I can't think of a better hotel in Kiev, I visited 2021, sorry for the late review but I got pissed by the other people commenting. while browsing randomly. The location is the best location you could think of, you can get car parking and this is the Maydan, don't forget it.. downstairs there is Billa supermarket in the metro station, staff is super friendly and organized a trip to Chernobyl for the next day for my group...I really don't understand most of the people reviewing here complaining that it is old and soviet... in my view this is a way to experience old soviet times for free without paying for a museum...the door got broken and the service guy immediately repaired it! The room was huge and also included a bathtub . You can drink your wine with the best view of the Maydan uninterrupted and then go to bed.... If i could select 10 stars i would do it. The pic is shot right from my room balcony!

Everything inside this hotel is of Soviet style, remarkable and at the city center. Great place to be, if you prefer retro hotel to stay. People are friendly and they do speak English. Metro is just minutes away. The bathroom is an old soviet style bathtub.

This place is not the Hilton, it is very basic, there are some things that are tired. I had trouble with the lock on the door till I figured it out. But reception were very good and offered another room if i wanted there is no safe but security will look after valuable if wanted. Reception are very helpful and speak English. Bedding is changed daily and is nice and clean Breakfast has a good choice of foods, again very basic but free. Who would complain. Advantage very close to all things, Shopping, Nightlife, and food of all tastes. Disadvantages no credit card payment facilities at reception you need cash. But card machines everywhere.

The breakfast and restaurant are good and the staff friendly. However, the hotel does not provide wash cloths for showering and I was grossed out when one of the cleaning ladies switched out my toilet cleaning brush and then without washing her hands, changed my bedding including pillow cases. I wanted to scream but kept it on the inside.

Great location bang in the center. Great views all around, but the rooms and service needs a major overhaul. Good for one night halt to admire the best fountain ⛲ views and be closest to the centre to get a feel of the place. Abundance of eating options in the vicinity.

This hotel meets my needs fully, regarding value for money and location.||||It is a fairly ok 3 star hotel. It is not up to date decorations and standard, but here you can get a suite with a great view cheaper than other hotels standard room.||||From Your windows you will see the Maiden square where it all happened in 2014.||||Out of the door YOU are in walkable distance to very much. Or You can ask the reception to call you an UBER (because taxis in the street will for sure overcharge YOU - much).||||All rooms are equipped with Aircondition - in summer (May - Sep) this is needed.

This place is perfectly reasonable. I agree with other comments that say the hotel is a little dated, it's design and some of its fixtures and fittings are but there is an element of charm to this. We had a "Superior Double" room. It had everything we needed and was clean throughout. With the exception of 2 out of 3 bathroom bulbs everything worked fine. A couple of little niggles were evident; for reasons I never figured, I wanted a shower upon arrival but the water was cold. The rest of the stay however it was nice and warm. The bigger issue was the duvet, which seemed too small for the bed, like a double duvet on a king bed (but it was a double bed). This meant the wife and I struggled to both get under it and keep warm. It was rather weird. Otherwise, the staff were all friendly and charming. Most spoke some English and signs were printed in English too. The location is right in the centre of Kyiv so excellently placed.

Second time in this hotel and we had a big suit overlooking the Independence square. Clean but a little old inside. Great breakfast and nice helpful staff. ||Only bad thing, you can't pay your stay with card.
