Koura Lodge

We arrived to find the unit we booked was a two bedroom suite with a kitchen and reception area with a pool table. The lap of luxury. |The accommodation was perfect. Quiet, clean, comfortable. The view from our front windows was amazing. |Breakfast enjoyable with a reasonable selection of items. |Staff, warm and friendly. So eager to help make our stay perfect. |The location is in a quiet residential area along the lake shore but very private in nature. The drive into town is quick and easy with access to shopping, restaurants and restaurants. |We felt very much at home here and would certainly stay again rather than in a big hotel in the city

Intimate small lodge located down a steep drive. Amazingly helpful and friendly husband and wife team running this establishment. Good size rooms with direct access to lake. Spa and Sauna outdoors (free), kayaks also available. Great breakfast mostly gluten free. Slightly tired decor but great experience nonetheless 5 min drive into town centre.

Driving down the mildly terrifying driveway deposits you in this beautiful lakeside resort. The breakfast area and lakefront are quite lovely—kayaks are provided free of charge and there is a lakeside sauna and hot tub. Breakfast is solid, with both hot and cold offerings and someone making coffee, espressos, etc. to order.||I thought our room was average—on the small and dark side, but the queen-sized bed was very comfortable. Each room also had a small deck or patio.

We had the apartment lodging which comes with a full kitchen area, and a pool table. It was great to spend some relaxation time at this hotel. Nice dock area, and kayaks available for use on the lake. Short drive to the city centre and attractions.

Wonderful bed and breakfast. The rooms are nice and big with a beautiful lake view. Breakfasts were excellent with a good variety of choices. The hosts were very nice and always willing to help you. Highly recommend Koura Lodge.

An unexpected pleasure. We had a lovely room on the lake and got to see 3 swans fighting- 2 males over a female with female looking on!!!|Very good facilities and it was great to have a separate sitting room, having stayed in hotels up to this. Very clean. Barbara and Martin - Ireland

Great breakfast, great rooms, and great view. can’t expect anything more. The driveway is narrow, and a single track which makes it difficult if not impossible to pass oncoming traffic.

Fantastic location; large, well equipped rooms. Enormous, very comfortable bed. Filtered water complementary, along with limitless teabags. Light, airy bathroom with lovely corner bath and separate shower. Canoes available for the lake and hot tub right on the waters edge which was great. |Arun and the ladies at breakfast were all super friendly and helpful. We had a small issue with towels being replaced when we had not put them on the floor and the replacement was not clean. However this was very quickly and courteously dealt with by Simon who had already offered a very warm welcome and given us all the info we needed for our stay. |We were sorry to leave Koura Lodge, would recommend it at the drop of a hat and hope to return one day.
