Koto Van Mieu Restaurant

I’m really glad I found this restaurant through online reviews. We ordered the Van Mieu set for two and shared it among three people, and the portion was just right for us. I was especially impressed by the beef, it was full of flavour yet still tender and juicy, which pleasantly surprised me. The pricing felt reasonable for the quality of food, and honestly, this turned out to be one of the best meals I had in Vietnam, far better than a Michelin-star restaurant I visited earlier in the trip. There were a few small hiccups in the service from the younger waitstaff, but it was understandable as they are still in the learning phase. Overall, the food quality more than made up for it, and I would definitely recommend this place.

We had a great experience at KOTO Van Mieu. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. While the prices are a bit higher than your average local spot, it is more than worth it when you consider the cause supporting a social enterprise that provides hospitality training for disadvantaged youth. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. It was inspiring to see these young people doing such a professional job and working so hard. If you want a great meal in a lovely atmosphere while supporting a good cause, this is the place to go

Incredible social impact organization that spreads kindness to the underserved through food (and art). I had the kombucha, two way pork, and fruit. I heard the coffee is stellar. Everything was amazing. For North Americans, the booch is mild fizziness which I enjoyed. I also couldn't resist buying a few souvenirs while enjoying my food. I left this place feeling good both in the soul and tummy :-) Lastly, An and team were great, very responsive, and helpful with the menu which doesn't disappoint. I'm wrapping up a solo trip but will absolutely return with the family to enjoy this amazing place.

This is a charity that helps street kids get a career in hospitality by training in kitchen, service, and managerial skills. We arrived at lunch without a booking and they accomodated us without problem on the ground floor, which i think was a blessing given the number of tours going upstairs. The food is next level. The menu is a modern twist on traditional. We opted for the more expensive of the two set menus, and it was fantastic. I had what might have been the tenderedt steak I've ever eaten. Update, because I forgot to add. Our service was first class. The young ladies who served our table were highly professional and courteous. I would expect this level of service in a restaurant of the highest order. Keep doing what you're doing (very well). Ethical eating at its very best.

The best food I had in Hanoi! This restaurant does amazing work supporting youth training to be chefs and waitstaff. The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's a popular spot for foreign travelers and well worth a visit for both the food and the cause.

One word. Ngon 🥰 I was recommended to come here for lunch given the positive online reviews and restaurant’s humanism mission to support disadvantaged youths. I got the passion fruit kombucha and betel leaf delight with prawns and pomelo. Bursting with flavours, my lunch was light and delicious. All the staff were warm, friendly and attentive. I’m glad I could fill my tummy and support their mission.

You can enjoy traditional but modern tastes Vietnamese cuisine. KOTO is the first Vietnamese social enterprise in Vietnam and support younger gain skillset and become independent. All cuisine is cooked here and served by younger people. You can enjoy lunch or dinner after sites seeing so that the restaurant is next to Van Mieu.

Noisy, poor service, food is ok but not worth going. They gave us a table close to the door, constantly people walk in and out, even the cleaning lady with trash bins!!! And they don’t allow us to change table. Even if there are other tables upstairs. Their service is poor, the staff seems don’t know what they’re doing, they provided towels to some tables but not the other. Then they don’t look for tables, two of the staff stacked in one table while there are two other tables are calling … They seems has nothing to do. The food is ok but nothing special. In short, Don’t need to go.
