Krua Kampan

The foods are great but omg the flies are swarming me and the food. We went outside the dining hour so it looks like I'm the only swarm target for the flies. There are more than 5 flies swarming our table, landing on top of our foods and on us. So I just keep trying to swat our hand while eating. The server said it's due to the smell of our food that attracts the flies, but if you realize why there's no preventive measure 😭 Overall good food, bad experience. Maybe I'll do takeout, but will never dine in anymore. Red Curry Little Snail with Coconut Milk and Betel Leaves (4/5⭐) This is actually my favorite menu. The curry is so savory albeit too spicy for me. But the snail is a bit too tough from what I expected. Stir Fried Pork Spare Ribs with Homemade Sauce (4/5⭐) The pork is nice and so savory, but again the spiciness kicked in too hard. But eating this with rice is a very good match. Stir Fried Preserved Egg with Crispy Basil (2/5 ⭐) I never knew eggs could be that tough to chew. And the crispy basil looks more like condiments rather than half part of the dish. The pork is soft, but they're just there. I wouldn't recommend this...

Typically, I'm not well-versed in the cuisine served at Krua Kampan, yet I found myself thoroughly enjoying the exploration of their menu offerings. The service stood out, characterized by a team of incredibly welcoming staff. Our meals were prepared swiftly and each dish showcased the freshness of its ingredients. It’s clear why Krua Kampan has earned a spot on the Bib Gourmand section of the Michelin Guide. I recommend giving it a try, and personally, I'm looking forward to my next visit.

A very local Thai restaurant. One girl could speak English and she was really helpful. We went there twice in a row and were able to try many dishes. Our favoriete dishes are: Ancient spicy fried cartilage, Fried catfish with ginger pepper,Phanaeng chicken curry. Fermented crab is essentially raw and with very specific flavors, a little note to who wanted to try “Thai papaya salad with picked crab”

There is a big boat in the restaurant. Food was delicious and service was nice. Love their retro decorations especially the cassette tape collection on the wall. Good for everybody from grandpa to grandchildren.

It was my negative experience. It's a pretty well-decorated place but every ordered dish was too dry. Even seabass in sweet and sour sauce was very hard to chew but fried pork almost impossible. Orange juice was watery. Unfortunately, I woudn't recommend to visit...

Ranking just Ok for me, the concern is cleanliness, a lot of flies and nasty restroom. They should improve this matters. Besides, the food, service, and atmosphere are good.

One of the worst restaurants that I have been to in a while. I'm not sure how they got the Michelin bib gourmands. - Too long to wait for the food order. - No available food on some items ordered even during the day. - Wrong food order was provided. Order not spicy. It came with a super spicy one. - No waitresses to service the order. - All of the empty tables (more than 10) from the passed client, all things were left on the tables and not cleaned.

This is a Michelin Award resto in Khao Yai with authentic Thai Food. Glad they have menu in English. First time try the fried crispy catfish and it's so good.
