A great guesthouse! We chose this option because of its proximity to the Okuno in cemetery and it was one of the best choices we've made! The landlord explained us so many things about the city, gave us many advices and all his recommendations were always accurate. The place is very clean, cosy and spacious. We also could enjoy free warm tea and coffee, which was really appreciated after the 6am morning prayer. Highly recommended!

What a great place! Koyasan can be over the top expensive, but kokuu is a great affordable option. I was there after completing the Shikoku 88 pilgrimage, and affordable was important to me. The capsule was just what you'd expect, and very comfortable. They also have small rooms available. And, bonus, it's really close to Okunoin. Ryochi is a fantastic host. The dinner and breakfast were both fantastic with some of the better coffee I had in Japan. I'd definitely stay there again.

This guesthouse is cozy and clean. The guesthouse is equipped with heater when is cold weather. Also, the shared bathroom and shower room are very clean! We booked the only private room for the guesthouse which is very suitable for couple like us. Lastly, we were so regret that we didn’t order their curry as our dinner. So, people if you going to stay here, please don’t missed this chance to try their curry which is smell soooo good during that night!!

An experience staying at this guesthouse which was designed with high ceiling offering pods/capsule style accommodation and a double room with a bunker bed.||I like that the place is painted in white which brightens up the place.||The owner Ryushi is helpful and they offered a great breakfast set deal at ¥1000. Delicious.|There are 2 toilets and showers share and simple amenities are provided.||A great place to stay if one is in Koyasan on a temple tour.

A gem in Japan. We were welcomed by the lovely William who provided us with so much information about the area. The guest house and our double bunk room was great; clean, cosy. We've travelled the world extensively and this is the best shared bathroom experience we've had. Clean, comfortable. Breakfast was our best in Japan. And Ryochi, the owner, cooked us fabulous evening meals. The location is also very good. Ideal for a sunrise/sunset walk in the cemetery and for joining monks for 6am prayers. Highly recommend

The rooms are very small and pod style but we're very comfy. The staff were so friendly and the design of the place is very clean and thoughtful. They had a vegan option for dinner, free water, free tea and coffee. The owner gave us a map with suggestions of places to go. Very chilled out and peaceful atmosphere. The beautiful cemetery is right next door and they even had free hair conditioner in the showers. I would definitely stay there again.

Great cosy space right next to okunion, very convenient for the 6am prayers. The architecture of the space is very inspiring, and great to have an affordable stay option in Koyasan for lower budget travellers. The team is super friendly and provides good guidance.
