"Situated above the attractive Salwator neighborhood on the outskirts of Kraków, Kościuszko Mound is a lovely place for a walk and photo opportunity—but also so much more. Built by the people of Kraków in 1820, the commemorative mound honors Polish leader Tadeusz Kościuszko and the nationalist spirit during the time of partitions. Three years after Kościuszko’s death, Kraków residents used earth from the battlefields where he fought to construct the mound. A century later—on the 150th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence—they added soil from the United States. For citizens of Kraków, the mound and its surrounding area, with paths through the woods and fields overlooking the river, are a favorite spot for Sunday outings."

An interesting way to spend a couple of hours. If you're a tourist, it should be on your checklist. If you're a Krakow native you've probably been here a couple of times. It's a Kosciuszko museum that opens up onto the mound from which there are amazing vistas onto the city. It's easily accessible by public transport. Definitely recommend.

there is free parking right outside the entrance. the only way to get to the mound is to go through the exhibition which has a cheap entry fee but once you are through the exhibition you get to the mound. once at the top of the mound, you get amazing views of krakow and the surrounding area. it was very quiet when we went. definitely worth it to visit!

We visited this spot when we wanted to climb a hill in Poland – which is quite rare since there aren’t many hills around. :) The reward was an amazing view of Krakow that suddenly didn’t feel so huge. There’s also a nice museum and a well-kept area worth checking out. If you’re in Krakow, this place is a must-see.

Visiting Kościuszko Mound was an incredible experience. The panoramic views of Kraków and the surrounding areas from the top are breathtaking, and the historical significance of the site makes it even more special. A must-visit for anyone interested in history, nature, and stunning scenery!

Really interesting exhibition - definitely worth a visit. We walked from the Old Town, which was very easy and took about 45 minutes. It was not busy and it was easy to buy tickets. I didn't know anything about Kosciusko before we visited but the exhibition is very informative and the interactive displays (in Polish and English) allowed you to get more detail about him and Polish 18th century history. Probably a bit dry for children but they'd like climbing the mound and there was a small playground outside. Overall a fascinating visit, with great views from the top! And the cafe inside had good value drinks and snacks.

We had a taxi from the centre of Krakow. We were on our way back to the airport. The taxi driver suggested waiting for us at the museum and taking us directly to the airport as signal is poor and the area is quite remote A great place to visit. We had fast track tickets, which probably would of been very useful on busy days The walk up the mound was quite emotional. It’s a small winding footpath with no hand rail

We got a local bus that takes you right to the office. Small fee to enter, had an exhibition on the way through and a really nice cafe with inside and outside seating with reasonable prices. Views at top of mound are great, surrounded by a park.
