I bought three types of honey from Kou Cuisine as gifts for my family back home, and they really loved them! Great quality.

Dearest Kou’s business owner(s), just open your eyes and read the negative comments here, it’s not about your products but your people. The discrimination is real. I’m from Singapore, even though I am Chinese majority of us do understand basic Malay language. Upon entering I do not expect to be greeting warmly, but I was greeted with a very unpleasant look, not even a smile, the look was more “how dare you bother me”. Shortly after me, a Caucasian couple entered and was greeted so warmly with the salutation of Sir and Madam and very big smiles. Doesn’t matter, this is happening throughout South East Asia, somehow white supremacist is still a thing in this day and age. What was the most shocking was the conversation between your staff. Assuming that we are from China then saying some unpleasant stuff. We heard and understand every word. Please educate your staff, even thought we are not from China but China has progressed tremendously, with people who are well-travelled, well-educated, and successful. It’s time for u guys to update our perspectives too and let go of old assumptions about Western superiority.

The famous ubud home made jam. Friendly staff and cash only. You can try first before you purchase. Apple cinnamon jam been my favorit since 2018.

Everytime I visit bali, I buy gifts at this place. You can taste every jams, the milk caramel and strawberry banana is the best. ⚠️ You have to pay cash.

The staffs need to be trained for customer service. No smile and arrogance. Products are great but service is so bad. After purchasing items, even they didn’t say thank you. Not only one staff but three staffs.

Small store, but just enough for everything they have because they sell jams in glass can. tasted great. You can also try their sample you can try them all. perfect for gifts i'd say, but it is food tho, so maybe for local gifts only or you can eat it by yourself. the price is fair i'd say. located in busy street in Ubud where parking is not easy. staff is helpful.

Small boutique selling a limited number of jams and various raw honey in 110ml jars (not carry-on friendly unfortunately, so plan ahead.) You'll find common flavors such as mango, apple cinnamon, banana strawberry and the like. All are priced at 40k, which is probably what you'd be paying back in Western Europe or North America. Tried the best-selling milk caramel and the new chocolate praline one, both were pleasant and I could easily see this going well on some toast or morning pancake, or as a topping for fruit granola yogurt. Service quality could be improved. Although the shop is tiny and the product selection limited and straightforward, a friendly smile as a greeting could go a long way.

It was six forty when we got in the store and they locked the door behind us. We tasted two jams and were looking at the prices when one of the shop assistants told us “You’re buying something or not? The store is already closed”, she was visibly annoyed and rushed us out so we went. It was six forty-three when we got out, and the store supposedly closes at a quarter to seven??? So not only was she rude but she was also closing early. We were going to buy a jam but now we completely lost interest.
