The place is beautiful! Designed by Takahiko Yanagisawa, I feel very calm when I was inside the building. It has massive parking spots, no need to worry. Free small lockers are available too. The temporary exhibition was great, however the permanent exhibition is not the best except 2 sculptures on the first floor. The toilet doesn’t have bidet though!

Local art museum, located to the east of Koriyama city. Beautiful grounds, a piece of art in itself, with its slate crater like steps and sculpture. Permanent exhibition with collections of 19th century British art, for example, Turner and Constable, as well as Japanese art. Rotating visiting exhibition too, currently John Paul II in March 2023.

Very impressive museum, we saw a temporary exhibition from the imperial art collection but the main exhibition is also worth a visit. The building and surrounding Forrest is super beautiful. Awesome job.

Very nice museum. The architecture made me feel lightheaded, the permanent collection gave me a joy. I wish I had time to spend it in the museum library. It is well designed as well. I was surprised there were no visitors at all.

A lovely modern art facility overlooking Koriyama. I actually walked out here from town and it was fun! Staff are polite and helpful. Great facilities in a beautiful setting - worth a visit.

美しくて素晴らしい美術館です！ 天空の城ラピュタ、火垂るの墓、もののけ姫など数々の名作アニメーション映画で美術監督を務められた山本ニ三様の作品が！ 今！郡山美術館に‼️ 2025.9.13から11月9日まで新・山本ニ三展 一般1000円、高校生.大学生.65歳以上は700円中学生以下障がい手帳をお持ちの方は無料です。 （常設展も一緒にご覧になれます。） 写真撮影は不可ですが 作品の数が未公開の美術設定やイメージボード、制作用具など！220点！ 見応えのある企画展でした。 観覧できて本当に良かったと思います😊 是非足を運んでみてください。 駐車場は無料 常設展のみの方は200円だったと思います。 ただいま　西田敏行さんの無料企画展が開催されていました。一緒に見ることができて大満足です。

郡山の観光で検索すると一番にでてきたので訪れました。 緑の中にある大型の建物、エントランスは長く、ガラス張りの館内、建物やロケーション自体も美術を感じるすばらしいものでした。 展示は建物の割には多くありませんが、余裕の空間と、的確な照明で鑑賞しやすくゆったりとできました。 日曜日の午後で混みあっていましたが、とても静かに鑑賞されており、全くストレスがありませんでした。 （子供にはたいくつな展示だったのか、子供がいませんでした） この美術館を利用される地元の方などはとても良識があるのだと感じました。 Cafe、図書スペース、ショップもあります。 スタッフの皆さんとても丁寧でよかったのですが、ショップのレジのスタッフの方が図書スペースにまで響くような声でずっと話しており下品さにびっくりしました。 美術館の品格を落とすので気を付けてほしいです。 ★5で訪問を終えたかったのですが、最後のショップで残念な気持ちになりました。
