Krystal Bistro offers traditional Czech cuisine with a modern twist. I love the changing menu, it’s always different when I visit and no matter what I’ve ordered it’s flavorful, fresh and nicely presented. Waiters speak perfect English too. As a starter we shared the croquettes and the pork belly spread (latter is like a mix of Bavarian Obazda and Schmalz) perfect with the bread. The truffle tartare was a good portion for a main and not overwhelming truffle taste. The dessert of strawberry dumplings were the best my husband ever had (he is Czech so take his word) very ligjt and fluffy not heavy at all and 3 pieces was perfect for two.

Absolutely the best steak tartare I’ve ever had — we tried the French-style and the truffle one... absolutely top-notch. On top of that, friendly service and a great atmosphere... it definitely won’t be our last visit!

A lovely dinner in a cute little restaurant. The food was a mix of Czech with a French touch. I ordered the Schnitzel which was delicious! Their homemade hummus was also very good and so was their citrus lemonade.

We went there on a chilly rainy day. It was definitely one of the highlights during our Prague trip. We had autumn salad, lamb stew, and smashed burger. Everything is perfect. I want to thank the Chef who made this good food, so we could walk in the rain in a good mood.

I came here for dinner with my family and everything we ordered was delicious. Our favorites were the onion soup and chicken croquettes. However what we appreciated most of all was the kindness and hospitality of the waiters. They accommodated some seats for my grandmother who is a wheelchair and even gifted us some treats for breakfast! Thank you so much ! Next time we are in Prague we will be back.

Outstanding meal, best restaurant we ate at in Prague. Beer was brilliant and the service was top class. Would highly recommend. Deer back was superb

Don’t waste your time, avoid this place. The food is good, but not worth the trouble. They have quite weird approach to assigning the tables. Check other complains, I’m not alone in this problem. It doesn’t make sense to reserve a table there. We reserved one and were seated in a small room between two large groups, so we couldn’t hear each other or enjoy our dinner in general. There were other empty tables near the entrance, and they were not reserved. But for some reason we couldn’t seat there. Also, the place could be half empty, but they still refuse to find you a table.

The onion soup was incredibly tasty, the schnitzel and the bœuf bourguignon a delight. The excellent service and the delicious dessert rounded off the evening and the culinary experience perfectly. Oh and the non-alcoholic beer is also highly recommended!

Yelp
Delish food. Pleasant ambiente. Fine service. What else can we wish for? Oh yea, good value/money as well :). Výborné jídlo, příjemné prostředí a dobrý servis. Co víc si jen přát? Oo ano, dobrý poměr cena/kvalita je to zrovna tak. :)

Yelp
What a fabulous find! The escargot was "last meal" good, the schnitzel a taste of heaven and the desserts...there are no words. The mussels were a special and were very good but the schnitzel was better. The staff couldn't have been nicer and my only regret is that the commute from the US to Prague is too far to be here every week. DONT MISS THIS GEM!

Yelp
This place was amazing. One of the best meals I've had anywhere mostly suggested by my waiter. Duck confit cooked sous vide for 12 hours then cooked again to crisp the duck's skin. Served with gnocchi in a pumpkin sauce. With salad of coriander greens, arugula, chile, and fennel. Delicious! I started with beef tartare that was also amazing. Even before that the restaurant offered an amuse bouche of smelly cheese. The wait service was excellent. My waiter recommended an excellent local pinot noir with the appetizer and local craft beer with the duck. I ended the meal with plum dumpling which had poppy seeds, stewed plum in a dumpling with walnut plum sauce topped with farmer cheese. The cafe Americano I had was also great.

Yelp
The guy at the front counter was quite rude to us. (But that seems to just be the Czech way.) We walked into a half empty restaurant looking for a particular dish. He informed us that the restaurant was filled and they didn't have room for us. Umm, okay? Then why are there so many empty seats? We decided to order the food to go. When we got the bag there wasn't any cutlery in it. We asked for cutlery and he said they didn't have any. What kind of a restaurant doesn't include (or at least offer) plastic cutlery to to-go guests? Disappointed I ate the food with my hands. It wasn't even that good, either. My grandma makes it better. I threw half of it away.

Yelp
I enjoyed it all. When The Swede orders lox, I groaned but to my surprise it was fairly refreshing served with pomegranate and mangoes . I'm going to start this pairing at home. We ordered the specials for dinner and both were solid. Duck breast with balsamic vinaigrette. Entrecote with sunchokes chips provided nice texture and flavor. I really enjoyed the in-house sea buckthorn lemonade. Sea buckthorn has recently made an appearance in The States as a "super food" and cosmestics additive but is fairly common in this part of the world.

Yelp
Okay spot. Lunch had maybe 7 menu items. Service was slow and very dry. "What do you want". I've noticed that might be a common restaurant introduction in Prague. The mashed potatoes were amazing but the meatloaf, terrible. Very chunky and felt like it came out of a can like Spam. We will not be visiting this spot again.

Yelp
Krystal bistro was our favorite restaurant in Prague. The service and meal were most contemporary and hip, feeling like a spot in Brooklyn or Berlin. Tomas, our waiter, was so kind to us and knowledgeable of each ingredient in our delicious meals, and his perfect English made it easy for us to order. Reservations are a must as it is cozy with no bar seating. There is outdoor sidewalk seating in pleasant weather. We enjoyed the delicious grilled cheese and Bob's bacon tartine for a starter along with the season's first asparagus. Our main courses were traditional veal schnitzel with delicious potato salad and the lamb kabob with couscous. For dessert, the dumpling is a must. One dumpling is perfect to share. Lastly the regional white wine was also perfect with the meal. We have recommended Krystal to many friends living in and visiting Prague already!

Yelp
I really enjoyed my meal here. The server was super sweet and the service was fast. (May have been due to the fact that so arrived 30 minutes before closing.) The server recommended the French onion soup and the duck confit. Both were excellent. I had the dumpling with quark and strawberries for dessert. That was good as well.

Yelp
Wine quality could be better, didn't try anything else there but the location is nice and personnel was friendly as well

Yelp
Creative, modern Czech cuisine with French touch. Great drinks as well. Very nice for a business lunch or group lunch as well! Friendly service, not overpriced. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Honestly one of the best restaurants I've eaten at. Chicken was amazing. Apricot dumpling is also amazing

Yelp
The pumpkin soup was so good. I really liked their sirloin special with creamy potatoes. Their pumpkin cheesecake and plum dessert was so tasty. Very friendly service.

Yelp
I have eaten lunch at Krystal a few times since I've been in Prague and will keep coming back. They are very pleasant here, the food is good, they accept major credit cards, and they really know their menu which helps for someone not from this country.

Yelp
Had dinner here last night, and I must say it was awesome! Great food and friendly fluent English service. The menu is short but diverse and easy to find something for most palettes. I had the beef tartare and lamb shank. A lot for one dinner. The wine by the glass is also quite good so you don't need a bottle to enjoy a good meal.
