Worst experience. It was so disappointing that even after two months I felt compelled to write this review, hoping it helps others. We had an early checkout at around 7:30 AM. My 2-year-old son was hungry, so I requested hot milk and some toast before leaving. Unfortunately, the hotel failed to arrange even this basic request. The reception kept saying “please talk to the restaurant”, while the restaurant staff refused to help, saying they were not operating before 9:00 AM and were busy preparing breakfast. I personally went to the restaurant at 7:30 AM, but they sent me back to reception. This back-and-forth continued until we had to leave—disappointed, with my child still hungry. What makes this worse is that we had a complimentary breakfast plan, which cost us ₹3,000 extra for 4 people. We didn’t even expect a full breakfast—just bread and milk—but the hotel failed to provide that as well. Other issues: Very poor service, especially at the restaurant. One staff member was particularly rude—lots of showmanship, no hospitality. I just saw mention of rude elderly gentleman staff in another review. I am confirm he is the same guy. Arrogant and what not. Only good thing about him was his English. We booked a garden-view room, but the actual location was shocking. It felt like a completely different property—we had to cross the road and walk deep inside another area to reach the room. Overall, extremely disappointing service and poor coordination. Would not recommend, especially for families with kids.

If you want to stay at North Varkala cliff and want to see the water throughout the day then it is perfect destination for you. It has direct access to sea. The beaches are also closeby only. The resort is good and well maintained. With good sea facing swimming pool which only this resort is having among all the nearby resorts. Issues are rooms are little pricey but location compensated it. Service is not good. Food is also not good. If you are booking this then you can skip food. Ample of cafes nearby. The location and views are so serene and scenic which makes it worth stay.

Fantastic hotel. Very friendly staff, hotel is clean, amazing garden, towels are changed as often as you need, bottled water is provided daily. In every situation, you can count on help and a smile. I have been to this hotel with a group of yogis twice and I will come back again. Sunil leads yoga every day on the hotel terrace. You must go to him for yoga. Sunil is a crystal clear teacher and very gentle. He knows what ahimsa is and does not force students into positions.

Our stay at Krishnathera was absolutely wonderful and truly one of the best accommodation experiences in Varkala. The property is beautiful and very well maintained, making it a perfect place to stay and relax. The rooms are excellent—especially the Deluxe Premium rooms with ocean view, which are simply stunning. They are spacious, air-conditioned, equipped with hot water, and everything is perfectly taken care of. The staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional, always attentive and ready to help with a smile. The overall service is of a very high standard, and the atmosphere makes you feel comfortable and well looked after from the first moment. A special mention goes to the Ayurveda center, which is of excellent quality. The treatments and massages are extremely professional, deeply relaxing, and performed with great care. The yoga shala with ocean view is also exceptional—practicing yoga here is truly unforgettable and adds incredible value to the stay. Krishnathera offers high-quality accommodation, professional wellness services, and a stunning setting. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Varkala and looking for comfort, relaxation, and a truly special experience. 🌊✨

BEWARE!! This is not a 3 star property it's a typical Budget hotel being advertised as a good property due to its location. Pros: Only location. It lies in the North cliff with easy access to all the restaurants. Cons: EVERYTHING Rooms are unclean, the moment we stepped into our room it felt like walking on grease. The walls have cracks. I was able to see ants on the electric kettle. Breakfast has very limited options. Food was very mediocre. The linen has stains the washroom towels feels like ages old. The staff was not welcoming at all. Overall it was the worst experience we had in our complete Kerala trip. If you care a little about your personal hygiene this place is not for you. The room tariffs doesn't justify the services being provided in return. Avoid this place and look for better options in Varkala.

Great Location, Poor Management and Value The only redeeming quality of this property is its excellent location. It is situated perfectly near to the beach and the cliff Our mini-fridge was broken upon arrival. While it was replaced on day two. Housekeeping only in request on the second day. No replenishment of basic amenities—we weren't even given new drinking water bottles for the second day which is the norm even in small hotels. That too needs special request. morning, we woke up to a mess on our balcony. Food waste from other rooms (porotta and some curry) had been dragged across the property by crows or dogs, which was quite revolting to see first thing in the morning. The complimentary breakfast spread is very minimal and definitely not up to the standard of a ₹8,000/night hotel. ​While they offer coffee and omelets made to order, the wait times are excessively long. Wifi is nonexistent for most of the time, its not a matter of connectivity issue as the reception wifi with another user id and password which was given for payment was superfast. ​The Crow Menace: The outdoor dining area desperately needs netting. Crows are constantly swooping down to snatch food from plates on nearby tables, making for a very unhygienic and stressful meal. ​At ₹8,000 per night, this hotel is vastly overpriced. It feels like a budget 3-star property charging luxury prices.

Overall, good stay. Clean rooms, AC and Fan available. Near to Black sand beach(it's a small beach, but one can go there from hotel in 5 mins). Few things missing: Towel were provided after asking. Glasses could be more cleaner, sink had no cap so a dirty feeling comes when you see the dirt stuck in it.

Rooms was very small and not that much attractive as we can see resort from outside. reception staff looks bit rude to guest and they have lots of rules and regulations, Its like tumko rehna ho to raho, humare to yehi rules hai. feels like staying in hostel Instead of hotel. But View from balcony or from pool was Awsome.
