The restaurant is well located and very nice visually inside — a beautiful place with a pleasant atmosphere. However, the prices feel a bit overrated for what is offered. The dishes are decent but lack strong flavor. I would not recommend ordering meat here — seafood is a much better choice. The seafood was fresh and good, but even there, it felt like something was missing in terms of seasoning (salt and acidity). The cocktails are okay, I would recommend the mojitos. We also ordered piña coladas, and unfortunately, the rum was barely noticeable. On the positive side, everything is nicely presented, the atmosphere is enjoyable, the music is well chosen, and the staff is friendly, attentive, and polite.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a wonderful restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. The menu offered a perfect balance of creativity and authenticity, with every dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. One of the highlights was a dish that stood out for its impeccable preparation and taste—it was simply exquisite. The attention to detail in both the food and the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring an enjoyable dining experience. This was more than just a meal; it was a celebration of flavors and a testament to culinary excellence. I can’t wait to return and discover more of their offerings. Highly recommended!

Koté Sud is a dining experience that stands out as exceptional in Guadeloupe. From start to finish, it showcases a dedication to freshness, creativity, and quality that is hard to match. The restaurant is close to the Plage de la Caravelle and has a lovely shady garden ambiance. The menu offers unique and imaginative dishes that are beautifully plated. Everything is made in-house, and the freshness of the ingredients is evident. We even saw the owner bringing in live lobsters from a local supplier—an impressive touch that highlights the restaurant’s commitment to quality. For our meal, we started with scallops draped in a cucumber-coconut sauce. The flavors were perfectly balanced, light yet rich, and genuinely memorable. For the main course, we chose the mahi mahi (“dorade”)—the fish of the day—glazed with passion fruit and served over an apple-potato mash. Every bite was a delightful blend of textures and flavors, showcasing the chef’s skill and creativity. The restaurant also offers an excellent wine list and seasonal cocktails that pair beautifully with the food. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall experience. Koté Sud combines impeccable food, thoughtful service, and a welcoming atmosphere. While Guadeloupe has many great dining options, this was, without a doubt, the highlight of our culinary experiences on the island. If you’re looking for a meal that’s both sophisticated and satisfying, this is the place to go.

Very charming and quiet restaurant located down a side street. The host/ hostess were very patient with us since we do not know much french. The escargot, beef carpaccio and fish fritters were delicious!! My husband had the “fish of the day” which was stingray that day. He enjoyed it thoroughly.

Very unfortunate experience we had at this restaurant. We ordered La côte de boeuf, but it was not eatable, full with veins. For a €89 dish we couldn’t eat even two peace’s per person… We asked if there was a possibility to make a new one, but the answer was no and according the chef cook the meat was just fine. The wine was good though.

The entrée were great beside the tartar which had less flavor than expected. The marlin fish was superb. The lamb was really tender but was served with some terrible sauce, which was totally not my taste.

Lack of presentation, fried octopus, way too dry, should be smacked and juicy instead of deep fried, especially at this mid-high price level. Nice collection of old rhum bravo

Coup de cœur of a restaurant. Really recommend la ronde des entrées, the grilled chatrou and the assortment of desserts. An interesting fusion cuisine with exceptional flavours and perfectly cooked food. Service was really good as well.
