Its like walking into the past. This was such a treat. The exhibits, the food, the fun. I was absolutely amazed, and overwhelmed by it all. It really took me back in time. I.love it. I will definitely come back. Great for kids of all ages. Plenty of food and restrooms and water. So many options to engage with the past.

The Korean Folk Village is a must-visit cultural attraction that offers an immersive journey into Korea’s past, particularly the Joseon dynasty era. Located in a beautiful natural setting surrounded by trees and gentle hills, the village is spacious, atmospheric, and incredibly well maintained—making you feel as though you’ve truly stepped back in time. We were amazed by the variety and authenticity of the traditional homes, noble palaces, and village structures, each meticulously preserved or reconstructed. From the homes of aristocrats to the humble dwellings of commoners and craftsmen, every area paints a vivid picture of how people from different walks of life used to live, work, and interact. You can explore old markets, kitchens, blacksmith shops, pottery workshops, and more. One of the highlights was watching live performances featuring people dressed in traditional hanbok, performing folk dances, music, and acrobatic displays. These cultural performances brought the entire place to life and added an authentic festive vibe. You can also rent traditional costumes and walk around the village for your own immersive experience. We highly recommend visiting on a weekday, when the village is less crowded and easier to explore at a leisurely pace. An unforgettable cultural experience for both locals and tourists alike.

Amazing experience, large venue filled with beautiful examples of 'old' folk korean homes and way of life. Clean, loads to see, places to stop and rest or eat. The performances and intervals are also a great experience. 10/10

Great place to actually see the culture of Korea during their Joeseon Dynasty. They have many houses from all over Korea that have been transplanted. Also have a Buddhist temple on site. You get to watch craftsman work in traditional methods to make various items. Then if you don't care about that there is also a water park, and a small theme park.

Despite the rains, we had a great time visiting the Korean Folk Village this May 2025. You get to know more about Korea's culture and appreciate how they maintained this beautiful attraction. A must-visit place when in South Korea. 🖤🤍❤️💙

My wife and I visited on a Tuesday early afternoon, 6/10/2025, as part of a day tour package. This park had many recreations of buildings and tools of Korean life from many years ago. The parking lot was no more than a third full, so many food and souvenir shops were not open throughout the park. That was fine for us, because the best parts of the park, the scenery, the traditional buildings and gardens, were not crowded and allowed us to stroll and take many photos and selfies with almost no one around. The best part of our visit was the live traditional dance performance at 4 pm. There were many live performances scheduled throughout the day at several areas of the park, but we could only see the 4 pm show because of our limited time with the tour.

This is a theme park of Korea during the Joseon dynasty. Mostly it’s old style houses from different regions and social classes, very interesting if you are into that sort of thing. There are some music or dance shows throughout the day, I would highly recommend to see them. There is also a mini world museum with photos and artifacts from all over the world. There is an also a carnival part with attractions for kids, a museum of Korea, a few restaurants, shops and some activities to do like horse riding or archery. A lot of things are closed during the weekdays tho, like the horror experience house. I would say it’s a nice experience if you have some extra days in Seoul and you really want to learn more about the history of the country. My only suggestion would be to add more activities for adults, there are some things to do but it felt like half were designed for kids. For a better reference I would suggest to look at Edo World close to Tokyo in Japan.

We were lucky to see a traditional Korean wedding, it was beautiful dancing. The village is fun for adults and kids, you can put yourself in the time of the Joseon dynasty and just walk around to see how people lived. There are a lot of activities for kids as well, they will have fun in the water park in the Summer. People can make pottery in the workshop. There is a decent amount of food to choose from as well, which is pretty good (not gourmet but tasted ok). There are some exhibits to help you understand what life was like during the Joseon dynasty. There is a rental place so you can dress in Hanbok if you want to embrace the history (many people do). We visited on a weekday so it wasn't super busy, this is what I'd recommend.
