If you’re in Haleiwa on Oahu’s North Shore and craving a satisfying burger, **Kua Aina** is a must-visit. This local gem delivers big flavor and aloha spirit in every bite. I ordered the **3/4 lb bacon burger**, and it did not disappoint—juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The thick-cut bacon added a delicious smokiness, and the fresh toppings were crisp and generous. Paired with a refreshing Hawaiian fruit punch, it hit the spot after a day of exploring. My wife got the **avocado burger**, which was equally impressive. The avocado was fresh and creamy, and the patty was cooked just right. She loved how well the flavors came together, and we both appreciated the portion sizes—hearty without being overwhelming. The vibe at Kua Aina is casual and welcoming, with open-air seating that lets you enjoy the laid-back North Shore atmosphere. The staff was friendly and quick, and everything felt clean and well-kept. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Kua Aina is the kind of place that makes you want to come back. For a delicious burger with island charm, it’s easily one of the best spots in Haleiwa.

Google
The avocado and the pineapple burger were both very good with lots of flavor and hefty servings. The fries were very good as well. Would recommend visiting if you are in the area. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is the outside seating was full of flies and a little bit dirty with the other option being inside and it was simply too cold and crowded. Overall a great place.

Google
Kua Aina in Haleiwa has the best cheese burger I've ever had! We got a to go order. Thick piece of meat, generous and fresh tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and cheese. Comes with mayo. Got the shoe-string fries-very good and a small coleslaw, also good. My husband got the avocado sandwich. He said it was fantastic. See photos. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

Google
Had their burger for the first time after a surf sesh at Laniakea. The burger is solid, and surprisingly didn’t feel guilty eating it because it wasn’t greasy. The bun and fries could have been better.

Google
What a perfect burger! Definitely go for the 1/2 pound patty. We tried both the pineapple burger and the cheeseburger - both were fantastic! The pineapple burger was the standout, hitting the sweet, greasy and salty spot all at once. Nothing beats a mouthful of a juicy burger. This place is a must-visit!

I love the old time feel of this town and this eatery. Unfortunately, its burgers can use some improvements. The 1/2 pounder patty was dry and tough, and it also had not fully grinded cartilages that caused some teeth irritation. The staff was friendly and helpful. Small parking area out in front, but plenty more spaces in the back.

Google
The menu offers a variety of healthy options to choose from, which is a big plus. My only suggestion would be to include sides as part of the main order instead of offering them à la carte, or at least provide combo meal options for better value. Overall, the fries are freshly made, the salad is light and nutritious, and the sandwich is delicious and satisfying.

Google
Awesome Tuna steak sandwich and BLT Avocado on whole wheat, the best!! Nice friendly service. Ate outside with the feral chickens, beauties.

Elaine D.

Yelp
Kua' Aina has been serving since 1975, and it's no wonder they've been around so long. It's a cute little place. We ate outside with the chickens. You'll notice there are chickens everywhere on Oahu. I had their avocado burger. It was delicious. My friend ordered a BLT that looked good and the fries which were yummy. If you find yourself on the North Shore, do stop here. You won't be disappointed. 6 .

Yelp
As I started writing this review, I realized that all of the 3 photos I've posted so far are of the avocado burger, so I wonder if you can guess my go-to order here? LOL I do also get fries every time but for some reason never took photos of those. Burgers can be ordered 1/2 or 1/3 pound and by default come with a kaiser roll, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise. But you could also get wheat or rye bread. The burgers are delicious, although you need to be able to handle messy burgers that are taller than they are wide. I recommend ordering to go even if you dine in, because then your burger comes wrapped in foil which is convenient for keeping your hands dry while eating! There are also paper towel rolls at every table and a bathroom around back to wash your hands though. The fries are shoestring fries, which are tasty and not so common, so they're nice to get. I've also tried the grilled fish sandwich (very good) and pastrami sandwich (not bad). The fish available will usually be ahi, but mahi and ono are also possibilities according to the menu. There are lots of inside tables and some outside tables. It's pretty cold inside so I opt for outside when available. Finally, parking: there's a handful of stalls in the front and more in a small lot in the back.

Yelp
Heard about the legendary Ortega Burger here. Made a stop after eating at Giovanni's down the street and was not disappointed! This place is famous in north shore and I can see why. Ordered an Ortega Burger and Pineapple Burger because when in North Shore. Burger patties tasted really juicy and flavorful. Personally, I thought the Pineapple burger tasted better than the Ortega. Ortega didn't really have any flavor to the chile and was a bit bland. Shoestring fries were also amazing! I'd say if you're in the area, swing on by for a juicy burger while checking out the surf scene up north!

Clèm B.

Yelp
It is still our favorite place for burgers on the island ! The burgers are great and I love the charcoal taste for the patty and the onions. I wish they had more locations than North Shore

Yelp
Kua Aina Sandwich Shop is a North Shore institution, and their pineapple burger is a must-try that truly lives up to the hype. This burger is out of this world, packed with flavor, and a perfect example of how Kua Aina transforms a simple dish into something extraordinary. The patty is thick, juicy, and grilled to perfection, with just the right amount of smoky char that adds depth and brings out the natural flavor of the beef. But what really sets this burger apart is the fresh, caramelized slice of pineapple. It's lightly grilled, bringing out its sweetness and adding a subtle tang that balances the savory beef in an unexpected and delightful way. Each bite is a burst of flavors, You get the rich, hearty taste of the meat, the brightness of the pineapple, and the crisp freshness of the lettuce and tomato, all layered together in perfect harmony. The pineapple doesn't overpower but instead enhances every other element, tying the entire burger together. The combination of textures is just as satisfying as the flavors. The juicy beef, soft bun, and slight crunch of the veggies, with the tender pineapple in between, create a dynamic, mouthwatering experience. Every bite is loaded with taste, from the first to the last, and the flavors come together seamlessly without a single ingredient feeling out of place. Kua Aina's pineapple burger isn't just a meal - it's a truly Hawaiian experience, packed with bold, unforgettable flavors that showcase why this spot has earned its iconic reputation.

Yelp
BEST. BURGER. IN. HAWAII. Unassuming sandwich shop in Haleiwa, but somehow the best burgers?! Quality, quantity, price, all 5 stars! Parking is free in a lot around the corner. Great indoor and outdoor seating. A/C as well. Juicy, thick burger either 1/2 pound or 1/3 pound, cooked to a temperature. Had options of regular, whole wheat, or rye bread. We tried both whole wheat and regular Kaiser roll, both were tasty but Kaiser is traditional. SUPER generous with the toppings, great ingredients, basically a whole slice of a grilled onion! Half of an avacado!!! And wow the grilled pineapples and grilled Ortega were great! Even loved munching on the carrot stick. Got sides of fries and pickles, thin and crispy fries! Great servers, and person taking our order was also nice! Got free cups of water too on a hot day! If you're craving a burger, go!

Alexandra R.

Yelp
This is a great little spot for sandwiches and burgers! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and even around lunch time on a weekend we were able to park pretty easily out front. I did the avocado burger which had plenty of fresh avocado on top- these taste just like a fresh backyard burger. My husband did the Pastrami, and my son did the kids burger. We shared a large order of fries and will probably get more next time because they were delicious! It does take a little bit for them to make the food because it all seems to be fresh, but my so enjoyed watching the chickens on the patio, and there's also a cute little shop next door you could peruse. They will announce over a speaker when your order is ready!

Jenna E.

Yelp
I try to stop by Kua Aina anytime I'm on the North Shore. Their burgers always hit the spot and the fries are super good too. I'm really picky about my fries and these ones are always consistent. The food also comes out pretty fast even when they're busy. I got a cheeseburger and demolished it. All of my family members ate their entire burger + fries too--whenever I bring people here there's never any leftovers. I wish they had other locations on island, but saw they have a few other shops around the world in Japan/London/Taiwan!

Kshyne W.

Yelp
Kua-Aina Hawaii is an absolute gem! We ordered the bacon cheeseburgers (worth the extra cost, trust me!), and they were phenomenal. I chose the 1/3 lb patty, while my husband went for the 1/2 lb. Both were cooked to perfection--juicy, flavorful, and downright delicious. A tip for fellow diners: don't be afraid of the onions on the burger! They're sweet, perfectly caramelized, and don't leave that sharp onion aftertaste. They elevated the whole experience! On top of the amazing food, the service was unmatched. The young lady at the counter was so courteous, charming, and radiant--it was the best service we've experienced in the four days we've been here. The ambiance is beautiful, both inside and out. We've been dining out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout our trip, and Kua-Aina Hawaii stands out as one of my absolute favorite spots. Don't miss this place--it's a must-visit! Get A CHOCOLATE CHIP COOK too! They're so good!!

Yelp
My fav Burger on da island period! If you're in Haleiwa, you should definitely hit both Storto's, and Kua 'Aina, but they have other Storto's on the island. Kua 'Aina use to be in Ward, but only on the North Shore. Sad that Japan seems to have more locations than Hawaii now! Located in old Haleiwa town across Stone Fish on Kam Hwy, they have a few gravel stalls in front, but I've been parking across the street and walking over, for the parking lot is much bigger there. Kua 'Aina has both lanai, outdoor, and indoor seating with pictures of big wave surfing and surfboards on display to fit da vibe! Another plus is that the indoor A/C works REALLY WELL!! Something about their homemade patties and their type of Bun they use makes for a perfect combination! I've had both sizes of their 1/3 and 1/2 patties, their Ahi Sandwich and homemade fries! All are Ono!! Service has been consistent in both Haleiwa and Ward, when Ward was open, for a counter service joint!. As a pro tip, after you order, find a seat, and prep your paper towels. When you eat a Kua 'Aina burger or sandwich, the piece is hefty and will get on your face no matter how hard you try! Also, if you are sharing fries, eat the fries before anyone else... they go fast ;) Until my next visit to the North Shore, Grind On, Pau!!!

Denise T.

Yelp
Willing to take the drive at least twice a month from Waipahu and Mililani to get our best burgers fix! The service is awesome... on occasion it can get very cold in the dining area with the ceiling fans so I just bring in a sweater! Otherwise we love the place for our sister lunches.

Ayla W.

Yelp
This is our go-to place whenever we're up at North Shore. Always tastes amazing, and it is really inexpensive. The employees are so kind, and the whole store looks (and is!) amazing and fresh. I love the vibe as well, it's really calming and cool. Overall 10/10, love it!

Kathi Y.

Yelp
Great patty, cooked to order, fresh meat, not frozen. A huge half avocado on the avocado burger!! One of the best burgers ever!! Shoestring french fries are not my favorite but they were decent. Big, soft, fresh made chocolate chip cookies that were delicious. Friendly staff, nice ambiance, 10 out of 10 recommendation. Definitely stop through if you are in town and want some good grub.

debi k.

Yelp
Made a stop with friends for lunch! Great burgers fries & sandwich! Burger was made fresh and that whole slice grilled onion was so good - lots of lettuce & tomatoes- OMG GOOD! Turkey avocado lettuce tomato sandwich with whole grain bread- excellent Plenty of parking in front & in back - great staff - clean restaurant! I understand why people love this place!

Yelp
I've been coming to Kua Aina since the early eighties when it was located across the street from the Waialua Courthouse. It was my first gourmet burger and remains the best. Though the burgers are still great when I'm home my visit to Kua Aina is more nostalgia of my youth. The restaurant is nice and clean, as most customers bus their own tables, warm wood and sunshine brighten the small restaurant. It's typically busy but the lines move fast and there's always an empty table by the time you get your food. They offer seafood, chicken, turkey, BLT and vegetable burgers though I always get a classic cheese burger dressed with fresh tomatoes, lettuce and onions. You can get a 1/3 or 1/2 pounder, which is well seasoned and always cooked to perfection. Love their shoe string fries with a healthy dose of pepper and a drizzle of Tabasco. My daughters usually get the avocado and pineapple burger. Surprisingly I do like the pineapple burger, sort of like the much debated Hawaiian pizza (with pineapple and Canadian bacon) there's something about the sweet and savory combination. If you're a little tired of the plate lunches and all that white rice dishes pop into Kua Aina for delicious beefy burger.

Liz B.

Yelp
If you're in the north shore area and looking for a bomb sandwich spot, this is it. Easy to find parking close by and walk over, and food is made fresh to order. Ambiance is like a fast food joint but more home grown. I had the Tuna sandwich on wheat bread and a side of their homemade fries and it was the BEST tuna sandwich I've ever had.

T T.

Yelp
Food A+ 5/5 Service + Ambiance, it's a no frills burger joint are you really here for Ritz Carlton service/ambiance? I can't emphasize how much I miss the in town location for Kua Aina. The beef is fresh, and the flavor is amazing. There's no awful burnt oil/flattop flavor in the beef. Just slightly charred beefy goodness. It's fresh and tasty enough to order medium rare. The beef stands so well on its own you don't need an overpowering gimmicky sauce (the burgers come with a house sauce but they're not doused like some other places). I got the half pound cheeseburger with avocado. The lettuce tomato and pickles are all fresh and packed on. The only con is you need to dislocate your jaw to go full python on these baddies because they are STACKED. They're so good it's worth the total mess so grab your napkins and get a smacking. The buns are also worth noting. While they're not the doughy, almost sweet buns you'll find at other popular burger joints, they hold up perfectly. They soak up all the juices without getting soggy and keep their texture without being dry and chewy. Their are not the prettiest but boy are they perfectly crispy yet soft shoestrings that are just substantial enough to not be complete dried out sticks. I'm not selling them well but they are just delicious. While the burgers are thick luscious towers, the fries are tasty delicate morsels you'll want to devour by the basketful. Obviously I did as I don't have any picture of the fries . Anyways, while I wish Kua Aina returned to town I'm grateful they're still on the island. They're worth the drive to the North Shore so get out here and have at it!

Gina H.

Yelp
While on a vacation, we wanted to go out of downtown Honolulu and try something new. Glad we did! The burger was thick, juicy and cooked medium rare perfect. I am picky when it comes to fries and they were so good! Made with real potatoes, cut thinly, crispy yet not overly crunch. Yum! Plenty of seats inside and outside.

Justin H.

Yelp
I am both sad and happy that the only Kua'Aina on the island is in Haleiwa. Sad that I only get to eat my favorite burger a couple times a year. Happy that my risk of heart disease is lower due to its distance from me. Because if there was a Kua'Aina nearby I'd eat here every damn week. If you're not ordering a burger here, you're doing it wrong. My standard order is the 1/2 pound cheeseburger and a large fries. The shoestring fries are unique and never disappoint. They are a balance of crispy and crunchy but also soft and tender. Love them. But the burger is the star. There has been a push recently for burger patties to be thin and smashed to maximize flavor from browning. Don't get me wrong, I love a good smash burger. But what people seem to forget is that there are many elements that create a good burger patty... it's not simply how brown they are. The Kua'Aina burger is old school; they keep 'em thick, flame grill all their patties, and heavily season them (so important!!!). The patties here are so juicy and the grill adds texture and complexity. Simply put, they are goddamn delicious. Top that with crunchy lettuce, succulent tomato slices, perfectly grilled whole (!!!) onions, and melted cheese and you have yourself a perfect cheeseburger. My mouth is now salivating having written all that out. And looking through old pictures of my past loves, I mean burgers, has me craving another one real soon. I love you, Kua'Aina!!! Thank you for being you.

Kyle K.

Yelp
Great burger place in the north shore to get a bite to eat, food was definitely priced well for the quality and amount. They offer outside seating as well as inside, and encourage a BYOB policy on the menu! Service was quick and hassle free!

Eric S.

Yelp
Great burgers and fish sandwiches. Sandwiches were prepared well and tasted fantastic too. Service and ambiance are perfect for a burger place!

John T.

Yelp
Best burgers we have had in Hawaii so far. They have lots of different types of burgers to choose from. Service was good all the employees were kind and friendly. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available. Go check them out.

Amber H.

Yelp
Great food and awesome service. The prices were also very affordable. I had the 1/3 lb cheeseburger with fries and it was really good. The fries were perfectly seasoned and the burger was nice and juicy. I also ordered a lemonade especially because cause I was sitting outside and it was nice and refreshing. I would definitely recommend visiting this spot if you're on the North Shore.

Billy G.

Yelp
Always a fantastic hamburger, fry's are great too. The people that work there are always happy and serve you with a smile. You can sit inside the AC works well or outside. Don't forget to show your military ID or local and get that discount.

Angel S.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite burgers on island. I've supported this business since they were in Kapolei YEARS back. Sadly, they only have the one location at the North Shore. I come here once in a while whenever I crave a god burger. Service never disappoints. They are always so kind. Food comes out fresh. Fries are my favorite! Burgers taste amazing and are so juicy. My favorite is their Bacon Burger. The store is always very clean but it is also cold inside so don't forget your sweater!

Pedro G.

Yelp
Food was a little pricey but well worth it. Parking in the back made it convenient. Opens at 11 and get crowded quick.

Roman A.

Yelp
BEST burger on Oahu!!!! Service is fast and friendly!! Decor matches the theme of burger on the island and we loved it.

Jim Y.

Yelp
Whether you want a really good burger or sandwich with the works, come to Kua' Aina Sandwich. Different choices of bread, cheese, and toppings, so you can get your sandwich the way you like. Grilled buns, grilled onions too - what's not to like. I got my dad the Kiddie Burger, but as you can see, it's still pretty sizable. I got an old favorite - the turkey, Ortega chile, and cheese (Monterey jack). And the shoestring fries are probably the best anywhere - right balance of crispy and soft, with the skin on for extra flavor. They have seating inside and outside (always a plus). And best of all, we got served with everything in about 5 minutes! Fast service! Convenient parking in the back

Dan M.

Yelp
I've been eating at Kua' Aina Sandwich since 1998. When visiting the islands for business I would always ask my team to take me to Kua' Aina Haleiwa for a medium rare Avocado burger. The ground hamburger meat ranks top in quality beef. Wonderfully charbroiled and cooked to order (Rare, Med Rare, Medium, Well Done) is your choice. Toppings are all fresh and will complement the best burger ever. Bon Appetite! Enjoy! Dan

Alan V.

Yelp
I guess if you don't say how well you like your meat cooked this is the normal. It seemed a little salty also. After surfing I was too hungry to complain.

Amanda N.

Yelp
I literally grew up on Kua Aina burgers and they haven't failed me yet! My family and I recently stopped by to celebrate my dad's birthday and it was a treat for everyone! The staff were professionally and friendly, and our order came super fast! Everything was delicious (as usual), from the burgers to the fries, I can't recommend this place enough! If you want some amazing food and support local make your next stop Kua Aina!

Jason P.

Yelp
Restaurant was empty and thought we would try someplace new. Service was quick and friendly. Nicely decorated with indoor/outdoor seat. Just burgers on the kids menu. Food was not that food overall. I appreciated the whole grilled onion slice but the burger tasted like cheap frozen grocery store meat, far from fresh or tasty. Stick with Teddy's across the street.

Jordana G.

Yelp
Super cute spot with very nice staff. The servings are huge so you can easily split a sandwich or burger and still have room for the skinny fries. I ordered a rare grilled ahi sandwich on multi grain bread with added grilled pineapple and fresh avocado. Just fabulous. Highly recommended.

Robert C.

Yelp
Located in the historical Haleiwa town, this is where you get the best burgers on Oahu. Their concept of a burger is a simple one yet for some reason addicting. I've been a big fan since they had their locations in town but now only in North Shore Area. A simple picture pictured yet the flavor is there! It doesn't have mustard or ketchup but they have condiments to add to your liking! I like it the way it is. Grilled onions just makes a difference here. MEDIUM RARE JUICY PATTY, it runs as soon as you take your first bite. Fries are pretty unique as most are crinkled or cut. I like their finger sized and it pairs pretty well with the burger so you might as well order both! Good amount of seating both indoor and outdoor, ambiance is modern and clean. Service was quick and friendly. WOULD RECOMMEND TO TRY FROM A LOCAL BORN AND RAISED

Dani P.

Yelp
This is normally my spot when my Dad and I take a drive to the North Shore, but we might have to switch it up after this last visit. The tables always seem to be dirty and the burgers seem to be getting smaller...Dad had his usual grilled veggie burger and I tried something new, a Teri Chix sandwich with avocado. It was ok, nothing special. The piece of chix was very small and chewy. It was hard to keep the sandwich together and I landed up eating everything separately. The fries were ok, but I think we got the end of the batch b/c they were all small pieces. Should have asked for a fresh batch. Prices are ok, your in a tourist town so they are a little high....just wish they got more help or took time to clean the area/tables..the flies are kinda gross....

Chaz B.

Yelp
There was a time in the 90s and in the early 2000s where this place was fantastic. They moved from a location they were at (that was a rundown little place taken over by Grass Skirt Grill who also went out of business) and it was much better there in the shit-hole kitchen. They moved down to a more industrial type kitchen and got bigger and they got kinda nasty. Kind of burger you taste for three days after eat it. Like most things things in Haleiwa it caters to the Asian tourist and they want a piece of the experience. Unfortunately, the experience is over and it died. It's not around it's never coming back. It's all commercialized industrial Asian centric and it's never gonna return. Sorry about that. Used to be a good place sucks now the burgers aren't made right the breads not good. The fries are terrible now they used to be awesome greasy everything sucks about the place.

David C.

Yelp
Located in the center of Haleiwa, this is a pretty popular place. And for good reason: the food was very tasty, service was reasonably fast, and prices were average for the area. The one criticism I have is they need to improve their microphone they use to let customers know their order is ready. It's completely indiscernible. It sounds like: "order for haffedrtvdggghhff" or, "order for dgtuknvcsawery."

Sonya L.

Yelp
Went for a later dinner. We sat inside, which was actually really cold until we moved away from the vent blower. It was clean and all the tables had hot sauces and extra napkins. Food was good. We got burgers and sandwiches that had generous portions of the added on avocado. One note about our beverage, we ordered a half-lemonade/half-iced tea, this is not a refillable drink. Their Ortega peppers are spot on in the burger and add to the tastiness. It's also interesting that they serve a side carrot instead of a pickle. I prefer this, since I don't like pickles, but it was the first time I've seen this. The duo that took our order were friendly and nice. Only con is that the items are a little pricey for burgers, fries, and sandwiches, but on par with other gourmet burger locations. Overall, would go again and try another item.

kamaina k.

Yelp
Frequent customer of Kua' Aina over the years and never disappointed. What amazes me is how the prices have not skyrocketed like all eateries around the state. THANK YOU Terry!! Burgers are about $12 for a half pound of juicy goodness.........the only thing that changed is the lettuce now fits in the burger and not protruding so much....lol. Will be making a trip out to Tokyo and will definitely try the Japan version of Kua Aina......

Tricia F.

Yelp
Large burger! And I ordered the smaller version! Tasty and well done. Prompt and friendly service. Parking behind the restaurant, but watch out for the potholes! Cool and comfortable spot for a sandwich when visiting the North Shore.

Noah L.

Yelp
Always check yelp before I eat out, rarely do I leave a review. This place has amazing burgers. The avocado burger hit the spot. And I got my food quickly, the seating is nice and clean as well

Laurence K.

Yelp
Wasn't busy and fries soggy not cooked all the way . My fault I should of ordered well Done fries My avocado burger was missing the avocado so I had to go back to get it, no one in line took 5 minutes to Get my order correct too busy chit chatting with each other now fries a soggy mess Sort of disappointed been here about 5 times before Used to be pretty good Oh well

Lindsey M.

Yelp
I've been heading out to the Northshore more than usual. I felt like I've tried almost all of the eateries out there for the most part and have been to Kua'Aina Sandwich before. I wasn't impressed the first time. The sandwich seemed just okay, small, and overpriced. A few friends were in town and it was one of the more affordable options out there for an actual meal (beyond acai bowls and shave ice). I ordered the Reuben Sandwich with all the fix ins and an order of the fries. The place didn't have indoor dining, so it was busier for seating than usual. We snagged a table and waited about 15 minutes for our sandwiches. Again, I wasn't expecting much but today was a new day. And this was a new sandwich that was better than I could have ever imagined. Oh wow that Reuben changed my view of the restaurant. It was warmed, juicy, and peppery. The bacon was perfectly toasted and fatty. The bun was nice and held together quite well. I would go back just for that sandwich. Their fries on the other hand were shoestring fries. Limp, skinney, and more like hashbrowns that want to be fries. Great place, but I'll stick to the sandwiches and burgers over the sides for now.

Jon O.

Yelp
Great lunch spot in the heart of Haleiwa! I had the BLT & Avocado sandwich that was stuffed full of bacon and fresh avocado, complemented by the thick toasted wheat bread. Shoestring fries were also tasty and crunchy. My wife liked the eggplant sandwich, and her sister enjoyed the mahi sandwich. The rest of my family had burgers which they said was okay but not anything special. Parking can be a bit of an issue during busy times, but there's lots of tables both inside and out to enjoy your meal.

Violet B.

Yelp
Hands down best burger on north shore. If you're wondering what to eat when you go there, just buy the 1/2 lb cheese hamburger with everything.

Hope S.

Yelp
Got the 1/2 pound cheeseburger with Cheddar cheese. The burger was huge but also on the pricer side. The meat was delicious and juicy but just a little too salted for my taste. Shoestring Fries gave me memories of my childhood! Location is easy in Haleiwa with a bunch of parking in the front and back. Good spot if you are craving a burger!

Michel S.

Yelp
I made it to Oahu for the weekend and knew that I was coming to North shore. I contacted some friend that are local to the North shore area and they told me that I needed to come to this restaurant. Not only that but they suggested what to order. I was suggested a Mahi Mahi Ortega Sandwich with avocado . The Ortega way means that they will add a roasted pepper , cheese and a sauce. The Mahi Mahi was cooked to perfection, it had great flavor and it was hot. The flavor from the avocado the pepper and sauce sauce was magic. I normally don't add sauces to my sandwich because it changes the flavor of the main item which in this case is the fish. It added the flavor and made it more memorable. The staff was great, very courteous, friendly and welcoming. They sure love what they do because the way they carried themselves. The store was clean and the tables were very organized and you can eat outside and in order. They best part it is that they have a roll of paper towels on the table as the sandwiches are a little messy from the sauce. If you are in town, give them a chance and order yourself a burger , a sandwich and enjoy the flavor in your mouth. Until next Mahalo Nui Loa.

Yelp
Pretty decent burger place but sometimes hit or miss with the fries if you like them crisp. Great place for an easy lunch stop. Their hamburgers are and good and so is their tuna sandwich. Pretty good quality for the price. Tends to get crowded during peak lunch hours

Yelp
Great food, with outdoor and indoor seating avaliable. We had the burgers and they came pretty quickly. Great spot for lunch or dinner and very conveniently located in Haleiwa. There is parking around back, otherwise probably down the street.
