Kōzo Kigali Restaurant

5 out of 5!! Seriously such an amazing place! Probably some of the best cocktails we’ve had in Kigali and we love cocktails! The food was amazing to pair with! The service was attentive and very friendly. The atmosphere was absolutely stunning. We will definitely be back here and recommend to any going!

Very tasty and unique presentation. I loved all of the dishes I ordered - pork and prawn spring roll had a cool lightly fried outer texture, the grilled chicken wrap was fresh and the orange crème brûlée was my favorite- just the right amount of bright orange zest to cream. Well portioned servings, 1 starter and 1 salad was plenty for me. Drink was great too. Very nice decor and lots of different outside nooks.

Kozo doesn't disappoint! The service is excellent as is the food and the vibe! Reservations highly recommended; actually a must as it's very popular. I loved the slow cooked lamb which was as flavourful as described on the menu --again highly recommended as the hazelnut dessert!

Disappointed and annoyed. Our appetizers were mediocre at best: the tempura prawns were soggy and unseasoned and the cauliflower was served lukewarm and was not fresh so had a rubbery texture. Two of our three main courses were inedible: the curry vegetable was very sweet and had a very strong flavor of anise and served with sweetened rice more like a dessert. The snapper was not fresh and tasted like it might make me sick so I could not eat it. We were billed for everything even the dishes we could not eat and no one apologized or inquired whether anything could be done about it. The waitstaff were attentive and friendly and the decor was nice enough but we were swarmed by mosquitoes and the bathroom is very dark and not clean smelling. I will most certainly not return.

Theft. What a horrible experience. Writhing in pain from the stomach ache this meal caused. Do not come here. I am shocked that they are allowed to charge people for food so horrible that we could not even eat it. Not to mention the festering cesspool of a fountain that created clouds of mosquitos. I want those two hours of my life back.

The prawn is extremely disappointing: not fresh, mushy, mealy, and HIGHLY overpriced. The portion is tinny and the price is almost 7x higher comparing to the price in Asia. Good atmosphere but not a place for food.

Amazing food time after time. Tasty and unique sushi rolls, something really cool in Kigali! Friendly and attentive team. The dessert left me speechless! Must try!
