Great Dining Experience with Exceptional Meat! Kouzeineri Steak House in Heraklion is definitely worth a visit. The food overall was very good, with the standout being the exceptional quality and preparation of the meat—truly a treat for steak lovers! While the burrata could have been fresher, it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyable dining experience. The atmosphere is inviting, the service was attentive, and the restrooms were exceptionally clean, reflecting the restaurant’s commitment to a high standard of care. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable steakhouse experience in Crete!

A local gem! We asked two servers at a coffee shop this morning for a recommendation of where to have dinner on our last tonight in Heraklion and without hesitation they both suggested Kouzeineri. My husband loves steak and has enjoyed many over the years but tonight he believes this was the BEST steak of his 59 year life! He ordered the 500 gram strip loin medium rare. It was charred on the outside as were the generous amount of vegetables that came with it. It was tender, juicy and a perfect flavour and fat balance. I decided on a cheeseburger as I haven’t had one in more than 6 months. Wow!! I can’t remember ever having s better one! The brioche bun was perfect and the burger was thick and juicy without lettuce or tomato - just a generous amount of cheese and dill pickle. Absolute perfection! Because my hubby is gluten free, they brought us a beautiful panne cotta with strawberry compote as the complimentary dessert - so light and not too sweet - absolutely wonderful! The vibe is elegant, but not imposing and the music was our favourite so far - smooth jazz covers. Our server Constantine was so pleasant and even suggested some things for us to do at Rethymno. Not cheap but totally worth it! A very comprehensive wine list and menu. This place is NOT to be missed! Highly recommended!

I absolutely love this place. Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. I was traveling alone in Herakilon and struggled to find a place where I felt comfortable. Most restaurants don't offer bar seating, and I hate to sit at a table alone. Found this place by chance after walking for over an hour and thought I'd give it a shot. The food is not traditional Greek but it's delicious and so are the drinks. I tried several appetizers and asked for the mocktails to be made into cocktails. I was not disappointed. The bar seating is super comfortable, and you can charge your phone. Went two nights in a row. Will definitely return again before I leave the city.

Wow. I love furnishing of this place. And atmosphere is awesome with jazz music. Service perfect. Menu can be improved but food it’s very nice. Burger is perfect! I suggest live music it would be paradise.

The restaurant is wonderfully decorated, the service is professional and the food is excellent, although the prices are not low, but the food is of high quality and at a high level. The wings are nice but nothing special.. It is recommended to try the Argentinian-style piece of pecania meat, which was excellent, but it is important to know that it is a relatively tough piece, but with a strong meat flavor for those who like it (like me😜)

High quality restaurant, good services. Great steak and wine dinner. Very pleasant and satisfying experience overall :) Also available for wheelchair. Close to old city centre. If arriving by car I recommend to park in Central Parking Heraklion that’s a minute walk.

The salmon was nice, although quite expensive (33 Euro) compared to other restaurants in the area which are the same serving size. Also note that you'll be charged for water.

Was very pleasantly surprised by how good this restaurant has become. I had visited once 2 years ago and was disappointed from the quality mismatch between aesthetics and food. But coming back 2 years later I can say, that this, very well is one of the best restaurants in Heraklion. Starters were all great especially the gniochi with truffles, the only midiocre table was the melted brie. I had a garlic butter steak as my main course, which was coocked to perfection, very tender and juicy, and full of flavor, while the meat itself was amazing. As the pastry on the other side of the road is of the same owner it supplies sweets for dessert. Some of the best and most special sweets you can get and a very nice closure to a dinner. The location is great and the local marvelous, combined with a very extensive wine list, this makes for a very easy recommendation.
