"Founded in 2000, back when the off-gold sands of Seminyak were surrounded by nothing but rice fields and fishing paraws, Ku De Ta, which bills itself as “Bali’s original sunset destination,” has seen it all. An open-plan restaurant with daybeds, a plunge pool, and a mellow soundtrack—you can still hear the breeze and waves out front—Ku De Ta offers a upmarket, unpretentious ambience cast in a sleek silhouette." - Xerxes Cook

We've visited Ku De Ta a couple of times recently, and both experiences were fantastic. Ku de Ta is the original (first) beach club in Seminyak. There’s no entry fee, which is a bonus. It is relatively paired back compared to other beach clubs and though it’s a few decades old, the music is great and so is the location. Our first visit was on a warm, steamy evening to celebrate a birthday. The atmosphere was vibrant and energetic, without feeling like a typical “doof doof” dance club. We sat on the upstairs balcony, enjoyed some cocktails, and soaked in the sunset while listening to live beach house music. The vibe was laid back and perfect! The food was delicious, the service outstanding, and the waitstaff went above and beyond to make our birthday celebration extra special. Our second visit was much more relaxed. It was around 1pm on a Sunday, following a morning of heavy rain. The venue was initially quiet, which suited us perfectly as we were winding down before our evening flight back to Melbourne. We had a fantastic table inside by the window with a beautiful view of the beach. The venue kindly stored our luggage while we enjoyed a leisurely 4-hour lunch of a delicious dip platter, followed by pasta and fajitas. We sipped on the cocktail of the month, enjoyed some wine, and relaxed while the DJ played. As the weather cleared up, the venue started to fill up, but the staff remained attentive and quick to replace my drink when a fly landed in it. We couldn't have asked for a better last day in Bali at Ku De Ta.

Absolutely loved this restaurant. Atmosphere was beautiful we came on a lovely night so we got to sit outside and watch the view. The food was amazing and probably one of my favourites in Bali but keep in mind it’s a bit pricey. Would 100% come back here

Went to Ku De Ta in Bali for a late dinner, and it was an amazing experience. The salmon was incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared, and the beef burger was cooked to perfection – super juicy and flavorful. The pastas were also incredibly delicious. Service was exceptional, and the views were absolutely stunning with the sea right in front of us. The music was great too, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable dining experience!

A place to go when in Bali. Best to get Grab car there. We enjoyed an evening with a good weather as it is the raining season in Bali. We get to finish our meal before it rained. We ordered the pan fried fish and their fusion curry noodles. Both was equally good and we enjoyed it. There is also kids meal, we ordered the margarita pizza and banana smoothie for our daughter. It was good too. We enjoyed the scenic sea view and quality family time together.

First time for me to go inside a beach club. It's quite big, no loud musics, just a place for you to hang outs with your family or friends. They have no MC (minimum charge) for dine in at the table or sofa, only have MC for the day bed (if you would like to swim or just sunbathing) approximately IDR 1.000.000 (60$). Quite many choices for food and drinks, we ordered like 1 pizza and 5 drinks (spent like IDR. 570.000 in total not that expensive). Pizza is weird for me as it is too greasy due to the pork fat (forgot the name as it is new menu. A better choice would be their princepessa .

We came by on a weeknight for dinner with no reservations for 2 people. It was no problem getting in and the service was great from the get go! Beautiful spot right by the water, where you can watch and hear the waves from many seats. The food was surprisingly extremely good, and the carbonara was an unexpected stand out dish! It was so good we came back the next night again. If you enjoy Italian influenced cuisine, this place was really quite great!

Great place to watch the sunset. Very relaxed. Great food and cocktails. Service was excellent. Little pricey, but you don't go there everyday, worth it for the experience. Will go back next time in Seminyak.

Reserved daybeds here from noon to 10pm hoping for a relaxing afternoon and fun evening but this was not the case. Our daybed was located right beside the speaker, which was playing loud beats with no words (there was no DJ before 4pm) and located in front of the pool, where children were playing and splashing. We had been under the impression that it was 21+ but this is not the case before a certain time, which was not advertised on their website meaning that teens, children and babies will be around most of the afternoon. The place gets really crowded at sunset time, which is understandable given the gorgeous view of the beach and the sun setting. The food and drinks were good but nothing special. However the service is excellent! The staff are warm and welcoming, attentive to all your needs.
