Koyao Island Resort

This place is amazing, we will definitely go back. We have nothing bad to say about this place. Everything was so beautiful and well kept. Everyone we encountered on this resort went above and beyond to make sure you were happy and having a great experience. The rooms were amazing , an experience of a lifetime. They helped with some excursions and made sure everything was perfect, they even packed us a huge bag with towels, fruit, water and other things we might need for the day. If you want a fantastic resort, this is a must

I had a wonderful stay at Koyao Island Resort. The location is absolutely stunning—peaceful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for relaxing far from the crowds. The tented villas are spacious, beautifully designed, and very clean, with incredible views of the sea and the islands. The staff were exceptional: warm, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The restaurant offered delicious food with plenty of fresh local options, and the breakfast was a great way to start each day, they also offer floating breakfast. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful, and unforgettable getaway in paradise. I can’t wait to come back!

We are staying in a beautiful villa with the most amazing views across the garden to the sea. The view is breathtaking. The staff are lovely and very helpful and the location is superb. The food is also first class and breakfast is a fantastic buffet to suit all tastes. The only reason our villa (accommodation) doesn't get 5 stars is due to the fact that although the bed is in an enclosed 'room' with a mosquito net, the nature of how the bungalow is constructed allows for mosquitoes to share the space with you!

This place is THE BEST! If you want rest and relaxation, this peaceful oasis is for you. Accommodation is simple but serene. All of the cute animals around (water buffalo, tons of silly kittens, baby goat, cute chickens, adorable ducks, and monkeys 🐒) made our stay extra special! We stayed in a tent and it was lovely with hot shower and a toilet a few meters away, what else do you need? Quiet and relaxing ☺️ . Right up the road from Khlong son beach which is dreamy at high tide and probably our favorite beach on the island (only 6 min motorbike ride away)

We stayed in one of the tented villas at Koyao Island Resort. The view from the villa is spectacular, and the level of privacy and tranquility is truly exceptional. Of course, you hear the sounds of the jungle in the morning and evening, but that is exactly what makes the experience so special. The private outdoor pool is perfect for a refreshing dip and is cleaned daily. The tent is well equipped with everything you need, including air conditioning. To use the air conditioning, the entire tent must be closed. In the evenings, there are quite a few mosquitoes, so bringing insect repellent is highly recommended. Breakfast is served at the main resort area, which requires a walk of about 15 minutes downhill. The walk is well worth it, as the breakfast selection is excellent and offers everything you could wish for. Once during the stay, breakfast is served as a floating breakfast or directly in the tent, which was a very nice and memorable touch. The beach is beautiful and clean, offering stunning views. The gym is also exceptional, featuring what is probably the best view on Koh Yao Island. The restaurant is excellent, offering high-quality food in a wonderful setting, and the complimentary massage was a fantastic and very relaxing addition to the stay. The staff are extremely friendly, and the transfer service worked smoothly, despite a short waiting time at Phuket Airport. Overall, it is a fantastic place to stay.

This was my fifth time staying at this amazing resort, and it truly feels like coming home every time. The staff remembered me right away and made everything effortless from the moment I arrived. We took the boat tour through all the caves this time — absolutely unforgettable. The scenery was straight out of a dream, and our guide made the whole experience even more fun. We also rented mopeds and rode around the island, discovering hidden beaches and quiet little spots to stop for drinks. It’s the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. The rooms are spotless, the food is always fresh and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere is exactly what you hope for when you escape to paradise. Highly recommend this place to anyone — but fair warning, once you’ve been here, you’ll keep coming back just like I do.

Due to circumstances, we booked this resort for one night. It's a beautiful location that deserves a 5/5 rating. The rooms are very basic, teeming with mosquitoes, and there's a mosquito net (full of holes), which didn't keep them out. The room gets a 1/5. Breakfast was provided, but we noticed there was no manager present. The staff tried their best, but their very poor English made communication very difficult. If you pay €580 for one night, you expect more service and quality. There really needs to be a manager present. We mentioned these points at checkout, but the receptionist didn't understand anything, again due to poor English.

We had an unforgettable family holiday at Koyao Island Resort. Good friends had stayed there two years ago, and highly recommended it to us. All reviews highlighting excellent meals and facilities are true. We arrived at the tail end of the rainy season and were not as lucky with the weather as we’d hoped we’d be, but the staff set up a movie for the children on one particularly soggy afternoon, and it frankly was warm enough for them to swim or play on the beach even in the rain. All staff were friendly, helpful and very kind to the children. Manager made a point of chatting with all guests at various times of day, not intrusive at all, was very helpful and friendly. We had a lovely family beach villa that was plenty spacious enough for the five of us. Staff gave it a thorough cleaning every day. The only annoyance, and this has nothing to do with the resort itself, were the omnipresent mosquitoes. I’m sure this is due to the proximity of the beautiful mangrove forest on site, so not much can be done without interfering with the ecosystem. Staff provided a natural repellent spray, routinely lit mosquito coils and provided electric swatters, nets around the beds were helpful at night. But, despite our friends’ warning, I hadn’t been prepared for the quantity of mosquitoes. Again, not attributable to the resort itself, but: my husband was a little disappointed by the murky sea. We had seen photos of crystal clear Thai waters in the region and expected to find the same at our hotel’s beach, but a local dive master explained that currents activate a lot of silt so visibility is generally poor. Our snorkel gear was unused over 10 days except for on one day boat trip. This was the perfect introduction to Thailand for my preteen children and we are grateful for the excellent experience we had at Koyao Island Resort.
