Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station (Bang Sue Grand Station)

The station is massive and modern, almost like an airport. Directions are clear with plenty of signs, and the toilets are kept very clean. It’s easy to get around since it links directly to the MRT Blue Line and the Red Line for the airport. There’s a good food court near Gate 4 with cheap local food, and plenty of AC and seats while you wait. Just remember they only let you onto the platform about 20 minutes before the train leaves.

Giant modern station.. brand new and huge inside. As everything well organised even if appears not at first glance..plenty of kiosk and places for food and drink. Outside is empty nothing around. Easy to get in and smoke..overall easy pleasant experience. Felt little North Korea style due to its size and relative emptiness. But if you have train from here its a pleasure easy experience.

A big train station in Bangkok, its structure makes you wonder if it is a train station or an airport. This grand station have 3 floor with 26 platforms Since it is the big station, Newcomers face a lot of confusion, so it is best to seek help from the security guards there.

First experience arriving at and experiencing the largest train station in Southeast Asia. It's very spacious, but the directional signs were very helpful. There are many seats to wait, food and drink vendors, lockers to store belongings, toilets, and shower areas. Unfortunately, some toilets (in the men's area) had a lot of waste that wasn't flushed."

Traveling is much more convenient. The trains are on time and you can connect to the Skytrain. However, the trains often arrive at 4:00 AM, and the Skytrain isn't running yet. You'll have to take a taxi. The place is spacious, with plenty of restrooms. There's also a shop selling snacks and food.

Probably one of my favorite rail stations in Bangkok, Khrung Thep Aphiwat is massive and covers a huge area. It’s the main hub for inter-province and international rail travel, so if you’re heading out of Bangkok this is where you’ll likely start. We took the sleeper train from here to Vientiane, Laos, and the experience was great from start to finish. The beds were comfortable, the ride was smooth, and I barely felt any shaking at all. Waking up to a sunrise over Thailand’s northern provinces was such a beautiful bonus. The station itself is very convenient. There are shower rooms if you want to freshen up before a long overnight ride, plenty of food shops to grab a meal, and lots of charging outlets. The sleeper trains also have charging ports, so staying connected on the trip isn’t a problem. Overall it made our journey easy and memorable, and I’d definitely choose this route again.

Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station (Bang Sue Grand Station) is absolutely massive — honestly, it feels more like an airport than a railway station. The scale of the place is almost overwhelming at first, with its vast halls and multiple floors. Everything is modern, clean, and well-organized, which makes navigating easy despite its huge size. While waiting for my train, I tried one of the paid massage chairs, and it was a great way to relax during the wait. Facilities like these show how the station is really built for comfort, not just function. Overall, it’s a very impressive transportation hub — clean, efficient, and clearly built with the future in mind. Perfect gateway for rail travel in Thailand.

The new train station in Bangkok is impressive. Krung Thep Apiwat Central Terminal. When arriving there from the street side I first thought I had been dropped off at an airport. The terminal is huge, clean, has a food court and several shopping opportunities of you need something for your trip. In the food court there is a place selling chicken byriyani. The sauce is so good. Highly recommended.
