Also called Arirang Korea. One of those hole-in-the-wall restaurants that serves up amazing food.

I heard that this restaurant had a reopening since it’s closing a couple years ago. I came to try it out with my girlfriend and see if it’s good still. I wasn’t disappointed in the food! It was tasty and good. Still have to buy your own water bottle or soda. The cool thing was that they allowed a small change to their food menu when I asked for it. My GF doesn’t like pork kimchi Chigae so I asked if they could use beef instead and they agreed. I also wanted spicy pork gugoggi and they were able to accommodate. Really liked that they were flexible and can accommodate to our wants.

They’re back open again. Close on Mondays and Tuesdays. Everything was fresh and authentic. My favorite is their stir fry squid and spicy pork really hits the spot.

1st time here. So far the foods are so good. If you look for more traditional taste of Korean food, you should give it a try. The service is nice. It's an elderly grandpa. He's so sweet. Love the foods! Totally recommended this place.

Excellent food! Great customer service! Easy parking! Comfortable environment! I recommend this place for everyone who crave Korean food. ☺️♥️ I've went here a few times, and wanted to share this awesome place for everyone. Don't hesitate! Try something new, and guarantee it's going to worth it. Update: 03/17/2023 Venmo Payment! No Card Payment. Nice and calm dining.

Shared parking lot with Beauty Supply Store next door, though I usually just do street parking. 1-2 small steps to enter for handicap accessability to consider. One large table for parties of 6-8, multiple 2 tops and 4 tops. Not sure about reservations, I wouldn't bet on it. Plain/casual interior vibe. I've been lucky so far and haven't run into issues with their business hours, but others definitley have. Ordered at the counter and paid right away(card+cash) then sat down. I've seen people pay after as well. Food is great. They make their own kimchi. Kimchi Chigae is probably my favorite item. Plain wings are a close second. Reading that people aren't liking the jajangmyeon, so stay away from that I guess. Sides, rice, and water bottle/soda included with all dishes even with some noodle dishes. Free refills on sides and rice if you get the chance to ask. You can ask for free take-out containers There's usually only about 2 older folks working at a time with limited english. So things can take a while to come out if they're busy or there might be some communication trouble, but I think it's worth the food. Service is actually quite nice and attentive if they're not slammed. Selfishly hoping this spot stays lowkey. They gave me free kimbap once when they were close to closing. Good overall dining experience. Will continue to support.

Arirang is one of THE BEST restaurants I have found so far in the Twin Cities, a hidden gem along West 7th in East Saint Paul. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and seated in a cozy corner spot by the window. The service was polite and speedy, our orders taken accurately and the food arriving soon after. The presentation was superb, artistically arranged and inviting to the pallette. From the first bite to the last, each dish did not disappoint. The taste and texture were perfect, filled with flavor. I would HIGHLY recommend Arirang to anyone looking for an authentic Korean experience here in Saint Paul.

I went to the Korea restaurant when they used to be at the UofM campus many years ago. The food is always good at a reasonable price. I love this place and love that they moved closer to saint paul! My only complaint is that it was very chilly in the restaurant in the winter time. . 🥶

The food was okay. The aesthetics of this restaurant was not very pleasing. The tables were sticky, we arrived right at opening time and they still had old trays of food from the previous day sitting out, there were cases of drinks all over the floor in the front, there were huge cardboard boxes sitting out on some of the dining tables. This place just felt dirty like they don't do much cleaning. It was about $10-$15 per entree. Overall, I would not come back to this restaurant. I'll stick with my usual place I go to in Maplewood.
