Kritikos Fournos Geuseis / Sourdough Bakery

Quick service and put together two tables for our party of 5. The chocolate cake was rich without being dense and heavy. The mango cream roll cake was light and refreshing. The carrot cake was a surprise to find here but slightly dry. All very reasonably priced and would definitely come back. So many treats and light meal options.

Desserts and pastries excellent! Warning, more expensive if you eat at a table rather than take out. I still recommend.

Stopped in for a snack and coffee. Staff was quick to help answer questions and help us order what we wanted. Had a Cappuccino and Baklava,(the biggest piece I've ever had) and it was really good. The prices were very fair at 4€ for a larger sized cappuccino and the same for a large desert.

This is a dream bakery and dessert shop in an excellent location. It had every type of pastry or dessert you could possibly crave; cake, icecream, crossaints etc. pizza was good too. Mousse cake was delicious.

We visited Heraklion only for 6 hours and our first place to stop for breakfast was here. The food is amazing as it is very traditional not catered for any other culture , but traditional Crete foid. The service was also amazing but what made it so special was when we asked Andeas to help us with some directions he did not hesitate especially when he was so busy , he just took all the time to put the direction in our Google Map and help us . We felt such gratitude and we wanted to share this. We also had a wonderful experience with his colleague Aris when we returned for late lunch. We loved this place this much that we came back. Thank you Andreas and Aris and the rest of the lovely people in this establishment. We will leave this beautiful part of Crete with the warm feeling of being so well looked after. Amazing place! 🤩 we had a really good kinder bueno milkshake and a caramel mousse and we will definitely come here again and again because they had so many awesome things, like cakes and giant cinnamon buns and baklava 🧋🍪🍰 also the service was very nice and translated all the ingredients for us to English!

A beautiful bakery that offers savoury and sweet options. The galatopoureko is a must try! Service is friendly and prompt. They make great coffee. We enjoyed a frappe & cappuccino. Plant based milk options are available.
