We took a boat ride over from Turkey while on holiday we bought our tickets the same day but I’m sure you can pre-book. We travelled mid week and end of season (near the end of October) so we didn’t feel the need to book and absolutely loved our day in Kos Old Town! It’s such a charming Greek island - full of lovely shops, bars, and restaurants. The locals were so friendly and welcoming, and the whole place has a relaxed, authentic feel. Definitely worth a visit - highly recommend!

Kos old town is a wonderful bustling town full of activity. There are lots of little touristy type shops to get lost in. The only down side are the restaurants. Although there is a wide selection and the food was terrific there are a few who have staff on the street rather forcefully trying to get you into their restaurants and will actually get in your way and stop you. So be prepared to be forceful back.

Such a beautiful place to visit. The small streets with colorful houses and shops are great for walking around. In the evening with all the lights, it feels very cozy and romantic. There are many nice tavernas and cafés where you can eat, drink and enjoy the atmosphere

Kos town is lovely. A marina with boats of various designs and excursions. There were interesting shops, boutiques, and restaurants. There was a castle we did not go, as it closed when we got there. We really enjoyed Kos.

Really impressive old town. Some beautiful architecture interspersed with the tourist shopping stalls and vendors offering a mixture of modern trinkets and more traditional items including evil eyes and 'i love kos' memorabilia.

Beautiful area, many shops, a lot of history in architecture. Wonderful photo spots, many restaurants as well. BIG RECOMMENDATION!

Fantastic town centre. So many tiny shops and taverns all over the place all covered in colorful flowers or decorations. Plenty to enjoy around.
