Krone Lamm

We had a great time at Kronelamm. The place is very much for locals, but we were made to feel very welcome. Dog friendly location which is a bonus. The spa is great, it will be even better when they finish their expansion in the next year. Gourmet restaurant food was amazing although the service was very slow the night we went. Buffet meals were generally good, the breakfast is fantastic.

I own a travel agency based out of Washington DC…I’ve dealt with some of the most luxurious hotel brands in the world and have travelled to 44 countries. One thing I don’t care for in Germany is poor customer service especially in the hospitality industry….however this particular property and the staff have blown me away. Everything was perfect from the time I called and made the booking to arrival, our four days at the hotel, 4 massages, dining and the super super friendly staff! There’s absolutely nothing I would change and I’ll most certainly be back. It was a very nice break away from the stresses of our jobs and 3 small children. I wish the Berlin family much success. Everything was perfect! I’m not sure what your backgrounds are but you sure are doing a fantastic job in this industry where many hotels and restaurants fall short on. And thank you for the attention to detail! Small gestures of providing me with an English menu each night to accommodating our spa appointment changes since my husband was sick to even a late check out! Thank you!!!!!!!!

We go regularly to the restaurant and enjoy this every single time! The food is EXCELLENT! I have given the restaurant 5 stars as the food and service was excellent. I particularly like the bar area - very welcoming with a pleasant atmosphere. I had the best steak I have eaten for a long time. Really worth a visit. However, one negative point. There were 2 dogs in the restaurant which was for me not fitting for a restaurant of this quality. Particularly after one of the service staff stroked one of the dogs and continued with his work.

We totally agree with Mattes review. We stayed 2 nights, but were put off by the “old people home atmosphere! ״|The reception welcoming is very bad. Only one person serving and there is a long queue waiting to be served, while there are lots of suitcases on the floor blocking the movement around. ( looks like in a train station). |The dinner , which is not the best , is by sitting according to their decision where to sit you. The menu is not the best, and if you ask for a change for a La Card , even for extra cost, obviously not acceptable . |The description of the hotel in the internet is wrongly described. There is some very small indoor bucket that is being described as an indoor pool . People are changing their clothes in public, and walking around naked, not to everyone’s taste . People are smoking everywhere, including on benches by the entrance door. Non smokers have no where to escape it. Room cleaning is by demand only, never had service like this in a 4* hotel. Even after it was cleaned, the shower was still slippery and sticky. Room was with modern wooden furniture but cold atmosphere. Bare floors with no carpet or even a small rug to walk on when you come out from the shower to change in the room. |Would not recommend this place, as there are much better spa resorts or hotels in the Black Forest.

We didn't felt welcomed at all in Krone Lamm because of our two very bad experiences. That's why we will not come back here.

Excellent 👌 We stayed here during the long weekend of the 14th July, as we live in France, and we were extremely pleased. The hotel is in a beautiful setting and you'll have amazing views of the forest from most rooms and from the pool. The pool is also great, and it was one of the things that made us choose this hotel, as we wanted to relax and enjoy the hot summer weather. The staff is 5 stars! From the reception, to the restaurant, everyone was extremely polite, welcoming and friendly. We don't speak German very well, and everyone made us feel comfortable by speaking in English with us (a special thanks to the gentleman that served us dinner both nights!). The hotel is also very clean and comfortable. Our room was spacious, had a lovely garden and we felt at home here. The restaurant is also amazing! Our dinner was excellent, really, with healthy, fresh and rich ingredients, but without all that nonsense new-trend cuisine. We loved it! Also, we think the hotel is a great value if you choose half-board. We think the price of the room, with everything you have access to (spa, pool, beautiful forest...), is extremely reasonable considering the quality food (and generous portions!) you get. Also, lunch/brunch is included (with salads, a lot of fresh and delicious fruit, cakes, etc), and you also have fruit and tea in a space by the pool and spa. We thought is was so generous! Overall, we were extremely pleased and we'll definitely be coming back in the future. It's German quality and German hospitality at its best! Highly, highly recommended!

A beautiful hotel set in the black forest. Surrounded by wonderful walks. During our 4 night stay we really enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and the evening meal was wonderful. Our drinks in the bar were served by very attentive staff. Swimming in the heated outdoor pool before breakfast was greatly enjoyed and we did spend one morning in the spa. I was treated to a facial and the young lady who took care of me was so lovely and helpful, she made my first experience of a facial a pleasure. Cannot fault this wonderful hotel. All the staff were so helpful and caring.
