9 Best All-inclusive Resorts in Tulum

"With fewer than 100 rooms, this is one of the most intimately sized all-inclusive resorts you can book in Mexico — and that's just how guests of Kore Tulum like it. Kore sits right at the crossroads of the bustling Tulum town and the beachy Hotel Zone." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Let’s get into this hotel: Upon arrival I was greeted at the gate with a letter stating, “Dear Ms, We thank you once again for choosing Kore Tulum for your getaway June 26-29, 2025 We had to make a last minute decisión concerning some maintenance work that needed to be done in order to offer you the Service you deserve. The maintenance work involves a temporary closure of our hotel as we undergo these renovations to improve guest experience in the future. While we've informed our travel partners and agencies about these improvements, it seems there might have been a communication gap that prevented your agency from reaching you. To ensure your stay in Tulum Mexico is as enjoyable as possible, we've made arrangements) for you at Aloft Tulum ( A Marriott Brand hotel just 3km away here on the hotel zone ), where you'll receive the same excellent benefits you'd enjoy here at Kore Tulum. We're confident you'll love it! We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. Should you have any further questions, we recommend contacting the company that you booked so they may help with any further questions We appreciate your understanding Management Team.” •THERE WAS NO HEADS UP VIA EMAIL OR PHONE PRIOR TO MY RESERVATION REGARDING THE LAST MINUTE CHANGE. •THE HOTEL THEY SWITCHED ME TO DID NOT HAVE THE SAME AMENITIES THAT I PAID FOR. (JACUZZI/TUB IN THE HOTEL AND ALL INCLUSIVE). When I asked ALoft about getting my refund for the extras that I paid for they told me to contact my travel agent. • I WAS LEFT STRANDED FOR AN HOUR AND 30MIN LOOKING FOR ANOTHER HOTEL BC THE HOTEL TRANSFERRED TO WAS NOT UP TO PAR. •AFTER SPEAKING WITH A VIRTUAL AGENT, I WAS AFFIRMED THAT I WOULD BE REIMBURSED VIA CHAT AND EMAIL, I WAS SENT ANOTHER EMAIL 2 DAYS LATER FROM HOTELS.COM STATING HOW I WOULD NOT BE RECEIVING A REFUND BC THEY WEREN’T ABLE TO OBTAIN AN APPROVAL FROM KORE’S PROPERTY MANAGER. • I ALSO TRIED TO PERSONALLY CALL KORE RETREAT AND SPA AND NO ONE ANSWERED!! This amount of unprofessionalism, lack of communication and unwillingness to provide a refund or be compensated for my troubles should be looked into and to be honest I am on the verge of contacting The Better Business Bureau and The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau about this hotel!!

We just came back from our fourth visit to Kore. I wasnt sure what to expect after reading some reviews but i must say the whole time we were there the employees were painting and cleaning. They work so hard in that heat! (While we drank margaritas ;-) !) We were lucky to have great weather just light shower at night some times. So peacefful sitting on the restaurant terrace eating breakfast. One night it was the mayan shaman night. Would greatly recommend this hotel for couples. Its very romantic we sat many times on those nice wooden sun beds looking out to the ocean

I booked Kore Tulum for my birthday trip because it’s advertised as an adults-only, all-inclusive wellness retreat with spa services. I arrived to find the property completely closed for renovations — no prior email, call, or notice. Instead, I was handed a slip of paper saying I was being redirected to the Wyndham Grand Tulum. This was not an equal replacement. Kore Tulum’s closure should have been communicated well in advance. Guests should never arrive expecting a specific experience only to discover the hotel isn’t even open. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of transparency and customer care.

Visited the hotel with a group.. |hotel is a beautiful property with an awesome location . Staff out did themselves to please all of the group’s needs. The Spa and massager awesome.||But unfortunately the hotel do need some tender loving care and updating. No hot water, air conditioning needs to be colder in heat weather , new towels and bed sheets, some areas needs painting, rooms need to be refreshed or opened up if expecting arrivals, some doors needs doorslatchs .||I have visited this hotel in the past, it is sad to see the property going to waste.|||Hope Owners can invest and do some remodeling or updates.||Wishing all the Best!

Do NOT go there! Honestly, I’ve never seen anything like this at a resort. The food is disappointing — they’re always missing things, whether it’s dishes, cutlery, or even basic ingredients. It really feels like they’re not prepared for guests at all. And the rooms… what a mess. They had to move me twice because of cracks in the ceiling. Nothing is clean, everything is old and poorly maintained. The jacuzzi? Absolutely disgusting. The water was murky, it smelled bad — there was no way to enjoy it. The photos online will sell you a dream, but once you arrive, you’ll see the harsh reality. If you want a real vacation experience, just go to Club Med — at least there, you’ll get your money’s worth.

We enjoyed our stay at the resort. The food was excellent. The resort is located in an excellent location. The food and beverage staff are friendly. |We had one negative event of theft. The housekeeping staff stole money from our room when we were at breakfast. I don’t blame the hotel for this as we should never have left money in our room. |Advise: always take your money with you. Never leave it in the room unattended.

Worst place I’ve ever stayed in!!! The resort is in much need of a refurbishment, very tired looking, all thatched roofs falling apart, with large holes in them. When it rained, the water came through the roof of our block like Niagara Falls! We was trapped in our room until cleaners came and cleared up the flooded corridors and stairs! All inclusive it definitely WASN’T, all food was from a small menu, for breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! Only 1 Restaurant, not two as advertised, and the so called restaurant that was there, definitely wasn’t “Al a Carte”!!! We was served by waiters who wanted tips every day!! No nice buffet to go help yourself (as advertised!!) The food was inedible, absolutely disgusting! Mexico is the biggest producer of avocados, and yet for 5 days we was told, we have none?? So No guacamole?? Every day we was told what was NOT available from the limited menu! We spent a fortune eating out!! No snack bars as advertised, no poolside snack bar as advertised, no Cafe as advertised. You had to argue with waiters to be served premium drinks, otherwise you was served low cost substitute alcohol. No bottles of water in the only restaurant, only warm water from so called water coolers around the complex, which looked really grubby… NO entertainment whatsoever, even though it was advertised!!! When we arrived at 10.30pm after travelling for over 23 hours, we was expecting some snacks at least and a drink? We was told there was nothing available?!! We asked for Room Service and was told the Kitchen was closed?!! We went to bed hungry… There was only 2 rusty old bikes to hire out for residents, for a 90 + room resort??!! Air-conditioning was constantly breaking down during the night, which made sleeping really difficult, and uncomfortable. Constant power cuts, which somehow turned the water supply off?!! No kettle in the room as advertised, just a coffee machine with no instructions how to use it! The Jacuzzi bath on the terrace took nearly 2 hours to fill up!! The mini mart offered 7 day opening, on the day we departed (Tues) we wanted to buy some bits, but it was shut?!! |Basically this place is a joke!! Totally ruined our experience of Mexico, we was very disappointed!! Not worth the money we paid. This resort is being falsely advertised by Tour Operators!! We booked through LoveHolidays.
