K's House Ito Onsen

The building is old, the floor are VERY squeaky, but it's beautiful. The staff are friendly and explain everything, the other guests are generally nice and you can make new friends. There's a kitchen to cook in. There are lots of community seating options on 1F. It's on the side of the river, wonderful view of bamboo lanterns and reflections at night. The mixed dorm had a comfortable balcony. The private onsen are fantastic, available when it's not being used, no extra fee. I really wish I stayed here longer

My 2-night stay at K’s House Ito Onsen was wonderful. The traditional shared room and common area were great with a nice view of the river. The private onsen also offered comfort after a long day of sightseeing. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I accidentally left my coat behind after check out. After informing them via email, they kindly took the time to ship it to my next accommodation. Overall, I would highly recommend K-House Ito Onsen to anyone visiting the area!

K's House in Ito was the perfect stay for our arrival in Izu Peninsula. The building itself is gorgeous, right on the river, and central to the rest of the town. The staff were lovely and welcoming and there were other travelers from all over the world. My highlights were the room itself with a view of the river and comfy futons that you roll out when you are ready to sleep, and the onsen. The peaceful onsen is the perfect temperature and the water left my skin feeling soft and my muscles relaxed after a long travel day. I would definitely stay here again!

I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 days’ stay at K’s House Ito Onsen. I stayed in the spacious family room with indoor balcony and view of the river. The room is so nice with sliding doors and wood carvings. Heating is good as well as the WiFi. There is a shared onsen as well as two private ones which I enjoyed after sightseeing. Very relaxing indeed! The common spaces are very cosy. Well equipped kitchen. Washing machines and dryers for which I received a free voucher because of my long stay. Very friendly staff. The hostel is within walking distance of the station which is convenient for traveling by train and bus. All in all I would like to come and stay again.

It’s one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in all of our travels. Brings you back to where the Japanese people stayed before all the modern day living. The place is so beautiful and the best part is the hot spring water where you can enjoy. A very relaxing stay for me and my wife. By the way, the staff are mostly bilingual and very pleasant to interact with!

We were very happy with our stay overall. The building is a historic landmark and it is very beautiful. The onsen’s are amazing, they have private onsen and the public one, my family and I used both and we felt comfortable the entire time. The common rooms below give you great views of the river outside and our room was facing it as well so we enjoyed that part also. Only downsides I can provide is that the building itself is loud, you can hear all walking steps and people talking in your room. We were on the second floor of the building so it was a bit difficult to remain asleep for long. The beds are ok, the cushions used could be of better quality. Aside from these negatives I can only say good things about this place, kitchen was useful and had everything you needed even though it gets busy at points. You will enjoy your time here if not in the building you can explore all the outside that the area has to offer. Very affordable prices!

Gorgeous building in a great location easily walkable from the train station. The staff are very welcoming and the common areas are comfortable and offer a lovely river view. My partner and I were in a traditional room with a shared toilet and a small enclosed patio facing the river. There was a heater that warmed the room nicely when needed. The simplicity and handiwork of the traditional tatami room is stunning and we wish we could have stayed more nights.

A very traditional onsen in Ito. We booked a room with a private washroom, and it was spacious with a lovely river view. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It’s a great place to stay and well worth the money. They offer both private and public onsen baths, as well as a common area where you can enjoy breakfast and dinner. There is also a kitchen available—you can buy food, store it in the fridge, and cook your own meals. A microwave is provided as well.

K's House Itō Onsen was a fantastic place to stay. The 100+ year old wooden building is gorgeous inside and out. Our tatami room was on the third floor and had sliding shoji doors that opened into a small engawa overlooking a view of the river. The private onsen (for hotel guests only, but shared amongst them) in the basement is a highlight and the reason we chose to stay there. The location is great--close to the train station (3 minute cab ride) and surrounded by great bars and restaurants. All the staff were wonderful and helpful too.

It was a lovely stay. We slept on the Tatami mats with the Traditional Futon. It was clean and neat. The staff were great. Our room overlooked a calm river. I highly recommend and hope to come back.

K'a House Ito Onsen is a beautiful 100-year Old onsen which has been converted into a hostel, so it's so much more than what I'd expected. Location wise, it's near the JR station and also the Orange Beach. The interior is lovely and there's a comfortable lounge with a kotatsu where boarders gathered in the evening to chat and share tidbits. We enjoyed making friends from other countries and sharing travel stories. We had a good room which came en-suite with a bath and toilet. At night, we laid out our futons and had a bath at the Onsen before retiring for the night. We also stored our luggage here while we went exploring Jogasaki Coast and Mount Omuro. K's House had the itinerary posted on the kitchen noticeboard and we followed the advise for a really great day out.

Absolutely Amazing hostel! I cannot believe I was able to stay here for hostel prices. This is a beautiful 100 year old building turned into a hostel. The entire place is Japanese rokyan style and has a built in onsen (which is incredible). They will also provide you with japanese robes, have towel rentals, laundry facitlies and a kitchen (they also give you free jam in the mornings for your toast which is awesome! High recommend staying here if you travel to Japan - super relaxing experience!
