Great experience. Staff was helpful. The sales are amazing. Very Delightful shopping experience. Definitely will be going back. Got the blanket, the shorts, the Nike shirt, and a couple bags. LOVE THIS STORE

The Kroger grocery store and Kroger Pharmacy on Timberlake Road, Lynchburg, VA are the absolute worst grocery store and pharmacy that I have ever been to. There are far too many rude, unprofessional, uncaring people who work there--they simply feel entitled to be disrespectful. Management does nothing to change this behavior, including upper management. In fact they don't even respond. Go to any other Kroger location and you will find better service. The Timberlake location wasn't always this way. I have seen a massive decline in service there over the past 15+ years. There is only one exception--an elderly woman who helps in the check out lines--she has the energy of an angel--a beautiful caring heart and spirit. If only she could teach the management team and every employee how to provide true customer service from their hearts, it would be a completely different place. I will never return to either the store or the pharmacy on Timberlake Road.

I love this Kroger. I do all my food shopping here. I buy my money orders here when it’s time to pay the rent. I have also purchased some quality things for my kitchen like a strainer, bread knife, cups, and candles. They have an excellent selection of kitchen goods. Customer service has been great. They honored a sale tag that was a couple weeks old. Staff here are very friendly! I shop here because I like the quality of their fruits and produce. I was horrified when I went to Food Lion.

Avoid delays and frustrations go to a different store..... For all their gimmicks and coupons, when you try to use the coupons, there's a problem with every single one at checkout, ridiculous! I'm reminded now why I've started going to Food Lion more often than not.

This is my favorite Kroger store. They often have items on my list that will be reduced (great quality reduced items). The associates are always helpful with a smile. The produce is fresh and stocked. They have the best wine selection of all the Kroger stores.

I bought some pork loin on mark down and asked the meat counter to slice them into thick chops. The butcher refused to do so. At checkout. I mentioned this to the clerk, and she called the manager, who did not answer.

I ordered groceries through the Kroger App and every bag smelled like weed when they were dropped off on my porch. When I contacted the manager at Timberlake Kroger, he said they were not resposible since Kroger uses a third party for delivery. When I contacted their third party company, they reverted me back to Kroger. Needless to say, I have 15 gocery bags on my front porch that are infused with the smell of marajuana and Kroger could care less. Never again.

Clean and decent inventory. Best part is the sushi bar, if you like sushi that is. Probably top 3 places to get sushi in all of Lynchburg.

This Kroger location is very clean and organized nicely. Well stocked too! We came here to pick up a few items while visiting the area. We used the self checkout , so no interaction with staff. I really liked the pricing deals on many items. I will definitely come here again!

I think her name was Henderson or at least started with an H. She's EXTREMELY HELPFUL and kind. 10/10 customer service told me exactly where I needed to go to find exactly what I was looking for even tho I didn't know what I was looking for. Store is always stocked and organized and I see her working hard there all the time. Also the lady at the cheese counter was super nice and insightful about cheese. The fresh produce section is my favorite and the wine section is HUGE. Anyway Hudson was super cool and I enjoy seeing her there.

The food is fresh, even if you do a pick up or delivery order. I like going into this store to use Yuka app to research what I should and should NOT eat. This is the only body I have! The service is good as well. Employees are kind and don't get grumpy when your request causes them to have to step away from what they were doing. ONLINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE: In a word: SUCKS! Oh gosh, there is not a lot to choose from and what you can choose from unavailable. I put a $104 order together to use the $20 discount coupon (http://kroger.com/20off thru 7/14/2025) but there was so much more out of stock that the order fell below the threshold to a total spend of only 54.59, and I did not have enough items for the $5 for five deal. I went from total savings of $47.18 to a discount of only $9.71. Truly disappointed.

A decent Kroger with a wide range of choices in grocery, ready made food, and yoghurt (see pictures). Conveniently located just outside Lynchburg, this Kroger has some nice garlic bread (baguette) that you just need to toast in the oven.

On Saturday8/12/23 Kroger in Timberlake Lynchburg Va had drinks on sale 4 for 12.00 .We spent over 200.00.We brought 2 six packs of Dr Pepper and 2 Diet Mt Dew one six pack of Diet Dew expired within 7 days and I Dr Pepper was already expired my wife open one took a swallow and it almost made her Vomit plus we lost I pd of Hamburger within 2days I threw it away do I took the drinks back to Krogers and ask if I could exchange them and your Employee was very rude to me . So as of right now I will not visit this store in the future if I am not mistaken I think one day she was working gas pumps and got smart with me there

Supermarket (Call it 3.8 stars) Kroger is my go-to supermarket here in the Lynchburg area- this location in particular is huge, well lit, and totally clean and usually has everything I could want and a lot of things I didn't think I wanted until I saw it on the shelf. I would call Kroger better than average versus the rest of the area supermarkets for everyday items. Their prices are very good, particularly if you utilize their e-coupons and loyalty card programs. I can typically knock $40 off my shopping order after the total is rang up by scanning my loyalty card - that is some nice savings. This location is very large and well stocked with a huge selection of your grocery needs. Meat, deli, seafood, canned goods and dairy are well represented. All these sections are clean as a whistle and prices are very good. Produce is lagging however. The produce department is large and well stocked but the freshness leaves a lot to be desired - that is to say, the produce does not last once at home and we have learned to buy just what we need to use immediately or it will end up in the trash. Check out time is usually quick and they usually have baggers that help keep things moving. If you do not like to interact with people (or just have really bad breath) there is a bunch of self-checkout stations available. Beyond the physical items you go to a supermarket for, there is a Starbucks kiosk inside and to me, the star of the show beyond the groceries is the Kroger gasoline. There is a whole point system based on your store spend and you save .10 cents for every 100 points - you can literally knock up to $1 off a gallon of fuel if you do enough shopping. *I get so frustrated that the carts always having screwed up wheels. Squeeking, shaking, seized up all together etc. The last few times I pulled out 5 different carts before I got one that was decent and even that one wasnt rolling smoothly.* *95% of the carts need maintenance/cleaning on at least 1 wheel. Campare it to a Target cart for reference.* *I know this may seem petty but after walking around a store for 20 minutes with a squeeking and rumbling cart I told myself I was going to say something lol.*

Terrible customer service and unprofessional managers almost every time I visit the store.

Where is the soul of the South? Where are the people of the South in customer service? We moved here from DC area because people are so nice, with good customer service. It was so sad to find self-serve registers are served from a person with a DC attitude. No help and she copped an attitude when she was asked to help. To have to use Self serve to save the store money and then get Attitude from staff is a reason to switch stores for ever. Lynchburg look-out for those Self-Serve registers which can double charge and when you ask for help you get an Attitude.

This Kroger stocks Turkey Hill Iced Tea, what a sight for sore eyes. The staff was nice and friendly, and they did have wide selection of products. This was actually the first Kroger I've ever been to. We bought bread, cheese, meat and lettuce and made our own sandwiches, frugal I guess but it saved soem money. But the only thing is when I asked for cash at the Kroger's ATM it only let me take 60 dollars out, I wanted 200, but anyway.

Renovations are now complete, and I really like the selections the store now has. Complete with a Starbucks by the deli, great options for a quick lunch or dinner, wine and cheese selections, etc. Another thing I really appreciate is that the aisles are wide. Unlike a lot of stores, you can have two carts, side by side, passing each other without feeling crammed. The lower level lighting is more pleasing on the eyes, and makes for a more inviting shopping atmosphere.

The new renovation is absolutely beautiful! There is a Starbucks set to open in there also!

Disappointed essential worker picking up food for their dog after work. I checked locations' hours and remembered that Kroger had reduced their hours but I knew I still had time. I walked up to the door at 9:45 to be told that the store was closed. I understand reduced hours at a time like this, but if you're gonna close at 9:45pm, I feel the front doors should not say "open until 10pm.

I was so excited to go back here after they remodeled. It was not a let down at all. The place is huge and beautiful. I enjoyed my shopping experience so much I lost track of time and was late for my dinner date, oops. The meat counter had beautiful cuts of meat, the produce was fresh, and the Deli had great choices too. I think I am going to be a faithful Kroger shopper!

The best Kroger around Lynchburg! I can always find what I need, the staff is always polite, and the produce is always stocked!

My husband and I were looking at the olive bar in front of the cheese station today at around 4:20pm, when along came the woman working in the cheese station and she stuck her entire head(without a hairnet) underneath the protective glass with her face about 5 inches away from the food. My husband even said aloud "you are not supposed to put your head under there!" (she didn't seem to hear him). Needless to say, we left without getting anything there and we NEVER will. Gross!

Really good store, but they lock the second entrance well before 10 PM. Its understandable that the doors may be locked 5 mins before 10, but 10 minutes is a bit extreme. Just say doors lock between 950 and 10.

Love Kroger! My one stop shop. I never go to Wal-Mart anymore because this Kroger: (1) is much less crowded; (2) efficient self-checkout; (3) awesome fuel rewards (got $.30 off per/gal last month!); (4) convenient organic section; (5) very friendly staff who have no issue walking you to what you are looking for; (6) awesome produce section (definitely an improvement since the expansion); (7) you can special order your sushi and watch them make it in front of you; (8) amazing Manager Specials; (9) HUGE deli selections; (10) Starbucks, hello! This place simply offers so much, and at competitive prices. Oh and cheap prescriptions for members! Will definitely be returning in the near future (very near). Thanks Kroger for your expansion, definitely made a difference in this review and in the way I shop.

this has to be the biggest grocery store ive ever been to. very spacious. what was even better was being there at 1AM when the place was completely empty of other customers. the shopping experience was a dream. i even felt bad when my party showed up at the front to pay and we had to interrupt the nice lady from chillin to approve our self-checkout recipt. the prepared meals were good. the chicken and pasta was delicious as was the ready-to-go tiramisu slice. me and a friend had to spend at least 10 minutes arguing who saw the last slice first, and i won. how glad i ended up being that i did. all-in-all the next time im in the area and am in need of anything grocery related. krogers will be my destination.

I shopped during the Grand re-opening of the Timberlake store and it's a beautiful store, comparable to what I'm use to 'up North'. And it's HUGE. Great selection, lots of products to choose from. I'm very pleased that Kroger is carrying so many more organic products and produce.

The store is OK, except for the truly inexplicable snooty unfriendly attitudes from the majority of the employees. Lord help you if you need to ask a question, like if something is not on the shelf. I asked a man who was in the course of stocking cheese if he could see if there was any shredded mozzarella, because there was none on the shelf. He rolled his eyes, and said, " well, I guess I could go and look..." he came back about 10 minutes later and said " well, just as I thought, we don't have any". I watched a girl checking out a lady in front of me in the checkout line take the plastic basket and turn it upside down and dump it on the belt, while telling her friend who was standing next to her that that's what she always does when people have the nerve to set the basket on the belt without emptying it first. I really can't for the life of me understand why this attitude would be so pervasive at this location semicolon one would think the new one in Forest would be the spot possibly to find such a snooty behavior, as it is a more high end location, but they are actually quite friendly there. There is also never enough parking, which is quite maddening. With the exception of one very nice lady, everyone in the pharmacy department also has the same snooty, " you are lucky that I am helping you" attitude. These observations are not based upon one bad experience, but rather a long history of shopping at this location. I just really don't understand it.

Best selection of great foods in the area. Especially love the olive bar! Forest store has the best selection (esp its fish counter).

Why are Lynchburg area Krogers charging 20 cents more, almost 30%, for turkeys than Harrisonburg, Charlottesville and Richmond stores, among others. 69 cents a pound for a Honeysuckle frozen bird in Lynchburg vs 49 cents in other Krogers. A manager at the Boonsboro store couldn't explain. So why are we being ripped off?

Kroger on wards has always been my go to since I live literally two seconds from it. They always have what I need and are 24/7 so when I need something later in the night, I can get it. Plus great staff. Very nice and helpful.

For a grocery store it has a decent wine selection.

I got food poisoning from their ribs .... It's my fault for trusting a grocery stores ribs .

Love this kroger, but experienced a not so courteous customer service person at the customer service desk, Kelly C was the name on her badge. Waited over 10 min to get served; looking for a sale item I couldn't locate. She told me she had "no idea" and proceeded to ask for help on the intercom, which she announced to the whole store that she had asked for help 3X !. After a phone call I was informed that "if you didn't see it, we don't have it". Geez, thanks for taking 20 min of my time. This girl was NOT what I expect to experience at a customer service desk, but if this is what kroger wants......
