Kos Aktis Art Hotel

"The Greek island of Kos is famous for its abundance of Greek and Roman landmarks—Hippocrates’s shady tree has its home here—and you could make a strong case for Kos Aktis being added to the list. Its minimalist décor is a far cry from the fanciful flourishes of temples or forums, but what it lacks in flair, it makes up for in features like floor-to-ceiling bedside windows, and tasty, traditional Greek breakfasts comprising local favorites (try the loukoumades, sticky, honey-covered bits of fried dough, for a true taste of the island)."

The first time we went to the beautiful island of Kos we stayed at a different hotel but saw another couple dropped off here and thought the location was spot on, very central..so we booked again and had 10 nights here. We loved it so much we booked again for 14 nights (and have booked again for next year!) The hotel is right on the sea with all rooms having private sea facing balconies. The breakfasts are a very high quality and offer a wide choice of food. and there was always seats available at breakfast. Whilst there's no pool you can use the facilities at the sister hotel but you have the greatest pool to swim in.... the sea!!! We loved sitting on the balcony watching the yachts and katamarans that were moored up outside with the twinkling lights of Turkey (Bodrum) across the water. The staff are amazing and we would like to thank them all, especially the lady on the reception who remembered us and gave us a very warm welcome and the lady who cleaned our room who always greeted us with a beautiful 'Kalimera', It was so great to be reunited with our Greek friends (both human and furry!) Kos has rapidly become our favourite destination. The people are incredibly warm, kind, generous and hospitable and always want to feed you up, give you ouzo and raki and talk to you. After seeing all the people who visit the island throughout the season, it was very special to be remembered and treated like old friends. If I could give this hotel ten out of five I would. |Efcharisto and look forward to seeing you again soon!

Kos Aktis Art Hotel is a very pleasant hotel in Kos. The rooms are clean and adequately sized. There's a small beach in front of it, but even though we have visited this hotel in July, it was always possible to find a place there. The hotel can also be booked on a half-board basis. If you're staying half-board, you'll enjoy a delicious dinner by the sea in the evening. Each person can choose an appetizer, any salad they like, a main course of their choice, and a dessert of their choice from the menu. The presentation is meticulous and visually appealing. Breakfast is also quite rich. It's served as an open buffet, offering several different types of each item.

Super central!|We would like to thank all the staff: the very professional welcome from Dionisia, the very friendly restaurant staff, and the courteous housekeeper.|Very comfortable room (Junior Suite) (air conditioning, bathtub). Excellent breakfast. Dinner (à la carte) very refined and sophisticated but quite limited (for 11-day stay). Good for those who |enjoy this genre.|Very pleasant stay. Absolutely loved I stay at Kos Aktis Hotel! The rooms are stunning—modern, clean, and right above the sea, with breathtaking views. Sleeping with the sound of the waves was incredibly relaxing. What made the experience even better was the amazing staff—so kind, helpful, and professional. Can’t wait to come back!

I stayed for 3 nights. The view to the see was amazing but they don't have a parking area. That was a big problem as i couldn't find a parking spot near the hotel. As for the breakfast everything was ok but they charge the coffee and it was so expensive. Actually they hadn't an espresso machine. They asked you if you want coffee without inform you that there will be charges. Also, if you want water you have to ask the waiter to bring you a glass because you dont have access to a water machine.

The view & the location is truly wonderful and one of the best |all other places around are first facing a busy main street and then the ocean|here you are right in front of the ocean - also a very nice large terrace space !|the front desk was super friendly ||Yet not sure why the hotel is called art hotel - not much of art around ?|the hotel hall way you might feel you ended up in a run down hospital ! |the hotel crowd felt "weird" nearly everyone ! was smoking while others were trying to have breakfast & also all around 60-70 years old
