Krapi Hotel is much better than its name might suggest (in English). We stayed in the cabin with a private sauna, which was a fantastic choice. The cabin is very private, spacious, and offers a gorgeous view of the lake. The bed is comfortable, and the double shower after the sauna is definitely a plus. The only downside is the air conditioning, which is quite loud and doesn’t seem to work very well.
Breakfast was generous and delicious. The surroundings are beautiful, with some charming small museums nearby and lovely forest trails, although a significant portion has been cleared for golf courses. Unfortunately, the lake was full of algae, making it uninviting and not recommended for swimming. This isn’t the hotel’s fault, but it’s a shame and likely a common issue in summer.
The specific cabin we stayed in is a 12-minute walk from the reception, so it’s better to have a car if you have heavy bags (first stop at the reception, then the cabin). Uber picked us up without any problems for a short ride back to the airport.
