Koyao Island Resort

This is an amazing boutique experience on the best island in Thailand. The views, grounds, and rooms were all stunning. The service was great and the restaurant was delicious. We rented a bikes and scooters and went around the whole island. It was truly a breathtaking experience. WARNING: that being said, this hotel has a "connect with nature" concept without fully enclosed rooms, so there will be bugs and you will get bites. They do provide repellent and mosquito nets for sleeping, but some amount of bites are probably inevitable. Still beautiful but keep that in mind.

I visited over a weekend with my wife and three daughters. We booked a family beach villa and had a beautiful stay. Please note, that for those who are sensitive to mosquitoes, the rooms are infested with them. The property does their best in providing repellents of different types but good to know ahead of time. Also, to note, the family villa is one large open room with two king beds; perfect for families with small kids but not for two couples. The property’s access to the beach is ideal. We experienced the complimentary kayaking, and our long boat ride came to pick us up right off the private beach. The gardens, the swimming pool (1.2mtr), and the beach access makes It ideal for families with young children.

Just checked out from an amazing 3-night stay at Koyao Island Resort. I studied islands near Phuket for weeks before the trip as I knew I wanted to get away. This resort is not cheap, but I think it was an amazing value, and WAY less expensive than some of the 5-star places I looked at. The resort is made up of 15 individual villas set off from a central area with reception, restaurant, bar and spa. Everything open-air and beautifully designed and executed. Walking the grounds at night was magical—so much attention put into the landscaping and lighting. Wildlife abounds, we saw dozens of Hornbills, and a three-foot monitor lizard strolled by as we were leaving the room this morning.||The food is excellent—-also pricey for Thailand but perfectly prepared, and a wonderful daily breakfast buffet is included with the room. The staff were wonderful and attentive to everything. ||All the villas are steps from the sea, with a soft sand beach with incredible views of Pha Gna Bay. |I’ll likely reserve a week for next year before I leave the country. I think this is the place where I want to get old.

The experience starts right from the minute you get on that boat, those spectacular views through the seas as you reach the island is indescribable. The resort staff are the best people you’d ever meet, anything you want is available there and they’ll go above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience! The food, the place, the rooms, everything is TOP NOTCH!! Waking up to those views, walking by the beach on the resort, drinking fresh chilled coconut waters in their cute bar is something you’ll never get bored of. My fiance planned a proposal at a nearby island and the resort staff went out of their way to make it outstanding although it was something they didn’t offer and hadn’t done before! It was a dream come true! They arranged everything and made it more than perfect!! 100/100 recommend this place for anytime or occasion! THANK YOU ☺️

The rooms were even more luxurious and beautiful than advertised—spacious, immaculately designed, and equipped with every amenity you could dream of. The resort area is amazing. It’s probably one of the best spots in Koh Yao Noi with stunning views and a large beachfront garden. The staff is nice and helpful. Food is overall nice and good value for money. The biggest issues are the following: - There is basically no proper management in place. Over 3 night spent at the resort, we asked several times if it was possible to talk to the manager of the resort but the answer was that he was away. - The rooms are somehow charming but there is no locker from outside (difficult to put all valuables in a small safe) and there is no proper insulation (a lot of holes in the roof and under the windows). We were in a continuous fight against mosquitoes. We received fans, racquets, special products to try to get rid of them but there are just too many… - In general, rooms and parts of the resort need serious maintenance/ upgrades. If this can be done the right way, this resort would be top

We had 5 days 4 nights in this small boutique hotel.|I put 1/5 because 0 is not possible and the view is beautiful. Otherwise there are so many negatives points we could not put a higher note ! |- no security no keys on the room and the safe is not even fixed in a wall or wallet !|- people from outside seen on deckchair from the hotel in front of our villa with nobody saying anything !|So safety of guests are not respected ||- restaurant is good but so long 2 to 3 hours for 2/3 plates ! There is not enough staff apparently since Covid but price are high !|- Staff is nice and friendly but most of them are not speaking English and the manager finds it is a good idea to do team meetings during diner time !!!|- outside shower smelled very badly and not clean|- clearly price of 4/5 stars but services of 1/2 stars|- last day we asked for 2 bananas since we left at 5am the kitchen forgot|- we wanted to paid part in cash some bills refused because a little bit destroyed ( no problem at airport to be accepted )|- the women manager from the night absolutely useless and rude with guests and with all these problems 2 cocktails compensations wowwww||Run run run from this hotel - it deserves to be closed and no tourists going in this hotel !!!

it's a wonderful small place to relax and enjoy the beauty of a clean ocean und extraordinary views. the bungalows are very spacious and privacy is given for each one. Everyone of the staff is very friendly and helpful. the food is very delicous and the restaurant is outdoor, coverede, so that a nice breeze can always be felt. After busy weeks in different cities in Vietnam and Thailand this was an amazing and wonderful hideout. Wish we could have stayed longer.
