum. Whatever you do, save room for dessert! The Tiramisu and the Kaya Toast Bread Pudding were both fantastic and the perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for high-quality flavors and a great variety.

Wonderful experience eating at Kopitiam Lah. Started with the Ayan Goreng Berempah which is a ginger coated fried chicken. It was good to try for 1-2 pieces after which it becomes boring very quickly and heavy as it was super oily. The Rendang Sandwich was next which was my favourite dish! Both the bread and meat were absolutely melting in the mouth with perfect seasoning and right bread to meat ratio. Would highly recommend. Got the Char Siu Pork fried rice next, which again was well cooked, a bit on the spicier side and plated well. My only complaint here is that it was again on the oily side, but maybe that’s a part of the Wok Hei experience! Finally ended with the Kopi-C tiramisu. Since it wasn’t a classic tiramisu, I won’t judge it by those standards. It was a fantastic dessert in its own might. The coffee flavour was strong like how Malaysian coffee should be! I quite liked it and would recommend. I also had the classic Milo (not pictured) which was a treat on a hot day but disappeared very quickly!

Had a great experience at Kopitiam Lah! The cafe has really nice seating and a cozy ambience that makes it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was excellent—staff were friendly and attentive throughout. I tried the Otak Otak and the Kopi C Tiramisu, and both were absolutely superb. The flavors were spot on and definitely worth trying if you visit. Overall, a lovely Malaysian cuisine spot with great food, service, and atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back again

I recently visited Kopitiam Lah, a Malaysian restaurant that feels quite posh and well put together. The place has a great ambience and an impressive variety of dishes on the menu. The service really stands out — the staff are very amicable, attentive, and happy to help with recommendations. The food is good and authentic, but if you’re new to Malaysian cuisine, it’s better to choose dishes carefully because the flavours can be quite bold and different from what you might be used to. Thankfully, the staff guide you well if you ask. Overall, it’s a lovely spot if you want to try something unique, enjoy great service, and experience Malaysian flavours in a classy setting.

Went for brunch, when we called they told we could come anytime, after arriving they told no food orders till 12:30. A big turnoff. The service was slow. Food was average. Please don't take the puff thing it's just a samosa with fancy description. The cold milo was yum. The veg laksa curry was good. The dimsums were tasty but not worth the price and quantity. The basque cheesecake was like chocolate mousse and didn't feel like a cheesecake at all neither looked like one; and very less in quantity. Overall felt like it's overhyped on the internet. Even though food was okayish n cost was too high it was so crowded even in the middle of the week at lunchtime.

Overall: 4-4.5/5 - Lunch was really good the first time we went there. The second time we had a mixed experience, service was slow, food took forever to arrive, stuff was over cooked. - We loved the Char Siu pork, those pieces were cooked well the first time, the sauce is very sweet though - wonton mee soup was the big surprise when we had it. It was excellent. - Nasi Lemak is quite authentic and flavourful. The Sambal was a bit on the sweeter side but it tastes very authentic. - Tiramisu in that lovely cup is very very nice, lots of cocoa / coffee flavour and with condensed milk it’s very tasty but be warned it’s a meal in itself, super heavy and its best shared with another person - The 2nd time we had Penang noodles which was so-so, decent meal but nothing out of this world. - Chicken satay was very decent but the highlight were the sides served to us- the peanut sauce and the fried bread - Seafood Laksa was not bad but we felt something was off, maybe it had some ingredient which was more, a good heap of lemon helped the taste but it was borderline sour. - Coffee and Kaya toast is a nice combo for an evening visit but note that they may use condensed milk in the coffee so check the type you order in advance. Overall, Kopitam Lah is a must visit for ( close to ) authentic Malaysian food, however you need a reservation well in advance for lunch and dinner. They don’t have walk-ins for Lunch ( maybe this applies to dinner too ). Breakfast also appears to be very popular time to visit.

A great place for Malaysian food!!! We started with the mushroom truffle dimsums which were flavourful but felt the serving of 3 pieces was less . This was followed with a chicken satay with a sauce . Quite good. For the main course we had a Char Kway Teow with seafood ( prawns & squid rings) . It was tasty . On the whole it was a good fulfilling lunch.
