Thank you and THANK YOU!! I’m so blessed to have stayed in this hostel. I traveled with my husband and my 4 year old in December. During our stay, I had an emergency situation. The hostel staff helped out by calling ambulance, accompanied us to the hospital and helped translate. When we felt so helpless in face of this unforeseeable life event, the hostel owner told us not to worry about accommodation, they will make arrangements. At the end, I was transferred to another hospital which is an hour away from this hostel and undergone a major abdominal surgery. It took me a month to heal and get back to my new normal. I feel so much better now and want to drop a few words here to let people know how friendly the staff are! Though we only stayed one night (booked three nights) and had to end our trip early, it’s still one of the most memorable moments that me and my husband would talk about from time to time. We met great people (other travelers) while we cook in the kitchen and in the common area. We chat and had a great time. Thank you K’s house!

I was looking forward my stay here and it not disappoint. Ito is a very small and calm town, so it's definitely a good getaway location from the big cities people usually visit. The hostel is located right in the middle of the town and walking distance to anything you could want. The staff was amazing and the building is beautiful, old style Japanese architecture and very relaxing, with some cozy places to relax and chill by the window and in the sun, not to mention the Onsen. Overall I would definitely recommend this, met some amazing and caring people at the hostel and some random bars in town and I will carry those experiences with me forever.

I am very curious about the owner of K house. It is a hostel that cares about customers even for small things. Also, All staff very nice. This is the true Japan. If you want to feel Japan, come here. I hope you feel comfortable that you have never felt in your busy daily life. I love this place so much that I extended one more day. I usually don't leave a Google review, but I must leave Google here. Thank you so much!

Welcoming staff, well kept building, very clean, beautiful views. Close to many delicious food spots and views. Short and simple way to the train station. Was an honor to stay in such a well kept and traditional ryokan!

Very beautiful place to stay. Welcoming and friendly, staff are very helpful. You can tell it hasn’t changed much over the years and feels like a part of history. I especially liked the lounge/kitchen for guests and the private onsen bath. This was my first time in Japan and the other places I stayed did not have private baths, only showers. I was uncomfortable using the public one so I didn’t get to try it until K’s. It is nice and well maintained. The bath looks small in the photos online, but it is actually a good size for one person (much bigger/deeper than a bath tub.) It is good for foreigners like me who are uncomfortable in a public bath, just make sure to observe all the same manners you would in a public onsen! 😊 Overall I really enjoyed staying at K’s House!

This might be the best value place I’ve ever stayed. I got a private room, which was very elegant and clean. The onsen water was by far the best I’ve experienced in Japan and did wonders for my skin. The staff are helpful and friendly and there is complimentary tea and coffee. Nice views and close to lots of lovely spots. As good as some places three times as expensive in similar locations.

It was so beautiful waking up to the view of the river. The building is authentic and the staff were helpful and friendly. It was easy to find a small nook to enjoy some time in the common areas. The communal kitchen was a bit small and crowded in the morning. They do have a kitchen upstairs but you can't cook in it. It is well located in Ito and we enjoyed our stay. My mother found the noise from the rain and wind quite loud but they kindly provided ear plugs. The best thing we did was to stop at the little thrift store run by a sweet older lady on the other side of Tokaikan. She has so many treasures and at very reasonable prices! I took home a yukata for 500 yen!

Yelp
K's House Itō Onsen was a fantastic place to stay. The 100+ year old wooden building is gorgeous inside and out. Our tatami room was on the third floor and had sliding shoji doors that opened into a small engawa overlooking a view of the river. The private onsen (for hotel guests only, but shared amongst them) in the basement is a highlight and the reason we chose to stay there. The location is great--close to the train station (3 minute cab ride) and surrounded by great bars and restaurants. All the staff were wonderful and helpful too.

Yelp
It was a lovely stay. We slept on the Tatami mats with the Traditional Futon. It was clean and neat. The staff were great. Our room overlooked a calm river. I highly recommend and hope to come back.

Yelp
K'a House Ito Onsen is a beautiful 100-year Old onsen which has been converted into a hostel, so it's so much more than what I'd expected. Location wise, it's near the JR station and also the Orange Beach. The interior is lovely and there's a comfortable lounge with a kotatsu where boarders gathered in the evening to chat and share tidbits. We enjoyed making friends from other countries and sharing travel stories. We had a good room which came en-suite with a bath and toilet. At night, we laid out our futons and had a bath at the Onsen before retiring for the night. We also stored our luggage here while we went exploring Jogasaki Coast and Mount Omuro. K's House had the itinerary posted on the kitchen noticeboard and we followed the advise for a really great day out.

Yelp
Absolutely Amazing hostel! I cannot believe I was able to stay here for hostel prices. This is a beautiful 100 year old building turned into a hostel. The entire place is Japanese rokyan style and has a built in onsen (which is incredible). They will also provide you with japanese robes, have towel rentals, laundry facitlies and a kitchen (they also give you free jam in the mornings for your toast which is awesome! High recommend staying here if you travel to Japan - super relaxing experience!
