The 12 Best Pho Restaurants In Los Angeles

"Finding great soup in Koreatown is easy. Finding great pho, however, means wading through a lot of mediocrity. Cut your search and head to Ktown Pho. This tiny Vietnamese cafe on Western makes the best pho in the neighborhood and considering the wait you’ll find on the weekends, we aren’t the only ones who think so. The menu has ten varieties including oxtail, chicken, and even vegan, but your order needs to be the wagyu. Protein at pho shops can sometimes be an afterthought, but the rich and buttery wagyu here makes the already fragrant broth even more flavorful. An order also comes with four ounces of meat, validating the $18 price.  " - nikko duren, brant cox, garrett snyder, sylvio martins

The Pandemic’s Devastating Toll on Koreatown Restaurants in Los Angeles - Eater LA

"Koreatown restaurants that don’t specialize in Korean cuisine are also suffering. “We’re a small family-owned business and the restaurant is our main source of income,” says Khanh Tan, owner of Ktown Pho, a small Vietnamese restaurant that opened in 2017." - Patricia Kelly Yeo

Google
I ordered my food online and picked it up once it was ready. I ordered the wagyu pho and it tastes amazing. It's packed with lots of flavors and the broth is just right. I also order the chicken fried rice which is the best rice I've ever had. There was a little mistake concerning my order and the customer service was amazing. Helping me come to a solution and very caring. I'll definitely be ordering from them again. It seems to me they really care about their customers

Google
It’s an interesting entryway. There’s parking in the back but I just found street parking. You first walk in before you turn left and then the pho restaurant is to your right. I came alone but the staff was super friendly! I got the filet mignon pho with a Thai iced tea. I love that they add sliced ginger on top. The Thai tea was a bit too sweet but the ice evened it out. I enjoyed coming here and I’m glad I took a long drive to try it out!

Google
I had the vegan pho, and it was delicious. Everything was as it should be. Tasty and fresh. Good flavor, huge portion. Great spot if you love pho. They have many more varieties. If you don't prefer the soup, they do have big salads with everything in.

Google
Pro: - More lime is free - “Comparable to OC pho” but maybe at 80% - Flavorful chili oil - Quick & friendly service Con: - Ran out of basil - Music is a wee bit loud - No eggroll combo because they ran out - More onion is $1. They don’t discount for having no basil but they charge for onions? 😞

Google
This was one of if not the best bowl of pho I’ve ever had in all of America I added tendon to my pho and it was some of the nicest cleanest pieces of tendon I’ve ever had in pho And the ox tail was INSANE 100% worth the price

Google
A little bit of a hole in the wall since it is hidden in a building that almost looks abandoned. However, they specialize in pho and do a great job at it. Really nice broth that is clean and light. Hits the spot and is great as a recovery meal. The food came out pretty quick since it’s what they do. Parking can be a bit of a pain, but that is pretty much all of K-Town. Overall, a good pho spot if you’re looking for one here.

Google
The pho here is the best I’ve ever had, and i’ve been to phoholic! definitely recommend the house pho, the texture of the beef is something else, haven’t tried much else on menu besides pho though!

Google
PROS: - Excellent food: Pho was delicious. Broth was extremely flavorful and rich. - Short wait times: We were seated right away, and the food was brought out to us quickly. - Great service: Our server was very nice and pleasant. - Atmosphere and ambiance: Excellent! The restaurant was quite clean. - Price was great! About $15 for a very generous bowl of pho (portions were large). No cons! :) Would I come here again? YES

Yelp
Vegan Option was the best! I truly enjoyed the bowl of pho. Nice and chill ambiance indoors, quaint little spot on Western appealing to all walks. Make sure to specify the type of vegetarian rolls you'd like for an appetizer. It might be fried when you're not expecting it to be. I'll be back here next time I have a craving.

Yelp
Was in the ktown area today and decided to try this pho place. As usual I got a beef soup with shrimp. It was solid. Pretty good. Solid 4 out of 5. Will definitely come back again when in the area and try some more food. It's nice that they've got enough tables inside and outside the little restaurant. Service is fair. Could use some Xtra attention.

Yelp
I looked up this Pho spot on a whim due to my aunt visiting me out of the blue. I had been working in LA for some time now,and my cravings for a hearty pho had to be satisfied. Here I am years later revisiting this spot, and it's still as delicious as I remember it being!!! The Ambiance is nice, very casual, and clean. This is the kind of establishment you go to by yourself for with 1 other person since most of the seating accommodates 1-2 people, and it's a small and intimate place. If you come here with more than 2 people I would suggest a group of 4 MAX.Cause this place can get packed very quickly and for good reason!! The Pho is fresh fragrant, and the broth is rich and light;it's very clear that a lot of time was put into making it. Service is friendly, as well as attentive, and the owner of the restaurant is very kind and personable. This is my favorite pho spot in the city without a doubt. The beverages are also quite tasty as well! I had a small Thai Tea while my partner ordered a large passion fruit lemonade.(unfortunately not pictured) For (1) Bowl of the House special, (1) Bowl of Ox Tail Pho, and (2) Beverages it cost about $50 not including tip. And it's very much worth it in my opinion.Definitely check them out if you find yourself in the K-Town area.

Yelp
Had the pho tai and bun bo hue. Excellent service and very quick to deliver food. Very solid pho but on the pricier side for what they offer in size, flavor, and ambience. Overall a good choice and I would go back but you can definitely find similar quality for cheaper.

Yelp
I thought I was a ramen queen until I tried pho. I had pho two days go from a different location and since I am still trying to recover from a bad cold my bf decided it was a good idea to have it again. My truly only task was to find the place near home. I found ktown pho through my trusted experts here at yelp and I have to say they didn't disappoint. I called in a to go order and within less than 15 minutes it was ready. The restaurant has a designated pick up area that just tells you is that good. I ordered the filet mignon pho and my bf had the chicken. The filet mignon was fresh and tender. It was a hearty soup that warms you up after a cold day out.

Yelp
Food 5/5: I've been craving really GOOD pho for a while now and thankfully I came to try Ktown pho. The soup is very soothing, and the meat was melting inside my mouth. The appetizer we got were the 4 spring rolls (not fried) and it was very delicious. Service 5/5: quick service as any pho restaurant should be Ambiance 3/5 just a diner setting, good for eating alone, with friends and family I would definitely come again!

Yelp
It was bomb as pho! Service is amazing, ambiance is chill af but it does get busy on the weekends

Yelp
Ktown pho has some of the best pho I've ever had!! I tried the raw steak pho and I was so surprised by how hearty and flavorful the broth was. They also gave a really good amount of meat and it was just a big bowl of comfort! Service is friendly and fast, prices are good. The restaurant is on the smaller side but people come in and out really quickly.
google avatar

Caress S.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the service was great! The broth tastes authentic and we Definitely will return. We also ordered the spring rolls and fried rolls.

Yelp
The best spots in LA are usually places you don't expect. The ambiance is definitely chill local spot vibes. The flavors are delightful and the service is decent. Also good for to go orders.

Yelp
Best pho in k town. I tried like 5 times and it is never disappointing. They have reasonable price and service is always good too.

Yelp
I found my favorite pho in LA! The restaurant is a "hole in the wall" type place, probably ~10 tables or so only. The decor is so-so, this place is all about the food. The service was very good. Bit of warning - parking can be a bit tough. I ordered the house special pho, which is topped with 4 oz of wagyu filet steak. 5/5. The beef was flavorful and very tender. The broth is very, very good. If I'm being nitpicky, there was a hint of sweetness I could have done without, but again, this is the best pho I've had in LA. The portion size might be a bit smaller than other Ktown pho places, but only slightly. More than makes up for that with the flavor. The pho was a 5, the decor is only so-so, so overall, the 4.5 rating for this restaurant is justified. I have not problem rounding up to a 5. Look forward to the next time!

Yelp
The viet food here has soooo much msg left me thirsty the whole day....Didn't taste as authentic as people rave about. The bun bo barely had lemongrass smell and flavoring...? It didn't have really a true bun ho hue smell or taste to me. I have had better instant bbh... there's an option to get beef shank or ox tail but not both? I saw in a picture only two ox tails were given. So I went with the beef shank option, it was cheaper too. The meat was thin, hard, not flavorful. Was absolutely not worth it. The service was non existent and at the end you have to go up and ask for your check. Some guy next to my table kept having to come up and asking them for items. The guy server handed me my water touching the mouth of the water bottle... luckily I brought my own water

Yelp
This place doesn't even need any more 5 star reviews because clearly people get it! I've been coming here religiously each week with my boyfriend for the past couple years--we cannot get enough!!! My favorite pho spot of all time. Broth is so flavorful, meat is good quality and the service is the best (we love our Loki, Daisy & Danielle) They just swapped their plastic water cups for paper and I could give them a 6th star just for that! Don't miss out on this place. It's the bomb!

China C.

Yelp
Oxtails weren't extremely tender but it still still good. Broth was good. They didn't have any mints or basil for pho that day. Thai tea was rich and creamy. It was delicious. The staff is nice. Parking is easy on the street and free. The fried egg rolls were fresh and delicious. The shrimp fresh spring rolls were good but mostly lettuce. This is my new spot in La.

Yelp
|[ p h o r e a l ]| Really yummy!! A hole in the wall, this somewhat hidden gem is small but with quick efficient service and delicious pho/broth. We got seafood and house special phos and the portions were enough to get us full. Also got pork sausage patty spring rolls that came with a sweet sauce, also not bad. Not superior to pho places in the south side (also more expensive) but decent for the craving. Noodles soft and chewy just how I like. |[ n o t e z ]| Came on a weekday morning so it was not crowded and service was super quick! Parking lot is small and tight so I imagine this being hard in busier times (but it's ktown so yea..). Prices on the steeper end for pho tbh but if I'm in the area craving pho I'll have this place in mind.

Yelp
Aug 2023 Pretty solid. We stopped in for semi recovery and prep. Thankfully we were able to catch a table in the walkway for our large group. Service was helpful with any questions, water refills infrequent. We got a couple summer rolls for the table to share, I had ordered the vegan pho and a couple banh mi to go (tofu and chicken). The summer rolls were interesting. I liked the grilled pork and the balance between the ingredients. The vegan pho was good. The broth was pretty hot, and there was a good amount and variety of veggies in it. The broth itself was a little plain to me though but nothing like oyster sauce and sriracha to pep things up. The banh mi later were ok. I wanted more balance in it and pickled veggies to be honest. The flavors worked and the tofu was prepared well but just the pickled veggies were lacking. The chicken also had good flavor but again, same issue.

Yelp
Stopped by Ktown pho and ordered some pho to go. It's been a while since we have came here. Boy the taste has changed. It's gotten very oily. You could taste the oil. And even after drowning the bean sprout and onion in the soup, it was still very noticeable. We had take out so nothing can be said about how the service was.

Kk ..

Yelp
The food is amazing I love this pho you might experience a long wait time but it's worth it I recommend getting the wagu pho with tai tea it's there most popular!!
google avatar

Micky N.

Yelp
I guess it's one of the better pho spots in the area? But I'm still disappointed by another ktown pho joint. The wait was really long for a Friday night, as expected. We waited around 45 minutes to be seated. We sat in the hallway, which was fine! The waiters were still pretty attentive even though we weren't in the main dining room. I ordered the pho dac biet and my husband ordered the pho tai - both of our usual orders at every pho place. The broth was okay at best, not as beefy as I would like it! However, it was better than a lot of places in ktown because they don't overcompensate with the spices. They gave a good amount of meat. They do not have vinegar onions, which makes the pho for me. Overall, I wouldn't come back, but it's an okay spot if you're looking for pho in the immediate area. I would drive a bit futher and go to Pho 87 personally.
google avatar

Cece L.

Yelp
Ordered the combination pho and my husband ordered the house pho. Combination pho broth was more spice flavored vs the house pho. Combination pho had too much stringy tripe for my liking. They give a lot of meat and noodles in the bowl and love that they don't skimp on the sliced onions. Definitely will come back for pho when in the area.
google avatar

Stephen Y.

Yelp
I would say in my humble opinion that this place is 5/5 stars. pho-nomenal wagyu pho! also got the chicken pho, fried rice, banh mi, oxtail soup, summer roll, autumn roll, and sodas. not a bad item on the menu, my dudes! I wouldn't lead you astray! bamboo decorations throughout the restaurant too, a nice touch! p.s. cool POKEMONS near the cash register to boot!
google avatar

alexandra k.

Yelp
This is place is a bit of a hole in the wall, but a hidden gem! I actually visited a shop in the same strip, and didn't even realize it was here! I ordered the filet mignon pho, and everything was delicious, the broth flavorful and clear. I would have liked more of the sides veg/mint -- although to be fair I didn't ask for more. Would recommend!
google avatar

Maggie M.

Yelp
slow service , small space , difficult to spot a parking space , food is good nothing exceptional
google avatar

Carey I.

Yelp
I'm not a connoisseur of Bahn mi, just a fan. And I was shocked when I ordered from ktown pho. It's not every day that you find a pho place that serves banh mi. And I think there's a reason for that. The pork was cooked really well, and the baguette was pretty decent. And even though they put too much cilantro on top, I took some off and it was fine as far as the portions of the veggie meat and bread it was a little lopsided from what I'm used to. It was a delicious sandwich, and it definitely fulfilled my craving. As far as being the best bánh mì, I've ever had, well. If I'm in the area again, I'm definitely gonna try something else. I just wish parking was a little bit more easier although I'm asking a lot considering it is K town and if I lived in the area I'm sure I would be going quite often.

Violeta V.

Yelp
Service was excellent and pho was rich and packed with flavor. Definitely stop by if you're craving warm soup on a cold day! My partner got the filet mignon pho and it was just as delicious! Highly recommend this spot!
google avatar

Kathy G.

Yelp
The pho was so good and light. Definitely a pick me up treat when it's cloudy and cold

Amir E.

Yelp
BEST PHO IN LA!!! Hands down. I've tried so many places, and nothing comes close to Ktown pho. The best.
google avatar

Sunny Y.

Yelp
Served its purpose. Pho was good. Place was tiny but had enough tables to sit a few groups. Offered seating in the hallway, only concern is that it can get loud with conversations.
google avatar

Kiki K.

Yelp
solid place for pho! most pho places i've tried in LA has just been okay but I decently enjoyed the food here! I got the combination pho and the flavor was rich and delicious. there is plenty of seating and I was able to be seated right away when I arrived. the server was friendly and attentive as well

Daisy S.

Yelp
I came with my friends to try this pho spot 10/10 recommend, get oxtail pho and Thai tea, friends pho ever!

Yelp
First time having PHO after Virtually Craving it for some time, Mission accomplished and cravings satisfied

Yelp
Pretty decent bahn mi. Was missing the mayo and siracha. Small spot with limited seating but super friendly service. I got the Vietnamese coffee and a grilled pork bahn mi.
google avatar

Yelp
Thumbs up for sure My go to Pho is always Pho Legend but I head lots of compliments about this place. So! I decided to try and its also right in front of my place :) At first it was hard to find where it was but I found it Friendly servers. Fast and quick. It was empty at first then it started to fill real fast. Im glad I made it on time. Its small cozy. Still looks clean and employee is constantly cleaning the area O.O Food was yes... also amazing loved it. Even had to order extra noodle for it. Definitely coming back for it. Thank you!
google avatar

Cat F.

Yelp
This is one of the best pho in LA. It is a small restaurant in the heart of KTown. I heard about the establishment through someone and wanted to give it a try. After the first time, I was so pleased and surprised to find a pho spot in LA that is as good as my favorite spot in Orange County. Everything from Pho, BBH, Banh Mi to rolls is delicious. The broth is tasty and the meat is so soft. They give enough meat and the bowl is just right. If you are in the area. Give it a try. I believe you will not be disappointed.
google avatar

Emery Y.

Yelp
OMG. What a find! This place is *awesome*. Having lived in the SGV for almost 2 decades, I've gained an appreciation for the nuance and depth of a great pho and this place delivers! The parking is absurd, the prices a touch aggressive, the digs a bit sketchy lookin but damn that place is delicious and I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Milton A.

Yelp
This place was really good. I talked to a couple of people there to ask which was their favorite bowl, and the most common answer was, all of them. At that point I figured there was no way I could go wrong. I decided on the combo pho. It's been several days since I had it and I am ready to go back. The broth was delicious, finished all of it. The meats and noodles were just as good. I highly recommend this place. Maybe ill see you there haha
google avatar

Janet M.

Yelp
This restaurant has some of the most delicious, authentic pho I've ever had! The owner gave us a lot of helpful recommendations and provided us with background information on handmade sauces. The service was fantastic. Please give the sauté sauce a try; it is delicious! The atmosphere was wonderful and felt really warm.
google avatar

Yuri Y.

Yelp
Came here @ night after work & it's a small quaint restaurant. The soup was flavorful & delicious, it was definitely more herb-y than the other pho spots in Ktown The service was quick & efficient
google avatar

Tina S.

Yelp
Good food and great customer service! Aman was very attentive and courteous. We ordered the house pho, porkchop with rice and we got egg rolls too. The challenging part was the parking, eventhough they had a parking lot, it is really small and packed and sidestreets were full. It was a good experience. A warm soup is perfect especially on a cold weather. We'll be back soon!
google avatar

Rodrigo M.

Yelp
Cute, intimate, and the food was delicious! Our server was so adorable and sweet ! We had summer rolls which I never knew there was more than one season for these rolls but they were so yummy!

Lil M.

Yelp
What can I say about this place...DELICIOUS AND EVERYTHING THERE IS SO GOOD!! I always order takeout and never experienced dining in but heard about this place and didn't disappoint.
google avatar

Christina K.

Yelp
This is, hands down, the best pho joint in all of Koreatown + any neighborhoods within at least a 15 mile radius. It hits the spot each and every time. The broth consists of just enough oil/fat to produce the most amazing flavor, but it also tastes clean. There isn't any greasiness that lingers. I've tried a lot of different dishes over the years and I think one of their standouts is their bun bo hue. Just the thought of their bun bo hue makes me salivate enough to put out a wildfire. The owner is extremely friendly and personable. He's always checking up on the tables and making sure the patrons are satisfied. You can tell how much pride he has in everything he serves. Well deserved 5 stars
google avatar

Walter L.

Yelp
Not a lot of ambiance to this place but the Pho was as good as I have had. The service was what you would expect in a "hole in the wall" place which this is. Try it.
google avatar

Celest A.

Yelp
Best Pho in LA! It's a hidden gem without a doubt, it's small but the ambiance is cozy. Employees are friendly and attentive as well. I got the Filet Mignon Pho, the broth is exquisite, the meat is so soft and delicious. Overall just the best pho.
google avatar

Sian S.

Yelp
pretty good location in ktown w parking, not a lot of asian ppl there at all (working or patronizing) so i was a bit nervous but ended up being some of the better pho i've had in la
google avatar

Dean P.

Yelp
Pho is pretty good here. Portion is solid and they don't skimp on the meat. The only thing though is I think they might be using a good amount of MSG for their broth because I was mad thirsty a little while after eating here. Other than that though definitely would recommend this place.
google avatar

DIANA T.

Yelp
Got the wagyu beef pho and it was very flavorful. The broth was delicious and the meat was so tender all for $18. I recommend for a quick fix!!
