Beautiful Monastery with very welcoming priests and residents. We did a brief visit and although we were late we were allowed to see inside. No photos are allowed inside

What a scenic setting. So beautiful, tranquil and the monastery is definitely worth your visit. Well looked after and the sheep grazing in the grounds made for cute pictures.

My visit to Krušedol Monastery was one of those experiences that feels both grounding and inspiring. The quiet around it is almost unreal, and it sets such a calm vibe right as you arrive. The frescoes inside are absolutely stunning, with these colorful, centuries-old stories that give the place a feeling of timelessness. Walking through the monastery, you really get a sense of how much this spot has weathered and how it’s become a big part of Serbian heritage. And since the monastery is such an important piece of Serbian culture, buying something from the small gift shop felt like a way to support that heritage. The monks make a few things, like honey and icons, which are not only meaningful souvenirs but also help them keep the monastery going. If you’re in the area, it’s so worth stopping by. It’s not just a visit; it feels like a chance to step out of the rush and connect with a place that’s kept its roots for centuries.

The monastery of Holy Fruska Gora, Krušedol, was established subsequent to the decline of the medieval Serbian state, serving as vital spiritual sanctuaries where Christian faith and love for Jesus Christ were preserved and nurtured during the extended period of Ottoman rule spanning three and a half centuries.

Cool monastery and wall paintings. It was authentic that they did not refurbish or they did it in a way that it still looks old and ancient. It is not allowed to take photos inside.

Pretty monastery. Was undergoing maintenance and building. Was nice to dip my arm in the healing spring. Peaceful place, good to recharge and remember the important things in life.
