KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot

The food and service here is amazing. We came here on a Friday morning and got seated right away. Our server Kalen was amazing. Even though we know our way around typical kbbq and hotpot spots, she was still helpful and gave great suggestions. The kbbq and hotpot quality is stellar. So much variety and for an affordable price. Highly recommend for anyone new to trying kbbq and hotpot. Even better if you get Kalen as your server. She is stellar at her job and super friendly.

First time ever going to a Korean BBQ spot and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere alone was great. The food was even better. Had a variety of choices whether it'd be seafood, pure meat or vegetables. For a 2-hour all you can eat prices very much worth it. Our server Skyler was amazing. He was able to talk us through the whole process he stayed on top of our drinks making sure none of us are left out. Even had great recommendations and tips when it came down to it. Even though the place was packed, our food came out in less than 15 minutes, almost instantly. They also have a little birthday song and dance. They do which my lovely wife was the victim of. Absolute 10 out of 10 would recommend and we will be going there again.

My wife and I took a chance visiting and we're not disappointed. Service was excellent and Jazmine explained things very well. She took our initial order for drinks and food items. The drinks came out quickly. This is a Korean style Barbeque were you cook the items you select from their menu. Each table has several burners and a central grill in the table for everyone to cook their own food to their preferred level. You can order more of the same, or different proteins or vegetables as you go along. A bar is provided to make your own dipping sauce from a selection of ingredients. So it's easy to mix and match things to different food items. Sometimes in the near future they will be moving to a larger place. Business must be good, the food certainly was. We look forward to going back in the future. Give them a try. It's a nice dining experience.

This was a very fun place to eat. We had a really great experience. My daughter is leaving tomorrow to go to college and this was the perfect place to have dinner with her. Our server Kerry was great and helped us understand how to order as I have not been to a Korean hot pot before. 5 out of 5 would recommend

We chose this spot to host our daughter’s birthday dinner (party of 10) and being our first time experiencing KPOT, I must say I was very impressed with the whole experience! Sofia our waitress went above and beyond to explain everything to us and assisted the children at the separate table throughout the evening! She was great and this was some of the best service we’ve received in a long time! Our daughters really enjoyed the birthday song and spinning the wheel for a birthday surprise! Great experience and highly recommended!

KPOT Korean BBQ on Harbison Blvd is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Columbia! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, lively, and welcoming. The space is modern, clean, and has a great vibe whether you're there for a casual dinner or a celebration with friends. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish we tried was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The quality of the meats was excellent, and the variety available made it easy to try a bit of everything. I especially loved the marinated prime brisket and the spicy pork belly — so good! What really made the experience special was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. They made sure our grill was clean, our drinks were filled, and that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Their service truly elevated the whole experience. If you're in the Columbia area and love Korean BBQ or are just looking to try something new, I highly recommend checking out KPOT. I can’t wait to come back again!

We came in with a party of 10 and Sophia was AMAZING. She was professional, patient, and so helpful—especially with the kids and the cooking process. She truly went above and beyond and made our experience unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back!

My brother treated me to Korean BBQ at the KPOT on Harbison Blvd, and the experience was phenomenal. It was my first time in a restaurant like this and our server Maaliq demonstrated exceptional customer service, being friendly, courteous and helpful. He was knowledgeable about the food, and also offered to help us cook or show us the best way to cook our selections if we desired. My brother had a bad experience at a different Korean bbq where the server loomed over the table and insisted on cooking everything himself, and he was delighted at the service he received today with Maaliq. The food itself was also delicious. We started with prime brisket and chicken bulgogi, then KPOT pork belly and garlic shrimp. My brother liked the garlic shrimp enough that he ordered a second serving, and I finished with some spicy beef bulgogi. We had many different vegetables as well, everything was fresh, and wonderfully portioned with each serving. The price was also great for what we had. We went during lunch time so it was a little cheaper than dinner, but is still all you can eat. For both my brother and I, it was around $55 which was a steal for the amount we ate. I’d certainly recommend trying this place out.

I went to K-Pot for the first time yesterday. The food was okay, the server keep bringing up this 2 hour thing. We couldn't figure out if he was saying to hours to complete our order or 2 hours before we had to leave but I guess it was 2 hours to leave because at 1 hour and 50 minutes, he came with the ticket. There's a sign up front that said 20% discount for Military and Veterans on Thursdays and 10% discount all other days. My husband and I are veterans but when we asked for our 10% discount (this is a Wednesday) he told us the discount is only for active military and it only on Thursdays. When we pointed out that it said 10% all other days, he still insisted that it was for active military. So there was no discount on our $115 ticket and he pre-selected a 20% tip for himself. 3 stars only for the food.

Food was delicious, delivered quickly and our waiter Keyontaye checked on us to make sure our grill was always hot and good

I went for my older daughter's birthday, her choice. We did both kpot and bbq and as usual it was delicious . First time having the soup-ramen and that was delicious also. I enjoy coming here and our waitress bayleigh was so sweet and helpful. She was very attentive such a pleasure. Can't wait to go back.!!! Ambiance is nice

The food was good and the staff was friendly but a little slow. Had a great time and tried a ton of meat options for the price. However, I was supposed to receive a $50 credit to my credit card and never received it even after calling them a week later with my receipt number. They were supposed to have credited it right then but still hasn't been done.

Andy was our server today and she was amazing. She was very prompt with orders and the food was phenomenal.

Always great and friendly! We come here almost every week and always have such great service. They play A good mix of music and the good is always so good.

I hate giving 1 star reviews, but this place was utterly disappointing. We came from Myrtle Beach which is almost a 3 hour drive to eat here for Dinner. We're originally from GA So that is a 4.5hr drive in general. We got in here 2.5 hours before the restaurant closed. We only did the Korean barbecue, and I'm really glad we did because it was the hot pot was an upcharge and the service was terrible . You would think they would still have a lot of food. It took half an hour for the server to bring our drinks. The sauce bar the cold side dish bar was fine, but the hot appetizers were never refilled. There was only chicken nuggets and french fries left over, and a few mini sausages. You know they've been on the buffet for a long time when you're chicken nuggets are rock hard. By the one hour before closing mark, my server tells me that they're gonna start closing the kitchen in 30 mins so if we want more meat, we have to get it now. However, they kept bringing us small portions of meat, the red brisket in the photo is apparently six servings. How is that six servings that looks like maybe two! I asked them to bring out more servings so we have meat before they close the kitchen. It's almost as if they were doing it on purpose because they did not bring us any extra meat. It felt like they kept giving us only two portions. My theory is whoever has to cut. The meat was just too lazy to cut it. Their grill was terrible! Honestly, the grills look like they were made out of thick aluminum. When I told the server our meat kept sticking on the grill. he said I have to put oil on it. ONE) I shouldn't have to put oil on it if the grill can get properly hot, and TWO) I already did because he put it on the table and it still stuck. It took us 20 minutes to cook brisket, that's ridiculous because it usually cooks in under five minutes everywhere else. We complained to the server that our stove was not heating properly and he said well I put it all the way high. You just have to wait. He absolutely sucked. He made our experience so frustrating. Can you imagine driving almost 3 hours to go to a restaurant for dinner and they just dismiss you and treated you like utter garbage. It was such a frustrating atmosphere, and I generally felt like we weren't asking for much. Better service, more food, please. Other tables were getting their meat cooked a lot faster, I couldn't even cook the LA Galbi because the heat wasn't high enough. I was just so frustrated at our server because he purposely kept skipping our table or just walked around the restaurant, not even going to the other tables to avoid having to serve . When I asked another server for something because we also didn't get utensils until half an hour in, she said I had to wait for our server. I get we came two hours before closing on a Saturday night, but they were not even busy. I honestly think we were the last table. Everyone was just being lazy. I'm not sure if I would ever go to another KPOT, I do like the concept where you can have hot pot and Korean barbecue, but this is like my third time going to a KPOT, I went to the one in Alabama, Georgia, and now South Carolina. They all seem to have terrible service. The grill is terrible, and the food is very plain. I do hope the next time I get dragged to KPOT, I have a better experience.

I chose the bed grill. Excellent options to choose from and love the kimchi as well just a perfect amount of fermentation. Having to cook does help me enjoy the food more and avoid binge eating at an AYCE. I sis have some waste anxiety so I had to be very carful and respect the policy. Will be back.

July 2 Party of 8. First time eating here. Andy was an amazing server. She explained the do's and don'ts without making us feel like first timers. Emphasized safety around the cooking surfaces with the right amount of humor that we felt comfortable. Overall, a good experience. next time we go we will definitely insist on sitting in Andy's section, even if it means waiting a little for a table to open.

The girl kept sticking with all our food Food was okay didn't taste the best no flavor was super disappointed food was fake meat , fake crab , shrimp was filled with poop and other things steak taste cheap only good thing was these strawberry cakes . definitely won't be coming back it was super expensive. For low rated food I will say k pot has very nice decor and others super nice place for decor and all and service is pleasant

We came on a Saturday around 6 in the evening. The wait was only about 25-30 which is good for a weekend. We waited less than the wait time but honestly it went by pretty fast either way. Our server was great and the food came out pretty fast once its order so the wait time in between was not long. They also have a small food bar which had fried chicken, fried shrimp, French fries, onion rings, and a seafood boil. So even if there was a lag in time with the food you have to option to go get items from there before hand. The sauce bar has all kind of sauces you can think of and if you are not for sure what to make they have combinations already made up you can pick from and make yourself. My favorite is the sweet and spicy. You would think that because there's a lot of traffic going to and from the sauce bar it would be messy but it wasn't. The sauce and food bar are kept clean and stocked. We ended up getting some fried chicken from the bar and it was amazing. It's was fried golden and crispy! A great way to just start it off but just don't get full from it. Once our food came out it went down though (in a good way). Everyone was silent at that point chowing down on everything. We I say we left full, we left full and satisfied with everything. The experience was fun and it's great even for groups. It was four in our group tonight but they do charge 18% gratuity to groups five or more. If you go on your birthday like the actually date you can get your meal free if you go with a group of four or more.

I have been wanting to try Korean (or Chinese) Hot Pot for a long time. So I was very excited when I saw that this Korean barbecue and hot pot place had opened. As for Korean BBQ, this place has an incredible selection of meat and vegetables that you can grill. The only downside to the Korean barbecue is that the grill is a hot plate and not over coals, which I think charcoal gives the meat a better flavor. I decided to try both the Korean barbecue and the hot pot now at night for dinner and on the weekends the Korean BBQ or hot pot is $30 . If you want to try both, it only cost five dollars more so 35 to try both. I feel like that was a really good deal. No, this is an all you can eat restaurant so if you have more than one person and someone wants to try the Korean BBQ and someone wants to try the soup everyone at the table has to pay for both ($35), since it is likely that everyone will be sharing. I was by myself so my cost was $35 . Unfortunately they do not have an alcohol license yet but they do have a bar set up with some beer tops so it looks like they are trying to apply for an alcohol license being able to drink a nice cold beer with my hot pot would be amazing. Nevertheless, I ordered the Schezuan hot pot soup base and it was amazing. It wasn't melt your face off spicy, but it definitely gave you that hot tingly and numb feeling if you fit into a Szechuan peppercorn. The broth was very flavorful and gave great flavor to the meat and the mushrooms were a really great avenue for soaking up all that flavor. I ordered five different kinds of mushrooms plus some water crest because they were out of bok choy as well as about six or seven different types of meat . The only meat that I was a bit disappointed in was the smoked pork belly. It had great smoky flavor, but the fat on it tended to make it a little bit chewy. The rest of the meats were excellent, very thinly sliced so that they cooked quickly. There is a two hour time limit for eating as this is an all you can eat restaurant and they do tell you on the menu that they have the right to charge extra if you leave a lot of uneaten food . And as with all " all you can eat" restaurants you cannot take any of the food home with you. Anyway, I think this is a very affordable way to enjoy an excellent hot pot. There are many many choices for meats and vegetables and it's just a great great meal.

Pretty cool restaurant! Didn't take much pictures inside by the decor is beautiful! Our service was good and she was really pleasant! The food is brought to you table side which is great so you avoid extra germs from others at buffet style . I do think you get more money from the hot pot vs bbq due to most things being spicy ( unless you like spicy) ! Grill pineapple is the best.

I've been to this Kpot a few times and they always have amazing service. I've had Adrian as my server twice and every time they've been super attentive and helpful when we have questions about the menu. The food is always fresh and they rarely have anything unavailable. The actual restaurant is also very nice. But if you come later on the weekend the noise is definitely a bit overwhelming.

Late review! Went to the first day of Kpot AYCE (all you can eat for one price) $29.99 for dinner (adults) & $19.99 for lunch (adults). We were super excited, we have been to the Kpot in NJ and loved going there. So finally happy we have one in Columbia, Sc. You have the option of choosing just hot pot or Korean bbq if you want to do both you can it is an extra charge to do both. Your choice! I'll start with wait time for a table they estimated 20 mins or so but we got in within 10 mins! Atmosphere the interior was super clean and trendy loves the music and vibes here. The hotpot and grill tables were very well made and easy to control. Customer Service was the best I have had in a while! The waiters and waitresses and even the managers were all so friendly and quick with our orders. Never once were we out of food at any point. Shoutout to Jia for being an amazing waitress and making sure we had everything we needed. Also Tony and Matt were also so attentive and personable. Thanks for making our experience at this Kpot the best. Food was so well plated and the quality of the veggies and meats were perfectly cut too! Very impressed with all of it. Loved the unlimited meats, veggies, seafood, rice cakes, noodles, tofu, etc... Tips: Make sure to choose your broth, I'm a huge fan of the Szechuan broth and the miso! Don't forget to go to the sauce bar and make your sauce to dip your meats and veggies etc... We will definitely be regulars here!

Everything was amazing as always! Andy, Keyon and Victoria were wonderful. They made our experience very enjoyable. We love coming here. The food was well marinated and came out promptly. The atmosphere was so much fun. We even enjoyed in a birthday shout out which is always fun. We will definitely be returning.

We are new to Sc and a coworker recommended this place and it didn't let us down! There was a 20 min wait upon arrival so we sat at the bar to wait and grabbed a couple drinks. We tried the strawberry Hennessy and the Island Punch, the STRAWBERRY Hennessy was our favorite! The bartender was super friendly hand gave some great suggestions! Our server Noel was great as well, she explained the menu and options very well since it was our first time there. Food came pretty fast after she entered our order. We really enjoyed all the flavorful menu items. If you like spicy food like me try the Hot Pot w Szechuan broth, so good! This location is also conveniently located and adorned w Kpot teddy bears around the restaurant.

Finally got myself over here to try them, we went during the week for lunch. It wasn't too busy at 12:45pm, which is nice, we could enjoy the ambiance, and relax as we perused the menu, ordered our soup bases : miso, and Spicy Sichuan. We tried the prime beef, and an array of seafood, veggies and sides. The good I really liked their self serve sauce bar, and limited selection of sides vegetables, desserts, and fried treats (hush puppies, chicken nuggets, and spring rolls) The soup bases were veryyyyyyy flavorful a bit heavy with the sodium, I wouldn't mind it being a little less salty. But the flavor is present, rather than just a bland broth base, which is good. At $19.99 for lunch not a bad deal for AYCE. Our real MVP was our server Julie, shoutout to this amazing young lady. She was very attentive, very nice, and patient, explaining to the process to us, checking on us continuously throughout our meal to make sure we got all our orders, and everything tasted good. I will say their kitchen servers and runners were efficient/speedy in bringing out our additional orders (bonus)! We didn't have to wait more than a minute or so, one of the perks of coming during non rush hours :)... The server also mentioned that they have a limited winter seafood menu of snowcrabs, etc. for the month of December, it is currently offered at dinner prices ($29.99) I appreciate that lunch hours are honored between 12-3:59pm Dinner 4pm to close, and all day Saturday & Sundays. The one drawback is that we need to continuously place an order either with our server, or on a tablet to get extra sides, proteins, etc. I don't know about others, but I can imagine the tablet not being the most sanitary thing, and kind of cumbersome when you're eating to have to touch the screen to get more items, and one downside is they place a 5 minute turnover between orders, which I think is "time-gating" in a way that's not appreciated if you already limit our time to 100 minutes. They also state on their menu that any excess food will be charged if they see waste. I think you should pick and choose what limitations or expectations you have of your patrons. Overall great place, there's a nice selection of options and variety for their hotpot, I did take a look at their KBBQ options and for lunch it felt weak, I would recommend checking their dinner KBBQ option if you do opt for it. Another bonus if you want to do both BBQ & Hotpot, it's $5/more on top of lunch/dinner prices. It's safe to say we shall be back :)

I haven't tried a spot that has both Korean BBQ AND Hot Pot so I was really excited to find this place. The food was delicious and our server was amazing. Explained to us how everything works there, made recommendations for the all you can eat meats, and assisted us with getting our first couple of BBQ servings cooked. He also let us know there should be a KPot opening close to where we live, so we won't have to drive out this far just for dinner. Will have to come back soon.

Bring your appetite. Definitely worth a try. Loved the kimchi, pickled daikon and the spicy pork belly! Service could have been better and this place needs a better selection of Korean beers to go with the Korean BBQ.

Great night out with friends. This restaurant was a total experience from the decor to the ambience! Great selections of proteins, and the flavorful soup bases. Restaurant was clean and welcoming with ample parking and the staff was very informative and nice. I would say my favorite part about the experience is that they have multiple sauces a few fried items hot bar. But the ribs and the Beloki beef and the smoked garlic pork belly are absolutely outstanding.

Had a great time at Kpot and gorged on the AYCE hot pot. Andy, our server, was awesome with her promptness, customer service and helpfulness. 10/10!

KPOT was pretty decent. I thought the hot pot was better than the Korean grill/BBQ. However, I thought it was very expensive (about $30/person or $35 for for soup and the bbq). The food was good quality just not sure it was worth the price. Service was very attentive and friendly though.

Definitely a vibe. Make sure that you don't let your eyes be bigger than your stomach there is a waste charge but so many meat option so be strategic. Service was amazing and being our first time for an impromptu girls night the waiter was very informative. Will definitely go back as a group because it's just more fun that way

I have visited twice now and enjoyed my food and my service both times. During my last visit my server was a nice gentleman named Paris he did a great job. I went after lunch on a Thursday. I was seated immediately and the restaurant was nice and quiet. I Will definitely be back again.

This was our first time here and Lorena made it quite simple to understand. She help us pick the meats for our dishes and also comments ," good choice on our other picks. She smiled and made us feel comfortable. She also checked to make sure we were satisfied with the choices. We will be back again.

my husband and I went to the one in St Andrews, Columbia,SC for lunch. First time and we informed the waiter it was our first. We discover you cook your food at your table. The menu gave no instructions on the process. The server offered to help, but his directions were not clear. " You'll understand as we go along.". It was a long wait before the ingredients finally arrived. The waiter showed us how to cook but he did the foods in the wrong order... meat was done way before veggie. They forgot some of my selection and I was finished eating before they brought them. No offer of beverage refills and no offer of a fork instead of chop sticks. Not an enjoyable, over priced meal. We will not be returning. And now my husband isn't feeling well!!!

Excellent food and service. The service was awesome and they were very knowledgeable and the portion of them meat was generous.

One of the worst experiences. The table didn't work properly. The first round the meat was burnt. They had trouble switching out the hot plate. They had to switch the entire thing. The next plate didn't get hot for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, the meat was just boiling on top. Not sizzling. One manager agreed the table wasn't working properly. Another manager came back and offered us 20% off our next visit. I would absolutely never return. $215 wasted. For a terrible experience. Please avoid. There are many more options, with way better customer service.

You'll need to prepare to work hard to cook lol but food is great. Good selection! A great option for a party or two or more!

A special dinner with family who are fans of Korean BBQ. It was a great experience and so delicious it makes the head dance. Maaliq our server was attentive whom took the experience up a notch.

I ordered lobster from here and was served imitation lobster which it was not labeled correctly by law. There could be no real lobster in this but only lobster broth for flavoring which makes you wonder what are you eating entirely?

Awesome staff everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. We got the hot pot Thai which has a sweet taste and Szechuan very spicy I love it. Great service and she checked on us several times. My son loves trying new things and this was a great after school spot to sit and eat with your family and just talk. They have a small side Buffett with onion rings, nuggets, fries, egg rolls for kids. They are awesome about taking stuff off if it is not used such as the kid buffet.

Our server Andy was great! It was our first time and she helped us a lot. Food was good, but it was very noisy and our party did not get to talk much.

K-Pot is a great experience, the food is also great as well as the atmosphere. The wait wasn't very long and they were all very accommodating. Our waiter, Tahvez was attentive and welcoming. I highly recommend him! I will say that our grill wasn't working and we had to move. The experience was great until then. We moved to the other side and new waiter, Dep. She completely forgot about us and admitted it. We had to ask the manager to bring out our food.

Not worth it unless you really just want the experience. Cost - $32 per person or more. Out the door for dinner is $160ish with waters and pot only (with tip). Bruh.... Food - Meh. We tried the pot (flavored broth) with a variety of proteins and sides. The beef was ok but what stunk was the shrimp were whole (head and all). Trying to peel a whole head on shrimp (no deveining or back cut) stunk. Service - the person who served our table acted like we interrupted something important going on. Concept - i guess it is different but someone burned their hand enough to make the rest of their dinner a disappointment. I would not go back.

I got the hot pot and got sick shortly after eating here, and I know it wasn't an issue with the meat being under cooked because my meat stayed in the pot for about 20min. The service was also terrible. We waited for almost 30min for someone to take our order, and when we did they consistently brought us out the wrong food. They brought out our tray of veggies twice, because we had three different servers who obviously were not communicating well with each other. They still charged us for the veggies we couldn't eat, even though we didn't order them in the first place. I was a server in college, and the servers there were obviously over worked, and not given sections. I feel bad that they have to work at a place like this.

Delicious and nutritious food delivered with good service. We have been fans for 5 years as we frequented locations in NJ and were excited to have this now in our new home of SC. If you get Akina as your server you are lucky, she is attentive and smiles with pleasure to serve. If you have any issues Tony the manager ia eager to make aure any issues are addressed and you are taken care of. I wish more restaurants would have a manager like Tony. This place just opened and we have been 3 times in 2 weeks.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon with a party of 5. Service was above excellent. He was very friendly and helpful. Service was prompt. Food was delicious. Hot bar was good as well. Small menu option for children but still good. Restaurant was clean. I only wish they had rice paper. Overall I'd definitely come back.
