I visited Amsterdam in March 2022 and stumbled upon this shop. I was in absolute heaven! I had such fun looking through all the pieces to find gifts to give my family when I returned home. The shopkeeper was a joy and shared wonderful stories of the pieces I chose. I picked a miniature decorative mug that he said was made in ~1950s by a retired employee/craftsman of royal delft who continued making their own work at home once retired and this was one of his personal pieces. I’m moving and as I packed this piece, I was reminded of the fond memory and had to share my review. I hope to return to Amsterdam and spend more time in your lovely store!

I recently visited the Antique Store and was amazed by the selection of vintage items. The shopkeeper was knowledgeable and friendly, and was eager to answer any questions I had. Prices were little bit higher and I found some great pieces that I will be sure to treasure. I would highly recommend the Antique Store to anyone looking for unique and interesting items!

Earrings stone were glued to it and they were literally 170 euros. I came back to make a refund but I was told that they don’t provide a refund, which is absolutely not true as all people in Netherlands are protected by consumers right to return purchases within 14 days of receipt without giving any reason. I still try my best to get my money, I asked if they can give it to me in cash but they refuse to do it because apparently they don’t have cash. Asian lady told me that she will ask for owner and he will assist me with my inquiry, so this man comes up to me who eventually told us that he is not the owner and that owner is on holiday right now. They tried get rid of the glue at the back but it didn’t end up nice and seamless as I expected the glue was a the front of the earrings as well which they didn’t manage to remove. I refuse to take it back and continue to ask for the refund, after 25 minutes they told me that apparently the reason they can’t do it is that the card machine won’t allow it, and the only way I can get my money back is to leave my card details. I was travelling with my friends and obviously it was risky for me. At the end I decided to exchange my purchases and left unhappy with a small vase. Vase was 150 pounds they gave me change in cash.

I want to describe a terrible experience I had at this store yesterday. purchased a candleholder. After checking with experts I realized that the salesperson lied to me badly and outwardly. I was looking specifically for a Holland-made traditional piece. The salesperson (a dark-haired tall woman, don’t know here name) assured me that the piece is original made in Holland. I asked her at least 3 times because it was very important to me to buy an original piece. And she said absolutely and assured its Holland-made (even though the bottom did not haven’t a Holland-made stamp) each time. She charged me 110 euro for it (at first she wanted to charge me 140 euro!) When I got back and consulted with experts, i learned this is a modern China-made mass production that should be priced between 15 and 25 euro max. I did have doubts when in the store, that’s why I asked her several times. I trusted her expertise, and she lied to me, probably thinking I’m an idiot tourist that she can fool. I have a receipt, and photos of that piece as a proof. This was not even misleading, but an outward lie repeated multiple times. It’s unacceptable business practices. I would recommend avoiding purchasing anything from that store if possible. There are so many other antique stores in Amsterdam with better morale and ethics.

Very beautiful store where you can find a mix of antique and more recent ceramics, for all budgets. The staff is super nice and very honest. I suggest it!

CAUTION! : This place is a tourist trap. Items are overpriced and can be found my more than 50% cheaper just one more block down the street. Friendly staff yet left disappointed with this experience. Sad lesson to be learned so here to warn you all at my expense.

This antique store is stuffed to the brim with a wonderful assortment of pieces - there's something for everyone! They have particularly impressive collections of painted tiles...there has to be at least a thousand of them on their shelves! Be prepared to do a bit of digging if you have a lower budget, though; it seemed like all the tiles I loved were dated from the 1600-1700s and over €200! Which is absolutely fair pricing, but I was very surprised to learn that I have expensive taste! 😆🫠 Their assortment of KLM delft houses is also impressive - I really wanted one and they have so many to pick from! I was surprised to find that the house was still sealed with the liquor inside; I didn't think to check for that in the store and was very happy that airport security let it slide! 🤣 All in all this antique store is absolutely worth a visit, especially if you're looking for less conventional or more unique souvenirs!
