"Founded in 1898, Krema Nut Co. in the Columbus neighborhood of Grandview Heights is celebrated for its hand-rolled buckeyes and the delectable Buckeye Crunch. The buckeyes are meticulously crafted with stabilized peanut butter and dipped in chocolate. The Buckeye Crunch features caramel corn enrobed in a peanut butter confection, then drizzled with chocolate, striking the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Walk in, and the first thing you’ll notice is the warm, inviting aroma of roasting nuts. Behind the retail space lies a small factory where the magic happens. Krema Nut Co. not only sells nuts, nut butters, and snacks but also operates as the oldest peanut butter company still in business in America. At the heart of the company are the nuts and their renowned peanut butter. “We’re making all-natural peanut butter. We take the number one fancy grade Spanish peanut, put them in a dry roaster. Once they’ve cooked and cooled, our blanching machine takes off the skin, takes out the heart, and then it goes into this giant bin waiting to be ground into peanut butter,” explains owner Brian Guinta, who works alongside his father, Mike; his sister, Lisa Sayre; and his wife, Jacquie Guinta." - Wendy Pramik

Google
Honestly some of the best “natural” nut butter I’ve had, plus it’s made locally and more affordable——honestly a no brainer! Also, the staff may just be one of the kindest groups of people I’ve met, haha. Always super warm and friendly! 😊

I've been purchasing Smuckers Natural Creamy Peanut Butter from Kroger, as its ingredients are only peanuts and salt. However, I recently discovered that Smuckers donated money to create Project 2025. So knowing Krema is a locally owned company I decided that I would take the effort to visit their store and purchase my peanut butter from them. One advantage is that the stock rotates so quickly, that very little oil has a chance to separate.

Google
Amazing products, service, service and presentation!! We are so delighted to have discovered Krema Nut Co! We found their products to be delicious beyond our expectations. PLUS we have been totally impressed by their professionalism and follow-up when utilizing them for special gifting opportunities. We recommend Krema Nut Co 100% to everybody we talk to.

Google
Products are on the high end in terms of cost but quality, in my experience, is there as well. In store (there were kids in so I didn't get photos) is a small shop where you can buy prepackaged nuts, moxes, and other concoctions. I've always had good experiences with their goods. Last time I was in I tried a spicy peanut butter milkshake and it was absolutely delicious - highly recommend. Peppery and delicious.

Google
Great selection of fresh snacks and treats. Great addition to a gift basket. The sandwich and milkshake bar are such a treat! I do wish they still had seating but it's great for grab and go. The bread is amazing!

Google
The PB&Js were FANTASTIC! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. TONS of variety in the shop to choose from. I am still thinking about the Classic Old Timer and Mint Chocolate shake we got. So good!!!

Google
Great little store. I’ve never seen one even close to it, large selection of nuts and goodies. My favorites are their pecans and cashew selection. Candies and crunchy snacks.

Yelp
The store, which sells packaged nuts, candies, spreads and assorted snacks, is great and a part of Columbus' fabric. But this review is about the adjacent sandwich shop, which is also great and a part of Columbus' fabric. In short, get a sandwich, get a shake, and and feel very good about your decision making ability. My favorites are the PB Apple Cheesecake sandwich and Buckeye Milkshake. Yours may be different as they have a slew of options, but they're all good. The only bummer is that the sandwich shop closes in November and December, but make sure you're first in line when it reopens.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Peanut butter paradise! This is a true classic family run small business. Apparently, they are one of the oldest peanut butter manufacturers in the US. The front part of the store is full of bagged nuts, candies, snack mixes, and fudge. They also have a nice variety of gift boxes. The magic happens in the kitchen area off to the left. They make fresh PB sandwiches and ice cream milkshakes. I had the old timer sandwich with spicy peanut butter. The peanut butter was incredible. It is a huge sandwich for $6! The bread was really soft and fresh as well. Staff was so nice and welcoming. What a gem in Grandview.

Eve R.

Yelp
This is, hands down, my favorite local business for savory snacks/nuts and sweet treats. At the holidays, the traffic and parking can be bonkers, but I highly suggest stopping in throughout the year for amazing caramel popcorn, chocolate truffles, and spicy nuts! They have the best peanut butter on earth. Once the weather warms up, I'm going to finally come for lunch and treat myself to a PB&J from their little cafe counter (note that they don't have the cafe counter or milkshakes available during the winter months...or maybe the holidays. I can't exactly remember.) The service is consistently friendly and helpful and the prices are great! Get yourself some of the choc peanut butter buckeye popcorn. Trust me!!

Yelp
This place is an institution for a reason and I'm embarrassed to say I've lived in Columbus half my life and I just made my first visit last week. I've also been back twice since then. The nuts and snacks and candies and goodies--yes, they're awesome. They make great gifts, great treats for yourself, they are amazing. But that's not what this review is all about. This review is about their Peanut Butter and Pickle Sandwich. In elementary school, my mom would occasionally pack a PBP in my lunch and kids would wrinkle their nose and scoff at my sandwich. It feels very validating that Krema has a Peanut Butter and Pickle sandwich on their menu because I AM NOT ALONE in recognizing this delicacy. I opted for white bread and have zero regrets about the carbs, the gluten, the glycemic index...any of that stuff. Zero regrets. The bread is impossibly dense and light at the same time, a softness and light sweetness to it that makes it the perfect delectable carrier for the dreamiest, creamiest peanut butter I have ever consumed in my entire life. And the pickles! They're crisp and salty, the most epic complement to the peanut butter. I shared this sandwich with my mother and she said, "This is better than anything I've ever made you." And although it was the absolute truth I'm glad she said it and not me. We both had a milkshake to wash our sandwiches down, and they are also perfect creations in their own right. Real ice cream, real milk, real ingredients. I plan on going back and trying every single sandwich and milkshake on the menu to make up for all the lost time I wasted by not going there.

Valerie C.

Yelp
Always get the Buckeye Crunch! As a peanut butter place in the heart of Columbus, Kreme really capitalizes on the famed chocolate and peanut butter snack, Buckeyes! They have so many nuts and chocolates and nut butters and it's all so good. The brownie bites have an unexpected crunch. Seems like a candy coating in there. They are tasty! The chocolate maple bourbon pecans are lovely as well. Be careful, you might just spend all your money in here. So many tasty treats to try!

Marissa W.

Yelp
Krema is a hidden gem. They roast their own nuts and have a selection of nuts, candy, and nut butters. I love to stock up on chunky peanut butter and apple butter each time I visit. They often have some seasonal food items to share as gifts. While picking up some peanut butter, be sure to grab a milkshake or sandwich! They use some magic to make a basic peanut butter sandwich taste gourmet. One of my favorites is the apple cheesecake peanut butter sandwich.

Diana P.

Yelp
I didn't even know this company existed until I saw an ad on Facebook for it! Such a cool place. It's tiny, but packed with tons of goodies. Fudge, salted/unsalted nuts, jellies, nut butters, pretzels, candies, and practically every option of chocolate covered nut. Even if you don't order a milkshake or sandwich, it's worth visiting just for the snacks alone. Their sandwich menu is pretty large considering you can customize your own. They have several gourmet options too. I ordered the PB Nana sandwich on wheat bread with crunchy peanut butter. I loved it! The peanut butter was super thiccc and even though there's honey on it, it wasn't sweet. Delicious and filling. I do wish they had dairy alternatives like almond milk for their milkshakes though. I would have ordered one if a dairy free option was available. Regardless, this place is fantastic. I'll definitely be returning!

Gwen W.

Yelp
Smooth Krema homemade peanut butter on both. Niece got The Buckeye on white bread. Chocolate hazelnut spread. I went with The Classic, which has strawberry preserves and fresh strawberry slices packed on top of the pb. Basically, both were euphoria, sandwich-style. Krema gets their bread from local baker Great Harvest. Both the white and wheat were great. Soft, thick/dense and moist. Went perfect with the peanut butter-filling of choice combo. Neither detracted from the nut flavor, nor was overkill. The strawberry preserves was very fruity. Loved the slices of strawberry - an added bonus. The bite of my niece's Buckeye was dreamy. I just so happen to love quality buckeyes. An ENTIRE sandwich to pay homage to the sweet treat? A sensation for the tastebuds! Tip: Get a glass of milk to accompany! Just trust me, it will only enhance your meal. Sandwich and milkshake prices are very reasonable. Sandwiches are in the $5-6 range, and are loaded with spreads. You can pick from the suggested sammies, or build your own concoction. We got a few of the handmade candies that line Krema's small store space: peacan turtle, cashew turtle, and a chocolate peanut cluster. PS, they are mighty-fine chocolate novelties. We opted to hold off on a Krema milkshake, but definitely gives reason to return!

Sandy W.

Yelp
Best place in town for fresh peanuts and peanut butter. They actually make the peanut butter there. There's flavors such as spicy and cashew peanut butter, as well as traditional crunchy and creamy. Loads of fresh crunchy snacks and if you want to grab a P&J sandwich you can do that as well! Plus they serve ice cream and sell chocolate!

Gena W.

Yelp
I love this place for gift giving snacks. They have an awesome selection and their nuts are the finest quality . Thanks for the samples!

Lisa C.

Yelp
Amazing selection, very reasonable prices for specialty nuts. Also delicious assortment of pretzels with various coatings. And sugar free choices. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, we were there at almost closing time, but never felt rushed. Helpful regarding the least gluten choices. Cute shop and storefront.

Leah R.

Yelp
I went with a co worker who told me about their restaurant. I'm beyond impressed! Their selection of peanut butter and Jelly is outstanding. Their bread was thick and fresh and the staff is so nice! I will be back and highly recommend this place!

Allison K.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much when you drive by but this is the best nut company around. They have fresh nuts sorted by salted, unsalted, they have popcorn, and special treats as well. Prices are great and there are so many variations/flavors for the nuts. Great place for gifts! They also serve fresh peanut butter sandwiches & milkshakes. The milkshakes are amazing! They have some sandwich creations but I always get the creamy pb with fresh grape jelly on white bread. You can also get wheat bread or crunchy PB & strawberry jelly! They also make creations with banana, honey, etc! A must try place.

Josh W.

Yelp
I absolutely love Krema. This local gem has had a place in my heart my entire life. I love to come here and get a classic pb&j sandwich. Their sandwiches are like my mom used to make for my school lunch, but better. I get the Classic Old Timer and add Marshmallow Fluff to it for good measure. Using thick Great Harvest bread to coddle the fresh cut strawberries, ample jelly, and house made nut butter, tops off this amazing sandwich. They also have amazing milkshakes that use their nut butters...make sure to add one of these to go with your sandwich. The cafe is just Krema's side hustle, too. Their main bread and butter *pun intended* is selling their nuts, butters, and sweets from their store and through local grocers. If you are looking for a spot to take the kids for lunch, snacks for a picnic, or want to experience some serious childhood nostalgia, give Krema a visit. You can't go wrong!

Kim W.

Yelp
Got milk? You're gonna need it. PB&J is a staple of not only my childhood but also my adulthood. Love it. I could eat peanut butter on anything. Think of something...right now. Yup. I'd eat peanut butter on it. Really kitschy place that's been there since 1922. Small store with candies and nuts and then a back counter area where you can order peanut butter sandwiches, milkshakes and ice cream. Three of the four food groups. And don't be scared to get picky! Ask for your pb to be put on thick or thin. Ask for extra jelly. Get it your way. I wouldn't make this a regular place to eat, but I'd bring visiting friends here, split a pb&j sandwich, and open a carton of milk because that's what makes the playground of life work.

Anneke M.

Yelp
Such a Columbus gem! I have always loved their PBJs and milkshakes, but wanted to give them a shoutout from my most recent visit. They have majorly updated their website which made online ordering a breeze--a significant upgrade for COVID needs! I always try and include local treats in my family's stockings for Christmas, and I'm excited for them to each get their snack mixes! Had a few questions with my order and the staff member who I spoke with on the phone was so kind and helpful, and curbside pickup was a breeze.

John D.

Yelp
This is the mist go to place for all your nut needs. They have been a staple in the community for as long as I can remember. The have best assortment of nuts and even candy. I personally love the ass kicking mix. The staff is always friendly and eager to point out anything you are look for.

Steve A.

Yelp
Krema Nut Company is one of the favorite not shops of Columbus. I have received a few good gifts from here. They not only have nuts but also some candy. It also has a cafe. They make peanut butter sandwiches. I believe the worst thing is how hard it is to get here when they're open. It's only open a few hours a day so you're out of luck if you work. The cafe had to be checked out if you have a chance. It makes their own peanut butter sandwiches with their own products. They also have a variety of candy and treats like trail mix. I would be sure to get some gifts from Krema. It makes for good holiday party treats. They have some screwy hours so it may take you some time to get there.

Katy K.

Yelp
On 3/30, I ordered the classic old timer sandwich with white bread. It had creamy peanut butter, strawberry jelly, and sliced strawberries on it. It was one of the best pb and j's i've ever had. They had several options for pb and j's. I highly recommend.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Took advantage of curbside pick-up (COVID 19) abs surprised my boyfriend with lunch as we are both currently telecommuting. We split the traditional PB&J, he got the marshmallow cream sandwich & I savored the spicy PB&J and raspberry jam. Delicious food Local business. Friendly staff.

Thomas M.

Yelp
I am obsessed with their peanut butter milkshakes. And their sandwiches are well-stuffed. Not to mention the snack bags that they are famous for. Plus, online ordering is a breeze.

J B.

Yelp
Delicious snacks and nuts. Super fresh and always the highest quality. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Molly M.

Yelp
I have run past this business numerous times and had been wanting to for years. Not sure why it took so long, but I finally went for the first time yesterday and dragged a friend along. It exceeded all expectations. They sell sandwiches on Great Harvest Bread (the best bread place in Columbus) and have a variety of peanut butter, jelly, and other combinations to choose from. I got a classic pb and j with crunchy pb and strawberry perserves on whole wheat bread and wow was it amazing. My friend got a toasted banana and pb sandwich that she also loved. We each got a milkshake (buckeye and cookies and cream and they were both delicious. For a sandwich and milkshake it was about 10 dollars but was worth every penny. The staff is polite and they made our orders so quickly, despite us showing up near close. They also sell a variety of nuts and chocolates and of course pb inside the store, which would make great little gifts. We will be back.

Leigh H.

Yelp
Besides an amazing selection of snacks, nuts of course, they have a kitchen for Pb&J and shakes and other meal type things. I love the variety kd sandwiches - some even spicy! If you love 0b&j, this is a great place to stop!

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
Wow. I've been meaning to go here for a while and finally made it. Long story short; it's worth the hype. I got the classic old timer on wheat (crunchy PB with strawberry compote and strawberries). It did not disappoint. There are many options that I will definitely be going back to try, and I've heard their milkshakes are the bomb dot com!

Mike S.

Yelp
Fresh and Nutty!! If you want fresh nuts, this is the spot. We tried the different P&B sandwiches and varies packages of nuts. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. I recommend this spot to anyone who is in a mood for a nut! P.S. The PB milkshake was amazing too!

Rhett D.

Yelp
I'm not a PB&J lover to begin with, so this was a bit outside of my food comfort zone. We got two sandwiches, one sweet the other spicy PB. Both were good but the bread was rather thick and the spreads were nothing I haven't had before. They didn't change my opinion on PB&Js . With that said, their Buckeye milkshake was so good my significant other would only share ONE sip to me. The one sip will have me coming back for my own.

Jack V.

Yelp
Lovely little place that made me excited to try some peanuts I got the classic PB&J and it was delicious and filling. You can tell the ingredients are fresh as well! Highly recommend stopping in. FYI though- there is not seating inside.

Kenneth S.

Yelp
Seems like I've been stopping in here every couple of months or so for decades. However, stopped in late last week and finally realized that the prices are outrageous. Instead of spending over $65 for four bags of nuts, I went home and bought the same thing (one might say even better) on Amazon for a fraction of the cost. The other factor that caused me to switch to Amazon was that one employee was totally clueless and the other was kind of "snarky". I don't really like paying high prices and supporting "snarky".

Marilyn M.

Yelp
Big shout out to the shipping department! All my orders from yesterday no less-Shipped this morning!! As far as Florida and Louisiana!! Quality products roasted at the factory here in Columbus.

Panda B.

Yelp
Just found out about this place a few years ago and now we stop in every time we are in Columbus and they are open. You can't go wrong with any of the PB/PBJ combos. The Buckeye sandwich is amazing! Fantastic nuts and other treats there too. Almonized peanuts and cashew crunch are a must try. Make sure you look at the hours as they are not open very late. They close at 5:00 pm through the week and 2:00 pm on Saturday, closed Sunday. Highly recommend!

A B.

Yelp
The definitive shop local experience! Go here for your nut butters, treats and great edible gifts:) Enjoy a sandwich or milkshake while there. #noregrets

Lauren T.

Yelp
Honestly a hidden gem of Columbus! Cute little store in Grandview with delicious homemade nuts butters, nut mixes, sandwiches, milkshakes and more! The milkshakes are very addicting though, as a warning!

Bryan R.

Yelp
There isn't much I can add to what the positive reviewers have already noted--the nuts are wonderful, even the unsalted mixes--so I'll focus exclusively on the peanut butter milkshakes, which are exactly how you should treat yourself after a long bike ride on a hot day or on a Friday afternoon to celebrate the upcoming weekend. These milkshakes are thick and creamy but not so thick that you need a spoon, which, in my opinion, would be cumbersome and defeat the purpose of a milkshake. I haven't tried the spicier peanut butter milkshake, or any other flavor, but I'm guessing they're great, too.

Liz T.

Yelp
You want nuts? They have nuts. They have the best cinnamon praline pecans on the planet. I drove from Detroit for these nuts. Okay, I was visiting a friend, but, I did drive from Detroit. Almondized peanuts, Krema peanut butter, pecans, more pecans, and then peanuts. A little pricey, but "you get what you pay for" and it's totally worth it! (Yes, I know I can do mail order)

Liberty L.

Yelp
We enjoy their nuts- they are fresh and roasted to perfection. We receive them as a gift usually each year and it's always a treat each time- they don't last long in this house! :D

Lauren T.

Yelp
Yum!! They have everything here - chocolate, nuts, unique pb&j sandwiches, milkshakes and sundaes! You can't go wrong with anything you order. Make sure you take advantage of their Groupon deals because they go quick! This is a great place for so many things from buying a sweet gift to going to lunch with coworkers.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
I love the goodies at this shop! If you haven't made it in to the Krema Nut store, you are missing out on some delicious snacks! My office often gets goodies from here around the holidays, including the Buckeye crunch popcorn and delicious cashews they have. This store has so many options for gifts and snacks that you could walk out with a big bill if you go in hungry. Everything is packaged, organized and labeled so that it is easy to find in the store. There are typically samples of some of their popular items available as well. After many years of shopping here, I finally decided it was time to try the peanut butter sandwich that they are known for. They are also supposed to have great milkshakes, which I didn't try that day, but I will be back for. I love their brand of peanut butter and sometimes buy it at Kroger, but the sandwich they served in the store was not my style. I'm a fan of the pb&j with the super soft bread and strawberry jam. They did have several types of jams and jellies to try but the bread wasn't soft enough to do it for me. There was also a little too much peanut butter for my taste, but it's definitely worth trying! I'll still be back for to try out a milkshake and when I'm in the mood for some yummy snacks!

Cheryl H.

Yelp
The first time I drove passed, I saw the sign "Krema Nuts: Great for kids" and I stopped to take a picture because ::giggle:: it just sounds dirty. Ok, now that I've got THAT out of my system... I was instantly in love with this place! A fantastic retail selection of nuts, as well as other sweets and treats, peanut butter, and preserves. They also have a mini cafe that serves, what else, peanut butter sandwiches! Peanut butter with bananas, peanut butter with jelly, peanut butter with chocolate, peanut butter with marshmallows, and the sandwich I tried - peanut butter with apples. Unexpectedly delicious. They also have milkshakes in 6 different flavors - I tried chocolate, it was pretty good. The others were buckeye, vanilla, strawberry, peanut butter and... I THINK peanut butter & jelly. Which sounds kinda gross in a milkshake, though I'm sure it's delicious. Sammich and milkshake = under $7. The two people who were working here when I came in - one at the retail counter and one makin' sammies - were SO FRIENDLY. Almost... too friendly. They said hi and bye and thank you so many times. It was adorable. Owner(s)? ::shrug:: Caution: you might develop 8-year-old like behaviors after enjoying a meal of PB&J and a milkshake. Nostalgic comfort food win. And in "we love local" news, the Krema Nut Company has been a Columbus staple since 1898! Over 100 years of nuttin'

Terri G.

Yelp
This is a cute little place that we stumbled upon when visiting family in Ohio. They have a nice selection of snacks, candy and nuts. I was really looking forward to trying my first Fluffernutter Sandwich, but the sandwich counter was closed. Bummer. I opted for the Buckeye Crunch. It was heavenly. Chocolate and Peanut Butter covered Caramel Corn - Yes!!

Amy S.

Yelp
I truly believe this is one of the little hidden gems in Columbus. While several people have heard of this company, few know that they actually serve sandwiches and shakes here- but not just any sandwich- a variety of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. What better comfort food than sitting down to a lunch of peanut butter and jelly with a milkshake for dessert? I took my parents here on their last visit. Upon walking in is an overwhelming variety of nut butters (peanut, almond, cashew), nuts, snack mixes, candies, etc. on the shelves along the walls. They also have a little "cafe" off to the side. This is why I really wanted to come! Their whole menu is reasonably priced, with no sandwich costing more than $5. After much contemplation, we decided to share the Classic Old Timer and the Almond Delight with orange apricot spread, both on white bread (despite the fact that even as I kid, I always declined white bread- something must be wrong with me). The Classic Old Timer was just that- crunchy peanut butter, strawberry preserves and slices of strawberries sandwiched between two slices of soft white bread. The saltiness of the peanut butter and sweetness of the preserves and fruit really complimented each other. And that bread- I need to find out where it comes from because it was fantastic. So fresh and so good. I wanted to try a sandwich with one of the other nut butters, so we decided to get the one made with almond butter. The Almond Delight was made with their smooth almond butter and your choice of any topping. We chose the orange apricot fruit spread and although slightly tart, it was the perfect combination with the almond butter. Of course after enjoying the sandwiches so much, we couldn't pass down the opportunity to finish off our meal with a milkshake made with their delicious peanut butter! We ordered the peanut butter-chocolate...my mouth waters just thinking about it! It's the best milk shake I've had in a very long time- my mom and I fought for the last sip. I didn't leave the store without a jar of peanut butter and almond butter. I've been recommending this place to everybody since I've eaten here, and I will surely be back soon!

Brian P.

Yelp
Krema Nut is a throwback to earlier times. Their front room is filled with traditional peanut shop wares. Prepackaged bags of nut meats, sesame sticks, gorp, and all the other mixes of top quality nuts you would expect. They also have shelves filled with their outstanding fresh peanut butter. Jams and other spreads are here for your mix and match needs. The real surprise is the smallish room off to the left as you walk in. You can get sandwiches made with their peanut butter and spreads on premium bread. Peanut butter and banana or bacon bits or jelly or jam, etc....it's all here and it's all good. The topper, though, is the milkshakes. In order to do this properly, have the buckeye milkshake first. You need chocolate mixed with their delicious peanut butter and ice cream. Sure, the remaining flavors are worth trying, but kick it off with the buckeye. I have a kid with nut allergies, so I can't stock up for home use, but I buy cartloads of stuff for the office and for gifts. So good. Excuse me while I go finish the bag of peanuts and butter toffee that I bought yesterday. Friendly, family style place with a product good enough to ship worldwide. (Why not five stars? Fair question. Being closed on Sundays hurts a bit, but I would give this place a 4.5 if I could.)

Valerie B.

Yelp
When I walked into the small retail storefront for the Krema Nut Company, I was not sure what to expect. I heard they had peanut butter sandwiches but I had no idea the options would be so gourmet and varied! I stood in front of the menu board and started reading some of the descriptions. All I could think of was HOLY COW, why don't more people know about this?! I was torn between three: the smoked almond spread with apples, the classic PB&J with strawberry preserves and fresh sliced strawberries OR the hot and spicy crunchy peanut butter with chipotle raspberry preserves. I ended up getting the hot and spicy sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was straight up, dense, good old white bread (they have others) and it rocked! Well worth the $4.50. Check out this local gem - we are truly lucky to have it here in Columbus! I can't wait to try more. Update: Today I popped in and had a spicy PB with strawberry preserves and fresh, sliced strawberries. It was so good, I SnapChatted it to my friends!

Scott N.

Yelp
Wow, their specialty is PBJ sandwiches and roasted nuts. I ordered the Krema Special with grape jam on delicious white bread. I'm not a hot breakfast fan so this really hit the spot. I also bought a container of huge cashews with sea salt and black pepper. Can't wait to try them. Definitely will be back next trip to Columbus.

Randy S.

Yelp
You've probably passed this store on Goodale and didn't even realize it was open to the public. Krema is a Columbus-based nut roaster. And though the shop is essentially an add on to a rather unassuming corporate headquarters, it is awesome. In addition to a dizzying array of nuts, Krema makes natural peanut butter and other nut butters. Candies are available in the shop too. The real kicker is the small section in the back of the shop where you can purchase peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and milkshakes. You can make those at home you say? Be warned: these aren't just any old PB&Js. These are gourmet 'wiches. Got a hankering for spicy peanut butter with hot raspberry preserves? They can scratch that itch. Of course, you could still make that at home. The thing is, you're not going to. You're going to come here.

Dawn K.

Yelp
If you like peanut butter, nuts, chocolate, milkshakes, etc. and you haven't tried Krema yet, why not? I finally did today, for the first time. After seeing a coworker eating one of their gourmet peanut butter sandwiches, I had to try it. I also checked out their web site and found they had nuts and trail mixes and more. I bought the sweet and nutty mix (Peanuts, Raisins, Chocolate Buttons, Banana Chips, Almonds and Walnuts), as well as a gourmet nut mix (Cashews, Almonds, Blanched Almonds, Hazel Nuts, Pecans, Walnuts & Brazil Nuts). Then I ordered an "old timer" sandwhich on wheat. It's natural peanut butter with strawberry preserves and fresh slices strawberries. The all-natural peanut butter is a bit dry by itself, but with the preserves and strawberries, it is heaven. After paying, I noticed their samples and tried a piece of the "Buckeye Crunchers." I grabbed a couple of those, too. I actually haven't tried the nut mixes yet, but based on what I have had, I'm sure they won't disappoint. Can't wait to stop back for the Buckeye milkshake that others rave about!

Yelp
Bread is fantastic, soft yet toothsome. Creamy cashew butter is mildly sweet and has just the right amount of grain to it. Companion had crunchy peanut butter, thought it one of the best he's had. Orange/apricot marmalade has strong orange flavor (no apricot) but was satisfying. Vanilla shake a nice pairing. Skip the chocolate shake tho. We both agree tastes nothing like chocolate, you know - cheap and plastic-y. I'm learning Columbus is a quality ice-cream town and you get spoiled fast.

Yelp
Holy Peanut Butter goodness, Batman! I had the honor and privilege of visiting this business for my job today. The lunch counter called my name with its vast selection of sandwiches and milkshakes featuring any variety of fresh peanut butter made (probably just moments earlier) in the production facility you can watch from the retail store windows. I selected the "Buckeye" a fresh peanut butter and Nutella sami on white bread. The sandwhich was a work of art! My eyes ate in the layers of light brown, creamy peanut butter topped with an equally think chocolate and hazelnut spread of Nutella. The bread was NOT the star of the meal yet was meaty enough to support the weight of the 2 spreads. The counter lady tempted me to add a milk shake to my order but I'm glad I passed. Unfortunately, Ialso passed on adding a beverage. DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE MY FRIEND! My partial bottle of water in the car was not enough to satisfy the thirst fresh peanut butter demands! Pick up a bottle or two of water; maybe even some milk to wash down this little slice of delishisness that is a Krema Peanut Butter sandwich! Take a moment to browse the shop featuring items made on site. Krema is a local, family owned business selling the highest quality nuts, butters and chocolates. We are lucky to have them in our back yard! I'm lucky to have a job that introduces me to Krema. I can't wait to return!

Yelp
I love this little shop, where you can pick up a snack or gift bag (better do both, to be safe) of nuts, granola, candy, mixed crackers, a jar of nut butter (spicy peanut butter!), or, OR... BUCKEYE CRUNCH. Buy it, try it, cry about the calories and think about how you can get others hooked on this crack-a-licious treat. Caramel corn, dipped in peanut butter, then drizzled with chocolate. CRACK. A. LICIOUS. I give it to people and watch them put their hand to their mouth and say "Ohmigawd!" Instant addiction. I need to stop, because Krema is not open now and I don't have any Buckeye Crack...I mean, Crunch here at home. Drool, drool. In addition to their gift shop (where you can look into their production facility), they have a small cafe area where they create various nut butter sandwiches, with jelly/jam combinations, fruit options, fluffernutters, etc. etc. They also have milkshakes, ice cream and sundaes. Good for kids? You betcha. This trip was a lunchtime jaunt to get a almond butter and sliced strawberry sandwich and pick up a pack of spicy rice crackers. Totally love the thick-sliced wheat bread they use and how fresh their nut butter is. A total treat. It can get a bit crowded on the weekends, but during the week it is manageable. The staff are friendly and helpful, too. Definitely a must-try.
