Krinaki tavern

Finikia has a handful of restaurants, and Krinaki is definitely worth a visit. The food was fresh, flavourful, well prepared and beautiful. We were so happy to have found this restaurant. It wowed us! We had a table outside, where the atmosphere and views are lovely. We were only in Santorini for a very quick visit, otherwise we would have stopped in again.

This was our first meal after arriving in Santorini and it did not disappoint. The service was friendly and fast. The atmosphere was very authentic Greek. And we absolutely loved the food. We had some beers, eggplant salad, fried calamari and meatballs.

The best meal I have had in 6 weeks of travelling through Europe. So much flavour in every dish! The restaurant is beautifully situated overlooking the town and ocean below. The staff were so lovely and made the experience all the more enjoyable. In addition, everything was quite well priced!

My husband and I had dinner at this charming tavern on our recent (and short) trip to Santorini. We were totally blown away by our experience - the food and service was fantastic and the dining area has a great view that overlooks the water and the Finikia area. During our short stay, we felt compelled to return for a second visit! We tried a few dishes but our favourites were the grilled mastelo cheese and the slow cooked spare rib.

The Krinaki Tavern serves excellent dishes at great pricing, the staff are polite and attentive, the atmosphere is perfect and if you get seated outside there is even a nice view to enjoy. The area doesn’t have many restaurants but this was the best of them all and the only place we returned to. Try to make a reservation in advance for dinner though, it is a popular place (with good reason) and if you want to be seated outside you may find it fills very quickly after 7pm.

We liked it so much that we went back a second time during our stay. The food is delicious and the waiter was very kind 😊 I had the avocado toast and an espresso for breakfast and the Greek salad for lunch. My friends are picky eaters but even they loved everything they ate here. The view was very nice as well.

Best meal we ate in Greece! So good we went back to try more of the menu and we only had 3 nights in Santorini. It’s tucked away from all the busyness of the main Oia streets. The little outdoor courtyard was so cute. The service was so friendly and everything we ate was amazing. You can’t miss the Shrimp Saganaki and the short rib. We also had the seafood orzo on the second night which was worth the second visit. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could and anyone who is giving it less doesn’t understand Greek dining.

It was a bit of a wait to get a seat on the terrace but they sat us inside and we had a drink while we waited. The wait was worth is because the terrace is gorgeous. The food and service were exceptional. The fava dish was something I’ll dream about
